I always say this but I really love spending time with the Brockmans. It is bittersweet as it brings back memories of my family (mom/dad/siblings) and we were all here. I found using a grapefruit spoon works great to take the seeds out. Accidents always happen a the worst time. A holiday wouldn't be the same without one.
Jennifer, I come from a big family. My parents had 2 girls and 5 boys. I always remember when my parents would grocery shop. My dad would always butcher the meat he would get from the grocery store. They would get a sirloin tip and my dad would make steaks, stew meat, and roasts. Sometimes my dad would make sauerbraten with red cabbage, potato dumplings, and ginger snap gravy. So good!
You must have been exhausted Jennifer after all that cooking and baking. The food all looked delicious and it looks like the family had a fun time.
Maria is absolutely precious. I so enjoyed hearing her sing as she was doing the dishes and watching her help you. Thank you for another wonderful video, Jennifer.🎄
Maria making the comment about planning had me laugh. She seems to really enjoy helping in the kitchen. The big news at our Thanksgiving was my daughter telling family she is expecting in the spring. I felt this video was family life and I enjoy these the most.
This was my first year not hosting. It was wonderful.
You most certainly aren't obligated to post a long Thanksgiving video. I am so glad you did, though. I love all of your videos. But the holiday ones are so nice to watch because we get to see all the love you have for your family. It doesn't hurt that you make great food either!

You're always so cool & calm. If 21 ppl were coming to our home for Thanksgiving, I would be a cranky spazz, no joke. Looked like everyone loved the food, games & ugly punch. You made wonderful memories and you're a great role model for others.
It looked like yall had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our Thanksgiving was great also. My daughter and sister in love brought most of the dinner to our house this year. The first time I did not cook 75% of the dinner. I'm so thankful for family...my husband was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so it has been a tough 3 months. Faith and prayer is getting us through this and hopefully a cure. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us. Love to you all....❤😊
I love these types of videos!! We had a great Thanksgiving and the food was delicious!! Love the leftovers! With the butternut squash, I cut the skin off, yes, a labor of love, cube it, put salt, pepper, a little oil and honey and roast in the oven until done. The cubes have just a little bit of char on them but not burnt. So delicious that all the family loves it. I roast it quite a lot. Have tried for two years to grow some in the garden and have had very little luck. When I purchased several of them, I cut them up, seal them and freeze them. Then they’re ready to roast for another meal. Glad you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!! From Alabama!!❤

I always put the squash in the microwave, any kind, for 8 to 10 minutes. Let it cool a little and cut in half, scoop out, season however you want. I wrap the halves in foil and bake in the oven. We like butter and a little brown sugar. So easy to do this way.

I’ve mentioned this before, but once I made your cranberry nut pie, I WAS HOOKED! It is definitely one of my most favorites. It tastes like Christmas!

I do enjoy me some squash. My favorite way is to also bake like you did but then I add butter and either maple syrup or orange marmalade. I do enjoy these longer videos, Thanks!

I completely understand the oil spill,as I did that exact same thing on Thanksgiving Day this year. We're also very busy with Deer processing at my work.
Hopefully it was an easy cleanup.
Everything looked delicious! I love Maria helping out in the kitchen sometimes I have to remind myself that slowing down for my children to help me (5 years old) in the kitchen is worth it for the bonding time together!

I cook my butternut whole, without cutting and once it’s cooked remove the seeds. Much easier, :) I love squash. Butternut is my favorite.
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Oh how precious Maria is, she is such a big help in the kitchen. Her singing while doing the dishes made me think of of my grandmother. She always would sing with such joy in her heart.

Tell Maria that the punch could be called swamp juice, that’s what we called our concoction that looked like muddy water but tasted so good.

I'm still playing catch up. Earlier today I watched the one about 1st day of gun hunting. When Emily's little one was stirring it took me aback. I thought "what is going on? Maria stirs better than that. " THEN I realised Emily was there and of course that was her little girl stirring!! How can she be old enough yet??

This reminds me years ago as I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner I was telling my grandaughter that I saw a bunch of wild turkey out the kitchen window. She thought a minute then asked if I bought the turkey at Kroger's! I had to laugh. Your dinner looks fantastic! I agree with Maria about the pumpkin pies. I think your ugly punch made a great conversation starter! The girls when they were little used to like to mix flavors of Kool-aid together so we had some kind of wild colors of that but the one that stuck that they made over and over was camo juice. It was like and orange tasted very good but looked terrible. It even made it to one of their birthday parties along with a camo frosted cake
As kid, I hated squash. But as an adult, I loooove it! But always make buttercup squash. I roast it whole in the oven. When it’s cooked. It is so easy to cut it into and just scoop out the seeds then. 🇨🇦
Love butter nut squash. I bet if Maria tried it she would like it , it’s much milder than pumpkin. We like acorn squash stuffed with apples and cranberries. Table looks beautiful. The Grinch punch lol 😂 thank you for sharing your family! 🍁🦃🍁

We don't eat turkey legs or wings. I cook the whole bird even wild ones we've gotten, then take the neck, wings, legs and carcass of the turkey and make broth.
It doesn't matter if the parts are hard, cooking them for broth allows the flavor to come out.
Besides you strain it anyway

The cranberry pie looks so easy! I have lots of cranberries in the freezer and a bunch of almonds. I wonder if cranberry almond would be good, too.
