    This looks like a perfect candidate for the flexible Elasto Plastic material! It would be PERFECT to see how diamond structure deforms from different orientations.

    So, what is the mathematical equation that describes such a shape? I understand how its printed, but the structure you are showing started off as what?

      The vertices can be seen as sitting on a cubic lattice, with the edges being in the directions of the long diagonals of a cube. The wikipedia page for "Diamond cubic" shows some good pictures for this.
