Here is another handling video about my big female Brachypelma annitha. I’ve handled at least 14 tarantula species, including small Poecilotheria fasciata, regalis, metallica, Ceratogyrus marshalli, Acanthoscurria geniculata, Grammostola rosea, pulchra, Monocentropus balfouri, lambertoni, Brachypelma verdezi, klaasi, annitha, A. chalcodes, Avicularia versicolor. Some of them just once and some of them twice or more.
This species looks like B. smithi, but there are several differences, one of them is the carapace’s colour, also colour of knees are different and B. annitha (Mexican Giant Red knee) is bigger than B. smithi (Mexican Red knee). B. smithi has black carapace, B. annitha has orange or red carapace, there’s not so much black colour. Both species are quite docile, as a form of defence they kick hairs but they will not bite you, they will not even display a threat pose. This species is suitable for begginers and if you know what you’re doing it’s able to handle them without any problems. I often work with 30 cm long tweezers, it’s useful especially if I work or rehouse fast species (Poecilotheria, Chilobrachys, Pterinochilus and so on).
Music was composed by me, I have a digital piano Yamaha NP-V80 piaggero. I work with the following software: Audacity, Sony Vegas Pro 13, Magix Music Maker 2014. I've been playing on the piano since July 2012.
Visit my main CZcams channel "Marek Kučera" about animals (especially tarantulas, chameleons and others) or my second channel "Marek Kučera [Inferion7] - Music" about music and piano.
As an arachnophobe this is a beautiful spider and I would absolutely be willing to handle this spider to overcome my fear. She is just so beautiful!
She's calm, very suitable to handle.
Wow! That's a beautiful spider.
I think so. =)
Its a Tarantula.
I have arachnophobia and dislike the smaller spiders (such as the huntsman), but specimens such as this one... I can't help but like it. Seems gentle, and more like an 'animal'.
+ScorpioNick She's absolutely calm, she hasn't kicked a single hair during this handling video. It's quite safe to pick her up.
+Marek “Inferion7” Kučera
And such striking colours! She's beautiful. There was no aggression from her, I was quite jealous watching that to be honest. I don't feel right making a request of you, but I really would like to see more of this particular one.
+ScorpioNick There is one older video about this one escaping the terrium, search the video in my channel. =)
tarántula especies are gentle but a goliath bird eaters blue tarántula and red rumps are aggresive to some people but they can be handled
+Javier Vargas
i meant cobalt blue tarantula
Usually when I think of Tarantulas, I get repulsed and anxious but this has to be first time seeing one that looks so beautiful and peaceful.
Achilles Caezar i used to think of theb bad. If you get into their mini lives , u will get so attached that u will wanna hold one! im gettion one now lol
the music is really peaceful too beautiful spided
spider
That is by far the most beautiful female Red Knee I've seen on CZcams in a long time.
Such gorgeous colors, and yet such gentle and easy temperment from her. I am considering on getting one when I have the money.
Again, what a beautiful girl she is.
I'm not about to call it cute, but it's kinda endearing how it probes around for surface and lifts its legs so high when walking
It's quite amazing, handling tarantulas is an enjoyment, they're quite soft and curious. =)
I have arachnophobia too but by watching lots of videos like this one I managed to actually have a small tarantula sit in my hand. Tarantulas are the teddy bears of spiders and this one is really beautiful.
Exactly, some of them are the teddy bears. =D
beautiful music for a wonderful animal that is so important for our ecosystem
My first love the Mexican Red Knee, is in my opinion the coolest and easiest to handling of tarantulas, I LOVE IT! Beautiful video bro!
WOW that's a beautiful spider! My favorite one. This spider looks so cute.
I agree with you =)
This a beautiful tarantula. Actually my favourite breed.
I recently got myself a Mexican red knee sling, obviously unsexed. It’s tiny! All black/grey and the size of a 5p! Crazy to think something so small will grow to something so big! I can’t wait to watch my little Diablo grow ⭐️
if the spider bits you , you become spider man !!!!
Just about 3 months ago i had major arachnophobia. ~ and somehow my fear of spiders just vanished ~ and now i love spiders. Especially this kind! They're so pretty and amazing ~ i'm most definitely going to get one someday
That's perfect. You got rid of an arachnophobia, now you love spiders, what made you change your opinion?
honestly i'm not completely sure~ i just woke up one morning and its almost as if my fear of them just vanished. i wasn't scared of them anymore. ~ which i'm glad about because spiders are amazing creatures
- CheeseMango - the red knee is very beautiful and kinda cute, but unfortunately it still won't get rid of my fears of every other type of spider
She has stunning colours !
Also, to me she seemed happier on your hands than the blue carpet.
Soon I shall own some tarantulas...
it would be easy to buy some spiderlings and accessories,
but I need to learn more so I will be a competent T owner !
This spider is so pretty! Its my favorite tarantula. I find this species very friendly! :)
Absolutely beautiful.
Soooooo pretty! Makes me want to cry! Such beautiful coloring on the little knees
I love tarantulas their so beautiful I use to hate spider but over came that fear and now I love them
that is great =)
Any movie or TV show that has tarantulas in it are Red Knees! Indiana Jones, Land of the Giants, Wild Wild West. They all used them because they just refuse to bite. I have two of em and they are little puppies
Majestic song and majestic spider? Perfect man, love it
I'm getting one of these but they still send Shivers up my spine XD
that should help eliminate the phobia of spiders.
its like a house pet animal, its bcoz of the size.....superb!
Beautiful! I'm thinking of getting a Mexican Red Knee I have never gotten a pet tarantula in my entire life so far is it a good type of tarantula?
Yes, almost every Meican Brachypelma is suitable for beginners. Genus Grammostola too,
Awesome!
Wish we can get these in Australia 😥
Reminds me of a calico cat for some reason.
That my friend is a beautiful tarantula! Look at those colors! wow!
What a beauty
Beautiful coloring ;-)

+Damion Sellers Thank you, this one os "suitable" for handling, I mean that this species barely bites and this one (female) is very calm.
She looks beautiful
beautifull.. awesome..
Beautiful.
looks more like a B. Smithi to me
Beautiful color
I love it!
she's beautiful!
beautiful 👍
Truly awesome
Wow Lovely Coloration
Sorry but I think this is a smithi (hamorii) instead of the annitha (new smithi). its the shape of the carapace marking that determines the species. anyway, she's so cool tho

what a BEAUTIFUL spider..i was kinda scared of them for along time after a Texas brown, out in the country jumped at me and over my shoulder, scared the **out a me ! ..an I don't like black widows, brown recluse , daddy long legs, jumping spiders ect..but lm starting to like trantulas , and this is my favorite species..besides the Honduran curly hair..i want one like this.. think I'd get over my fear of spiders real quick..lol
I've had it for almost a year given by a friend. Ima start posting videos of it and when I feed it go check them out
very nice sir..applause
thank you =)
I owned a Chili for a few years. He was already 8 years old when I acquired him and he lived for a further 5 years (one morning I got up and he had died in the night. Completely unexpected) what I want to know is, do red knees bite? My chili never bit me but he would let me know he didn't want to be held by flicking his hairs at me. I heard that getting bitten by a chilli was like being stung by a hornet.
that is a beautiful Tarantula, good job looking after her she is gorgeous, oh I so do love Mexican red knees and Avicularia Metallicas but sadly I can't have them where I am, they are not allowed in my country, I live in Australia, so I created two magic the gathering cards based on them one a Mexican red knee and the other avicularia metallica
In Australia there live plenty of amazing spiders, it's better to see big spiders in their natural environment instead of keeping them home. I live in the Czech Republic so there is no chance to see a tarantula or other big spiders, they don't live in Europe.
i like to see this spider, but im so scared about them! so i don't take them as a house pet. but its a beautiful animal
does she make you itchy when you touch her or no? like do the hairs make you itchy when you pet her?
How big is it? I would love to get one, but I don't know where to find any available
i handled spider first when i was 7 years old :) since this happened, i have two spider, and i don't fear about spiders, darkness, in alone nights in house, and any "scary" things..... and all of my friends who have spiders, and don't scare to handle the little friends not afraid about this things.. like me :) interesting hahh? Spiders are able to help you finish your fears.
When I was young I used to handle and play with spiders. The've always fascinated me. Now I'm almost 23 and I don't think that this will ever change =)
So beautiful!! I have 3 Tarantulas!
1.Adult female Mexican Red Knee
2.Adult male Golitath Bird eater
3.Juvenile female salmon pink bird eater...also,how to get rid of the itch from their hairs??..Still,Your videos are awesome!!!So cool im jealous!!
She is, nice collection, goliath bird eater (Theraphosa blondi) is quite rare, specially in europe. There is no way to get rid of the itch, one person told me to use hot water, but it does not help.
Thank you.
Np,my Goliath Bird eater's mother was wild caught and her mother died 3 days after she layed eggs..Most of the tarantulas in the eggs did not survive,My male goliath tarantula luckily survived :-).
My mexican red knee was bought from an exotic pet store. My salmon pink bird eater was wild caught. And my mexican red knee is pregnant.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
pěkneeej Já mám taky doma povouka ale je starej asi měsíc :)
a jaký druh máš?
Would these make good first time tarantula's ? Are they passive ? How fast are they ??
Yes, most of the time they just sit, among tarantulas this species is not so fast.
how old is your tarantula ?
Noone can answer you. I bought her 3 years ago and I suppose she's been 2 years old at that time.
Hi everyone i need your help!
I have a 7 year old mexican redknee that behaves strange,(i bought it in 2010) it (dont know the gender actually) doesen't eat and haven't eat for atleast 1 month now although i have given medium-sized crickets a couple of times now. the last time today maybe 10 minutes ago. it looks, how should i explain, like it doesent have molted for a while maybe half a year now. the color is not that bright it fades out as the time goes.
since i dont know the gender the spider might be old and tired but considering i dont know the gender i dont know if it is sick or ill.the male could be at its healthiest condition 7 years old and the female around 35 years old from what i have read.
it has moistured moss often aswell as i daily 2 times a day spray with a barber-shop hairspray with water. on the glass terrarium sides and on the moss. i have noticed that sometimes when watering it has been mold inside (i have removed it when i have seen it) sometimes due to overspraying, now i spray lessamount of water to avoid mold on the moss. is it ill due to mold or what is the problem? please help
//best wishes johnny knoxville
Red knee tarantula are they from Mexico 🇲🇽???
Yes, I guess every Brachypelma comes from Mexico.
whats the difference between b annitha and b smithi
read description
Marek Kučera thanks
It's the prettiest thing...it looks like a toy it doesn't look real!
I love this species.
What's her name?
Tarantulas are sensitive to sound, so keep your voice in a appeasing way, or it will chase or feel threatened.
is this one venomous?
+Johnhae P yes, but only a little, it cannot kill you, venom of genus Brachypelma is not deadly, but you would probably have to visit a hospital for several days when being bitten
I have a beautiful turantula
