A friend of my father gave him this bike. The bike was always outside standing in the rain and sun and snow. My father disassembled the whole bike and build it again. Painted the fuel tank, drawing the lines in the fuel tank. Last Wednesday I passed my motorcycle license, now my father gave me the bike so I can ride it.

Changing brake fluid on a mechanical rear drum brake is a service I’d really like to witness.

I bought my 1981 in 1982 off the showroom floor. Had a small cafe fairing and the wind beat the heck outta me going to a Guzzi rally in W.V. So it turns out that Leufmeister made a fairing with a factory match on the paint. Turquoise. Added stiffer front fork springs and a set of Krouser deluxe saddle bags. Had some nice rides on that Bike. I just bought a 1984 R100 in excellent condition and will be reluctantly selling the R65. I may do a restore on it or sell it as is haven't decided yet. There's very few R65's that have the Leufmeister matching fairing out there. I only saw one other in black. If anyone is interested in buying my R65, just reply here. I'm gonna miss that machine but I'm physched for the R100!!

No, it is not. It's cable operated drum brake. You can even see the lever there. 6:13
