- The goal was to make it look awesome and unbeatable but Luke doesn't really care. This is all characters and the most fun or interesting supers vs Akuma's KKZ.
"Hit back+taunt and then mash down+taunt until he gets out his rice ball then you unlock this version of Akuma (with a double air fireball and some new supers). After this, KKZ is performed [d, d + PPP]"

As soon as I saw the twitter clip of some guy doing the secret taunt to do the secret supers, I knew it was gonna make for some sick ass desk videos. Here's to plenty more slick fighting game videos.

it's a completely optional challenge so if your opponent accepts it the way the match ends is their fault

Definitely! Among some other things. Functional taunts for sure need to make a return, for example, Bryan in Tekken. His taunt is literally combo viable.

Desk is making more content for Akuma than for SF main chars or poster boys/girls. Very understandable though. Akuma is someone who has the same popularity status of a main char in SF but the makers just refuse to advertise his image like the main chars. Like, he actually has the highest crossover rate in the SF franchise, higher than Ryu and Ken.
I love how most of the new characters can handle Akuma's Secret Super, as if Akuma wasn't aware of them and has been training for what he did know from the past and wasn't ready for the new guys.

Akuma's moveset, that was already rich since the 90s, has been expanding even further currently and now it reaches the field of crossover, with the modern KKZ being a reference to Terry Bogard. (Actually since his SF5 super)
Maybe Akuma was really inspired by Terry, after so many Capcom x SNK crossovers in the past... Also he seems to be the type who would analyze and appreciate anything good he sees and assimilate it, if he finds it good enough, without issues of pride.
? What's so different about modern KKZ vs. 3rd Strike KKZ? Also Akuma got KKZ before the crossovers with SNK IIRC. Maybe Capcom were inspired by SNK when making 3rd Strike (Especially with the existence of Remy), but Akuma as a wouldn't have been surprised by Terry.

That last could end with both Akuma doing Raging Demon lol. But i'm surprised Lily, Luke, Aki, JP, Dhalsim, and Ken super can get through KKZ.
Of those six, only Lily and Dhalsim beating it cleanly surprised me. J.P., Ken, and especially Luke all have top tier privilege (so in a way it's more surprising Guile also can't), and A.K.I.'s super is slow and disjointed enough in how it lingers that I figured she'd trade at worst. Honestly surprised to see that non-glitched Rashid tornado lost too though. Huh.

LiLy super consider as a jump which usually have invincible-frame when it start up. Which explain why she can hit Akuma even if she start her super sooner than his. The same thing happen to Ken's super, I guess.
You can also see Ryu's super have invincible-frame when it start up too, which is why he took the damage later after he jump in the air.

@@carlosaugusto9821 I was hoping for a sequel to SvC Chaos for 2 decades now. They made those games because they were struggling at the time and tried teaming up. But companies are not struggling at the moment with making games so there won't be a collaboration anytime soon. The closest was Tekken X SF and even that was shelved. We can still hope!
Excuse me? Ken's works, but not Ryu's? That just doesn't sit well with me. They could at least give Ryu this, for lore's sake.

what if your father caught the attention of akuma and he tried ehonda's critcal art at point blank range intending to kill him with it but akuma saw through this and landing the hardest hitting Admant FLame sending your father flying back 30 yards into the air and leaving him severely in critical condition him never waking up again when yall found him and it put him in a coma indefinitely

Seems to be a hit property thing. If the super is active but stays out of akumas super and is still active when his finishes, it seems it can beat it. If there aren’t enough hits or his is still active they love. At least that’s what I saw

Marisa’s level 1 super has a secret mechanic, if you use it just before getting hit you get invincibility frames, so I guess it could work

KKZ AND Misogi, but they're effectively unusable in normal play, since he has a like 15s taunt where he eats food to unlock them(and the shin Akuma double air fireballs)
Judging from Ken's interaction, I guess anything that can anti-air AND have more invincibility frames than Akuma's ground pound can blow through it.

so it seems only supers with start-up invincibility can physically knock Akuma out of it. and there seem to only be 2
that can do that and Ryu isnt one of them with his Shin Shoryuken, which you'd think would FOR SURE have i-frames.

What i think they should do is give every character 3 different level 2 supers to choose from at the beginning kind of like 3rd strike. Lvl1 and lvl3 will remain the same

He is in the game. You transform into Shin Akuma with a taunt.

Akuma became so powerful in this new era that his full moveset has to be locked. Shin Akuma is no longer that mythical rare encounter from some old games, always a secret boss. He is Shin Akuma all the time but just holds himself down. It reminds of the anime trope of holding back full power and only use a small portion of it, and still being powerful and oppressive.
