    I had the privilege to represent Cybill Shepherd for a TV Commercial produced in Caracas, Venezuela. The storyboard integrates Cybill and Willis in the scenes of this Commercial as well as photos posted in the Newspaper. Name of the Comercial: Banco Republica ends of the 80s. It was a great time and we get paid for our job as models.

      The show was built around her, then Bruce's career broke out and he got too much script time and had more perks than Cybill, I heard. The guys hung together...producers, writers, directors...Bruce ultimately became wealthier and had more star power, Hollywood being what it is and the boys' club. Egos...money...network demands and clout...careers...money...all adds up to conflict.

    She was perfectly cast as Daisy Miller, the young and beautiful American chatterbox, and she did a wonderful job. I thought the film was excellent -- I believe the script was written by Larry McMurtry, who really admired Henry James. But there was a weird backlash against Bogdanovich at the time. It's a shame, as I think a lot of his films from the seventies are undervalued.

    • @Loveyalise85
      @Loveyalise85 Před měsícem

      I agree, but I blame Peter Bogdanovich more. She was very young, new to the ways of Hollywood, and I feel he really took advantage of her naitivity back then. Sadly it followed her. She has so much talent and could have been so much bigger if not for that mistake.

    • @keganpinto45

      @@Loveyalise85 Honestly I don't think she was as naive as people make her out to be at the time. I'm sure she was as shrewd as the next up and coming actress in Hollywood hoping Peter Bogdanovich was her ticket to the big time!! He was a one hit wonder at best and married at the time!! I mean I could understand if the guy was Spielberg!! She took what she thought was the elevator to success!!

    • @Loveyalise85
      @Loveyalise85 Před měsícem

      @keganpinto45 Well, you have a right to your opinion ion but I disagree with it. I'm not saying she didn't understand what she was doing, but I do thi k she was used and manipulated. It's a k own fact in the .medical field that a person's brain isn't fully developed until the age of 25, which is why many young people make big mistakes, because thier ability to reason and make good decisions hasn't been fully developed just yet. She was very young .Who of us hasn't made a major life mistake. The sad thing is her.followed her. But had she been a man , it would have been celebrated in Hollywood.

    Ascendant Libra with two planets, what a beauty. Her birth natal chart is really very good. Normally she should have been much more famous with this horoscope.
    An even bigger Hollywood star. But she has a handicap in the interpersonal area, I think that was a big problem for the career. She ruined herself a lot there, too bad.

      She just got tired of being subjugated by the toxic frat boy mentality on the Moonlighting set and stood her ground. If a reboot of Designing Women were to happen i'd love to see her play a new character. She only occasionally works now if a part comes along that she likes.

    If I had to choose Bruce over Cybil it would definitely be Bruce. IMHO I fancy Bruce alot more and find him to be more entertaining and better actor. They both need to take their over inflated ego and swelled head out of their arse. They’re both not that great of actors but I do fancy the Die Hard series! Get over yourselves the lot of you!

      Yes, I just started watching some of Cybill's interviews online and reading them. It seems, to me anyway, that interviewers LOVE to focus on the negative where Cybill is concerned. It's as if they don't think, or even CARE if Cybill is hurt by what they say. I really don't see them focusing so much on other actors' failures, at least not to the point where you are insulting the actor. I feel for Cybill. I think she does good work. She really can act. In her movie with Jeffrey Nordling, 'Baby Brokers', she was excellent.
