Iphone definitely shoots better video. I'm talking about the distortion when you send a video from one platform to the other. It sucks both ways.
Just to add for anyone here considering getting an Android from iPhone. It's actually Apple that stops Android devices from transmitting texts/video in the same format that iPhone iMessages are sent in. You can blame Apple for that.

I just saw a comment of a girl saying she doesn't know how to send her high quality videos through tex. She was an iPhone user and I'm so confused cause there are soo many ways to send high quality stuff whether the person is close by or not. She said she may return it because of that. For a grown woman she forgot how to use Google or is it because android users know there's ALWAYS a work around for your problem.
A regular Android user knows how to tweak the phone to extend battery life. Personally, I don’t miss anything from the iPhone.
things i miss:
performance/stability (mine constantly lags and has stutters, even right outside of the box)
autofill on android is overall atrocious compared to ios (and i thought ios autofill was atrocious)
no matter how much i modify the phone the battery just doesnt handle a power user well (was very aware of this before i bought it)
i miss how much more polished the apps are overall on ios and how its more aesthetically pleasing. Most apps look almost....janky/cartoonish on android (i usually mod that with rooting my pixel devices)
touch screen is hit or miss on responsiveness for me (also seems to be well documented from others as well)
@@princessmoo4891 If you have a flagship android, your performance shouldn't be that bad. I have a galaxy S20 and it has never once stuttered or lagged. And this is a two year old phone.
@princessmoo4891 I have an s22 ultra and I have experienced lag but only 2 or 3 times. But I consider that a small tradeoff for freedom and flexibility. I use an iphone as my work phone, it's beautiful and slick but the S22 ultra just has more and better features. If she is gonna comment on one UI she needs to commit to the entire Galaxy ecosystem. She is still trying to use that phone with a bunch of ios stuff 🙄 😒 😑

The Z Flip4 is a good phone for those who want to try something different. Since Apple did not release a new iPhone mini thus year, the Z Flip could be tempting to some. In terms of messages, I feel like this is an issue within the U.S. and Apple itself. Realistically, iMessage is not really popular internationally. Even iPhone users in those regions use 3rd parry apps like Android users to send good quality photos and videos. I do think Apple should allow RCS so it can mitigate the issue because SMS is outdated.

I’m switching to the Flip 4 tomorrow from my iPhone 11 (it’s just too big for my scrub pockets, the amount of times it’s fallen out of my pocket at work when I’ve been bending/crouched down)… and my partner who is American and resides in the US, tried to convince me to get the iPhone 14 instead simply for iMessage.
I solely use iMessage, so does everyone I know so idk what your talking about

The thing with Androids is the battery life SUCKS when you first get the device. Android devices learn about your phone usage over the first few weeks and adapts to your battery usage as you use it. I went from an iPhone to the S22 Ultra and was terrified when I first got it because it was dying WAY fast and was draining by the second......and then after about a week or so, the battery life was INSANE!! Don't worry!! It'll get better!!

Yep I have a Samsung as well (different model). I can use it for 2 full days without charging, with the occasional games. Its a 7000MaH battery though.
I had a S23 ultra and battery life was 💯
I've always had Androids and my man was who taught me this. You're suppose to basically abuse the battery the first few of using the device so it sees it as "normal" consumption. So turn your brightness up and anything that would usually "drain" your battery and you'll see your phone adjust to suit your usage.

i also switched to the z flip 4 after being an iphone user and i absolutely love it! i have no problems w battery either, i have it on protect battery so it's always at 85% and it lasts me all day. i dont really play games or watch youtube on it but i do use tiktok for hours 😭 only issue i have is the people in my life all have iphones so sending videos on messages ruins the quality like you mentioned but i also use LINE app as my primary messaging so that pretty much fixes the video issue haha. other than that, 100% love my z flip 4 and don't plan on getting another iphone anytime soon!
i’m glad you’re enjoying your phone! by protect battery do you mean power saving? i always had mine on and it still died pretty quickly
@@OyindaOduyoye not the power saving, it's the option where your phone only charges to 85% so that way it actually preserves your battery over the years! i also try not to let it drop to 20% frequently and i constantly check my battery and device care to make sure it's always great instead of good by optimizing it! my last iphone was the iphone x i dont remember much of the battery life when i first got it but before i bought the z flip 4, it would only last me 3-4 hours i believe. i dont use my phone much other than texting or tiktok so that may also be why my battery doesnt die so quickly!

I think using video screensavers on the front screen will impact your battery quite a bit?
You can also send videos over Facebook Messenger as well to iPhone users and it won't impact the quality and you can send full videos instead of having to trim them cause of the file size.
I bought this separately, it's great! I still have my iPhone but this phone has so many different features that I love better than the iPhone.
Which one would you recommend better? An iPhone or the Zflip?

How do you switch back and forth? Do you just move over the sim to the phone you want to use?
@@hannahjoyhopes yes! depending on your plan & insurance, if the phone you're currently using with the sim cracks or has some kind of issue, it will cover it; even if you've switched your chip over to the other phone. although i was told by my network provider that the sim would have had to be in the phone for about a day or so for the insurance to switch over

my mom has this phone and i'm an avid iphone user. i keep staring at her flip phone cuz it looks cute, and everytime i see it i start contemplating whether i should trade my iphone 12 to hers. my only problem with iphone is the battery draining very fast, which is also a problem with the z flip 4 (according to my mom) but i still wanna have a phone like that, it's super cute and nice to look at. 💜

This was good information. My 5yrs plus iPhone 8S needs to be charged after a few hrs. It’s a great phone but doesn’t allow me to delete photo’s in bulk. They photo’s reappear once we thought they were deleted, but with extra icloud, the phone works better

Great review, I'm older user, I dont really use social media to such as great extent. I find it amusing to see what is considered a problem. I think the main take away is if your already happy with Iphones, stick to it. I resent the price of Iphones the lightening port. I have a work iPhone, but I might get one for my personal life once the once the EU regulations kick in.
I loved finding ur vid cuz I'm lucky enough to afford a second phone. I like the cuteness of the z flip 4 and I am waiting for mine to arrive! I'm excited about the accessories tooo! I bought it for a steal. I recommend getting it second hand if you can and want a second phone.

battery life drainning fast for this phone.2-3charges at least for a day if your planning to buy this phone. The phone is smooth nice monitor. This phone really look cool compare to the other normal smart phones. the outler screen is very useful especially for selfie you either use the front or back to selfie yourself
My advice for earphones with the z flip 4, get the beats studio buds or the beats fit pro buds because they connect easier and work seamlessly.

@Rae🤎 yes they do. The beats fit pro go on sale here and again, and the beats Studio buds do too. You download the app and they walk you through how to connect. They even give an animation when you want to pair them. I see beats studio buds on sale for $90 on Amazon and occasionally the beats fit buds go on sale for $160. I hope that helps.
Considering switching myself. Like you mentioned my iPhone 12 just looks exactly the same as 14. Only thing is I’ve a few AirTags that will be useless if I switch 😂

@celinaaaaaa3 My wife has an apple phone, so they are still in use. There is an app on android where they make a sound when close by. That's all I can find so far.

Honestly one of the best reviews. I don’t use AirPods. I’ve honestly always been a over ear headphone kind of girl. And as someone who is really into headphones, it kind of bothered me that the air max were so expensive for what they were. Headphone tech is not that expensive. For the AirPods, you can make an argument that the price is worth it when you consider the non music functionality. But the air max has none of those air pod features while still being an objectively bad headphone.
I know I’m off topic but one of the main reasons I want to switch is that Apple is slowly dropping Beats, which used to be their main over ear headphone. Beats themselves haven’t been updated in 10 years and I’m kind of bored with both. And I can’t even begin to describe how much worse the Air Max is compared to AirPods and beats. Kinda ready for new phone and a new headphone. I’m also approaching 30 (27), social media is quickly becoming less of a thing. It’s hard to describe but I don’t even go into social media these days
i’ve been saving for air maxs are they not worth the price like sound wise or something else ! def want good headphones and don’t want to drop 600+ for something average
totally my dream phone!! I used my airpods with my xiaomi phone and i'm able to use spatial audio and transparency etc, sad to hear that those dont work with the zflip, oh well! I think I'll definitely go for an iphone first, then maybe get it as a secondary one for funsies when my budget allows

GREAT Review.. I have same phone coming from iPhone ...love the portability of it!! BEWARE though... I dropped my phone from shoulder height on concrete floor .... landed at a strange angle on back hinge.. not good ..lol good thing i took extra insurance and brand new phone was 129$ awesome

Did you upgrade the flip 5? Also, my phone automatically sends a link for videos to iPhone people to look from google photos. Otherwise, i quickshare. Problem solved. I had the flip 4 just got it in June couldn't resist the trade in deals so upgraded to the 5 no issues. 😊
I charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max twice a day but when I don’t use it for any apps or games it last me all day and charge it until very late at night or even sometimes the next day in the morning.

i do have the Z flip 4 not have a problem yet with mine butt you never know. when you do open the phone i know it hard to open butt that is a good thing. i had my phone for two weeks so it is still new. you can use any ear buds matter of fact you can pair two sets at the same time..

Hi! What do you think of the new Z Flip 5 getting rid of all color panel on the front? As a Flip4 owner myslef, I kind of upset that upgrading would mean to leave behind all cute and usefull accesories for my Z Flip4 phone including the wristlets. The Z Flip5 new cover screen is all black which makes it as boring as an iphone when laying face up on the table. Kind of bumped about the news but the insane trade-in value makes it tempting to send the Z Flip 4 back even though it makes me sad. What are your impressions? Will you upgrade?
I wasnt going to upgrade till i found out about the insane trade-in deal which i just couldn't pass up so i preordered the flip 5. i wish there were more exciting new features or vibrant colors. personally, im excited about the cover screen because a bigger front display is more beneficial for my day to day use of this as a secondary phone. i definitely will miss my flip 4's cute cases and it's a bummer that this years pre-order didnt give you a free one. I was wayy more excited to get the flip 4 though, i literally counted down the days till it came out for preorder 😅

I had sold my iPhone 11 pro max and got the flip4 a few months ago, which I like the split screens and the widgets with I can watch Netflix. The speakersare good but the battery life could be better. But I didn't know the video quality would be terrible come from iPhone to android. Or when ipbone users try to send me multiple pictures at once, I get none they have to send them 1 by 1. My family and friends are iPhone users 🫠 even the duo video chat with iPhone users is bad. But I do love my flip 4, just trying to use it with iPhone users is a pain. So I got the iPhone 13 mIni and kept the flip 4

Personally love my flip 4 and bought all the bells and whistles for it. Literally... but I will neeeeever buy another apple iphone device. Especially since I can get into the nitty gritty details of my phone without having to jailbreak it and run all the 3rd party apps I want

I actually switched to Samsung flip recently and I was forever iPhone user, and I will not go back to iPhone. Honestly, the phone will give you so much option, you can also minimize app, which makes you not to be on your phone all the time. One thing with iPhone is that it's easy to use and you are on your phone for unnecessary hrs. Also, so many great productivity app for Samsung that iPhone does not have it. I probably will keep my apple computer, however iPhone must come up with something good that convince me to go back

Being a guy who has iphones, zflip 4, and s22 ultra your comparing Samsungs mid tier (that isn't optimized for social media, nor has the best cameras) to iphone, Samsungs (S) series phones are optimized for social media and have better cameras than iphones fyi. The reducing video part is because Apple doesn't want to shake hands with other companies. If you look it up, Google tried making a deal where Google message can shake hands with imessage to fix that video, multiple pic issue and apple said no.. so yea for now your "real" ones if they have iphones will download whatsap and send a video for you or on IG. Just quick tip get s22 ultra or s22+ if you want social medial optimization, Samsung teamed up with snapchat, ig, Facebook, Google, etc and got personalized optimation for those phones as of now with more features than my iPhone can do like zooming in 30-50x on snapchat and IG. Pretty useful. Have happy holidays take care
I also forgot. Samsung has a bypass to the iPhone sending reduction. Use quick share. I do that for group chats and when I send videos to iphone users as an alternative. Feels nice to have the options because my family is a mix of users and I love to communicate with them all. Partly why I have iphone and Samsung but end up grabbing my Samsung 95% time
yeah i get the whole optimization thing but for the video i still have to make the comparison between the flip and iphone since that’s my specific topic
the only reason the camera lacks a bit is because they couldn't add their normal high quality camera, it didn't fit with the folding mechanism. All the other Samsung flagships have amazing camera quality. & I really don't understand the whole "green sms messages and choppy videos/photos" between Samsung and iPhone users. That isn't something that Samsung does...iPhone does that purposely to frustrate android users into buying iPhones lmaoooo
I honestly feel like the reason they don’t optimize their phones for AirPods is because they want you to use their products. Why spend more money trying to optimize your phone to another competitor’s products. I just bought my z flip 4 and it’s on its way I am so excited!!
I’m switching from the iPhone 11, to the Flip 4 tomorrow. I’m just incredibly over Apple and how generic their new releases are being, all their “new” ones are simply the exact same phone with maybe a better camera & different colours. Literally same crap different skin.
And getting the Galaxy watch as well though I didn’t mind the Apple Watch 8.
At least AirPods will still connect, but I’ll likely switch those out at some point too because they’re starting to annoy me as well.
Maybe when Apple finally release a iPhone flip they will win me back. But atm I need a pocket friendly phone.. I don’t want my phone falling into god only knows what kind of bodily fluid (student RN, about to graduate, and my work’s scrubs pockets are just not big enough 😂)

I use my Airpods 2 Pro with ease on my Z Flip 4.
Ppl who say iPhone is more optimized for social media are slow n yes should stick to iPhone cuz once again it's as easy as going into the camera settings and changing them accordingly. Yes unfortunately us android users need to do this because social is default iPhone cameras settings cuz all iPhones are the same but not all androids are. My s22 takes just as good Instagram videos as my friends iPhone. I don't use tick tock but if you do as an android/Galaxy user just switch your camera settings to fully manual, switch from 8k to 4k (uhd) at 24-30 fps. Instagram doesn't even support 4k so gotta switch to 1080p (fhd) at 30 or more fps. iPhone it's usually automatic cuz for developers it's easier to make iPhone the default social camera settings, might have to tweek a few small things depending on the app...but just for now, apple is soon finna get left behind. They just now switch over to USBC and adopting rcs chat for better cross defise communication lol. I just want to be able to send quality media like I can to all my other non iphone friends n family. Keep them silly blue bubbles n iPhone games in y'all ecosystem lol. As an ex apple fan boys myself. But if you don't know any better you just don't know. Do better apple. Same iphone every year just different number.

I really want this phone I have the iphone 13 mini and I am sick of iphone But I hope that I can get used to the samsung I used to have Samsung for such a long time I switch to iphone when the iphone 5 came out and after that I bought the 8 and after the 8 the 13 mini But I just don't like this phone anymore so the samsung z flip 4 has been in my cart for such a long time and plus the phone is only 700 euro's now so it makes me want to switch right now But I am still considering

Exactly the same as you except no iphone 13. Traded my iPhone 8 for flip4 and got $200. If you decide to trade your 13 you’ll get a lot more $ towards your phone. I’m really enjoying the differences & customization.

5:15 No, It's because Apple won't sign up to RCS, the modern industry standard for messaging although hey, they finally got on board with USB-C, even though it's been around since 2014. Apple...Innovative...amarite? 5:44 Again, tell Apple to sign up to RCS like everyone else has, Apple users won't have that issue anymore. That's why the Apple ecosystem is referred to as the "walled garden", everything looks beautiful inside but you can't interact with the outside world.
What alot of people don't realize about Android is that the system learns based off of user habbits after it learns the capabilities are amazing! IPhone is honestly a scam, ive had IPhone for so long and i will never go back to it. Android is way better!
At the battery life area, it just shows she doesn't enjoy grass. Any phone lasts me 1 day at least even if the battery is bad.
Also android looked the same since 6 years ago so dont compare the iphone 8 vs 14 the homescreen looking the same lol samsung and google is essentially android kitkat in 2023 with a skin lol where any ather company is not your high lol
there are sooo many brands of android phones and they most definitely do not all look alike in the same way that all iphones are the same thing in slightly different casing lol

wanted to switch completely soooo bad but i always ended up going back to my iphone 🥲 im just an iphone person but i do give credit to samsung bc it’s such a nice phone
That is true about sending video to iPhones but it is also true when you send iPhone to Android. It goes both ways. They are just not compatible.
