A big problem with this is Hatter's height. The lady interviewing Boomerang in the vision looks to be a bit taller than him, and he aims at her head. The boomerang would have flown right over Tech, it wouldn't even be low enough to knock his hat off.

Sorry, but this really does feel like one of those tie-in comics only made to explain why certain incredibly interesting characters aren't on the squad. Like I'm still very curious why the only Deathstroke we get is from one of the alternate universes, when he's been the one teased with the Squad's establishment. Literally was already canonically playable, and one of the biggest assets Waller could have.
We dont play as deathstroke because that would actually be fun and this game just tries to be the worst

Captain Boomerang is killed by the real Deadshot in the same Arkham Knight comics, yet he's alive and well here. Bane even dies in the Arkham Knight comics, yet he's stated to be alive in the actual game.

And Zsasz was also killed in the first issue of kill the Arkham Asylum and Great White Shark in the second issue but he’s one of the lesser known villains.

Deadshot is a flying sniper;
King Shark is a Tank with cleavers and a minigun;
Captain Boomerang is a speedster that teleports by trowing a boomerang and following it.He can also trow them as attacks+ has a shotgun;
Harley is an acrobat using pistols and likes to bash aliens up close;
Seems pretty unique gameplay wise

I don’t consider comic tie-ins to games canon because of how off base they can go. I do except that similar events may have happened under different circumstances and outcomes. But if direct tie-ins are advertising a game, I will make exceptions. For example, Sonic the Hedgehog prequel comics.

Because ever since Endgame, we were introduced with the idea of Multiverse storyline, and though it can be great; it can also be bad.
It is so bad that nowadays, writers can just k*lled off any characters in an already established universe then slap the *multiverse* into it. Even then, sometimes they k*lled off the characters only for 'shock' effect because they wanted to be 'different' and 'edgy' and 'unpredictable'. It's crazy stupid and lazy.

Marvel and DC were killing comics way before Disneys MCU. DC was running the label into the ground with its hundreds of event comics and multiple restarts. While Marvel seemed to be hiring writers who hate comics for years creating characters like Snowflake and Safespace.

The Justice League game would end up feeling to much like Marvel's Avengers game.Flash is hard to do because of his speed(I think the fact that Captain Boomerang has speedster powers in the game is them testing what kind of speed would work better for the Flash). Superman wouldn't really work outside of a Telltale game because of his imense strength and invulnerability.The Suicide Squad was teased since Arkham origins with Waller showing up at the end.Sefton Hill also liked Suicide Squad.Also you can't say "literally NOBODY asked" for a Suicide Squad game,since I exist and I wanted one for a while now.

@@Kpengie Arkham Knight is a love letter to all the previous games, and it doesn’t counteract anything from previous games other than Bruce looking different each game and Gordon having a different voice actor each game, the only thing that’s been hard retconned since city are the asylum bios since at the time rocksteady didn’t know if WB would greenlight a sequel to the stand alone game.

To be honest Waller recruiting just 4 people when plenty of those Villains could have escaped doesn't make sense. Like why turn up to Metropolis with a squad of misfits when you could turn up to Metropolis with an army of the criminally insane all under your control. And if you need to you can still eliminate like 90% of them.
Holy hell they made Amanda Waller so unbelievably stupid in SSKTJL.
She talks about recruiting variety of powers but ends up recruiting dumbasses with guns and a shark. She has no reason to kill any of the other Arkham criminals because all of them are disposable and somewhat useful. By reducing her pool of assets she is hindering what the SUICIDE Squad is supposed to be by the squad being only composed of the """top players""" and leaving her with less shit to throw at the wall with the hopes of sticking in a world ending situation.
Yeah, I really don't get this version of Waller. Every other version of Waller, hell even the real Arkhamverse Waller - the one from the animated movie and the DS game - would never through away assets just because they weren't useful for that particular mission. She'd keep them on standby for later missions, or in case the first team failed. Yet this Amanda Waller is just playing Squid Games to put together the least diverse and smallest team she possibly could to handle the fucking Justice League and an alien invasion.
Like, I thought the writing for Waller in the first live action movie was bad, but she at least tried to make her team more diverse, even if they still weren't fit for the mission she gave them.

I've never considered the comics to be canon to the games or at least the Arkham related ones, I say this because there's a lack of consistency between them. For example in the comic that tied into Arkham Knight, Bane is killed off but in Arkham Knight there's a riddle that says he went back to Santa Prisca to stop the production of Venom there. Also there are characters that appear in the comics and seem like they are going to appear in the games at some point but never do.

For me its kinda hard to say SSKTJ is in the arkham verse when most of the characters dont look or sound like they have before besides batman and harley and even thats pushing it also the main people who worked on the classic arkham games have all left the studio years ago so really this game whole life is pretty much just a fanfic for a modern audiance thats all now

I mean these are probably not canon in the serious sense, regardless of what they say. The Arkham Knight prequel comics were advertised as canon at first and then quickly decanonized as soon as the game came out anyway, the Arkham franchise has a history of ignoring its tie ins.

I like to think SSKTJL is a separate universe similar to the Arkham universe like how Injustice has similarities to Arkham but its a totally different universe because not just does the game crap on the Arkham universe but it just full on doesn't make sense story wise. I think there's 4 Arkham universes The Games, Injustice, The games and the comics/Animated movie, And SSKTJL are all different universes for multiple reasons because each one has some parts canon and some parts get retconned in other media

The "Arkhamverse" comics and such have never been canon thankfully. If they were, Captain Boomerang and King Shark would be dead anyway. Only the games are canon.

True, seeing this characters try to get out of Arkham sounds like a better tutorial than the one in game

@@lolbitandftfoxysayhello6262 eh, with the way the game is set up playing as them long term would be a waste. But a short 1 mission or even them just being a NPC would be fine, I've been saying we need more villians to join the support squad and die, no one's died in the SUCIDE SQUAD lmao
@@MobiusTrigger7 imagine this in the tutorial you play as a different squad whit members that have similar abilities to the main squad, at the end of the tutorial the tutorial squad gets kill by green lantern or Batman
Ill take that Condoment King, Crazy Quilt, Hypnotic and Spellbinder exists in the Arkhamverse as canon even though they already made a coment about Crazy Quilt in I think Arlham City via random Thugs talking but im not going to take the events in the comic as canon.
You know I was so happy for Gotham knights and Suicide squad but now I am left with a empty feeling. In my time since 09 and 11 I have probably put over 2k hours each in to asylum and city. I have played knight about 1300 hours and origins about 900 hours. I just can’t accept or play either of these new games. The slap to the face is too hard to take this time
