Honestly the Deadshot thing might be another stupid excuse to use the multiverse.
Yeah, most likely. Honestly I wouldn't have an issue with the multiverse involvement if it was a game focused on the Justice League instead of the Suicide Squad. At least it makes sense considering that the Justice League has stories involving the Multiverse like Crisis on Two Earth.
They could’ve explained it as a whole “mantle” thing. Maybe one passes on the title to a protege.
The multiverse was a cool concept 5 years ago, because the only superhero media using it was "The Flash/Arrowverse".
Then, the MCU started using it. DC started using it more and more. Even Indie movies like "Everything Everywhere All At Once" started using it.
It's played out now
It is multiverse. There’s a tape in the game where Lawton is asking Lex about the origins of his Arkham city counterpart. Lex (earth-2) dismissed him, but at the end of the tape it’s implied that Lex knows the backstory about both deadshots.
The current DC comics are all multiverse, DC comics has been multiverse for the longest time? Y’all just don’t read comics lmfao 😭
Brainiac never even contacted them for peaceful negotiations. He showed up in his big ass skull and parked that thing in Metropolis airspace. Superman decides, “They could be friendly. Let’s all go on his ship with no plan, it’ll be great. Don’t be xenophobic.” and it turns out to be an ambush. Who could’ve predicted that?…

This entire scenario with the league agreeing to speak with the big evil alien guy just seems extremely forced and as if the writers didn't know how to logically make the entire team get brainwashed at once
It makes the League look extremely dumb not only because they agreed to meet with him, but also because (from what we can learn from the audio logs and certain easter eggs scattered across the map) they have already dealt with alien invaders before in this universe.
The writing in this game its just... its just pain
And not to mention John a green lantern a literal space cop and has dealt with multiple aliens would have at least heard something slightly about brainiac somewhere in the universe

The way they handled Deadshot is so lazy. If they wanted a black guy so bad they should’ve added Bloodsport

I would have replaced Deathshot with Slade as the character Slade was already part of the Suicide Squad at one point
Oracle is still alive, after a Hack mission Batman mentions that soon “this hacker” will soon be captured and turned and also mentions Oracle will join them soon too
Also, I think Tim is still alive, I always go with “If there’s no body, they may still be alive”

exactly i never believed that Tim died because all we see is Robins mask and King Shark saying “Robin was here, looks like he did not win.” or something along those lines but they never say he died. I took it as him and batman got into a fight and robin got injured and bled somehow got his mask off and either fled or something. They would’ve shown a body or something since they don’t mind showing dead bodies later on
To be honest, Jason’s probably future DLC, he’s got guns, and will probably dislike the Squad for either

You can actually find red hood’s helmet on display next to trophies from Batman’s rogues gallery. I don’t know if this implies he is dead or not, but it is worth noting
He mentioned that the others needed to find Jason so no he likely just fought him and took the helmet as a prize but Jason is out there
the helmet he throws in Arkham Knight is different from the one he uses at the end of the game IIRC
I think the new Deadshot is actually from another universe. Lex and everyone else is confused by the new one not the old. Which means the new one is the odd man out.
Interesting honestly id rather a tale of two deadshots and see how that story played out
Only problem with that is that the old one was much more public and widely known, so the public perception is that he's white. It'd be like if a white Will Smith showed up, you'd think the black one is the original because you've seen more of him
In the seventh audio tape Luthor starts poking holes into the earth 2 deadshot theory such as the white one appearing before luthor develops the dimension technology so the new one is probably from another earth
I mean one of Deadshots most common voice lines is “this is not my reality” normally when you miss a shot. Coincidence?

Some of the Riddler’s audio logs bring up how she moved out of Gotham, and you can see some postcards in Batman’s signed with a kiss and with the initials “SK”. Implying that Batman and Catwoman may have restarted their relationship. (it’s also eluded that Riddler knows where Catwoman is, so she might not be safe.)

I have to add, that the postcards are taken straight from Arkham VR which takes place before Arkham Knight. It has the exact same globe and newspapers and postcards, and it's most likely he just moved it from the Manor to his vault. Basically they're pre-Arkham Knight, but yes, Selina is alive.
You missed a dialogue about Oracle.
There’s a line that evil Batman says something along the lines of Hack being a powerful tech asset
“We will need to assimilate her AND oracle.”
Implying that Oracle is still alive

Like I get not liking the game and what they did to Batman, but he chose to do this role, he read the script, he was ok with it and the way it played out. We the fans may not like it, but he did so it is not disrespectful to him or his legacy.
I hope Tim is actually still alive. They can’t do the third Robin like this. Hopefully after this he comes back alive with scars and as Red Robin like in the comics and Damian, being born before Arkham City becomes Robin in a future game. I would love to see Stuart Allen reprise his role as Damian for the ArkhamVerse. To me he is Damian Wayne.

Truthfully, I say that Deadshot from this game should have been the one stated to be from another Universe. Have him think that he is in his original Universe until some point in the game and have him deal with the revelation.
I can see it being a plot twist where he found out that he was the Deadshot from a different universe.

Short answer: The writers of this game literally have no idea of Arkham story and just b*llshit their way out
Main issue with the plot is batman not having a contigency plan. Altough the league would have followed Superman's plan I don't see him coming to brainiac's ship unprepared.
Batman can’t make a contingency plan towards an unknown enemy he only does it to people he knows about

I mean, there are characters that have abilities similar in essence, so it’s not something that far stretched or unknown, magic exists, multiple villains have abilities that include altering a person’s mind or perception, and the league in lore in the game has already dealt with alien races contacting and trying to invade earth. He’s Batman, I doubt he’d go „Ah, yes, an alien ship of someone we have no idea of just landed and Supe says we should try to all go there together to do some talking. I should definitely come without thinking of any kind of plan in case it turns out surprisingly that the visitors who just parked in front of metropolis are evil actually. Let’s go“. That’s anti-Batman-y.

Rocksteady DOES need to elaborate on where other heroes are AND in a way that’s consistent with their characters.
I can confirm this Dialogue with Harley and Catwoman.
There is also one from the Calls with Riddler where Deadshot asks Riddler how he got out of Arkham.
Riddler tells them how he got out due...some bribary which helped him to get out for the "missunderstanding" with Catwoman.
He also said that she took all of his money and moved away from Gotham.
He also knows where she is but gets cut off by Harley.
Jason and Bruce’s falling out is understandable though, considering the suffering Jason went through and becoming the Arkham Knight and their whole fight and even though Jason saves Bruce in the end of AK, i guess their clashing ideologies and yknow, Jason still holding a grudge against Bruce for not saving him when he was Robin would lead him to branch off from the Batfamily
Riddler makes a comment abt catwoman saying something abt her new address and harley stops him saying "Don't doxx my girl Selina like that"
In Wayne’s vault there’s letters for Bruce sing by someone known as SK (Selina Kyle/catwoman)
One of Batmans voice lines whenever exploring the city mentions how oracle would make a valuable addition to Brainiacs forces. And batman has post cards from Catwoman
17:14 I remember Riddler mentions catwoman (she stole his money) and harley cuts him off when he is about to tell the squad her location.
I think a game about batman fighting the justice league would've been cool. Especially after hearing the voice logs. Imagine after finding out that the Justice league can't be saved he has to break his "no kill" rule for the greater good for humanity. Or he would have to work with the suicide squad too. Or we play as the suicide squad and work with batman.

Riddler mentions her in a Present tense in the audio logs, when talking to the Squad. He mentions when Catwoman took revenge on him after Arkham Knight, and used the money to move out of Gotham. Here's the interesting part;
He states that he found her adress, and is about to reveal it, when Harley gets angry and interrupts him, telling him not to doxx her.
Since he's speaking in present tense about her, we can assume she's still out there.
Catwoman is still alive, she’s just retired from her days as Catwoman. She stole the Riddler’s fortune from him after the events of Arkham Knight in Catwoman’s Revenge DLC. Riddler in SS managed to track down Catwoman and he wanted to get revenge on her and he tried to hire Harley Quinn to help him but Harley wasn’t going to help Riddler because Catwoman and Harley Quinn are friends and Harley wasn’t going to let anything happen to her friends.
Re: the Bat Family I would assume Nightwing was busy in Bludhaven, Catwoman probably went somewhere having stolen Riddler's money in AK, and also I wonder what happened to Azrael? You could say he was in the family too. Oracle? No idea maybe helping her dad since he became mayor perhaps?
Red Hood could capture evil batman since this Batman wasn't even on the Arkham level.
What was the cannon ending of heir to the cowl though? Did Azrael try to kill Batman and get locked up at the GCPD, or did he leave on good terms with Batman and go after the order?

As a Superman fan, I'd have no doubt he'd try peace talks but in a much safer way. Send a message to move the talk to a field away from civilians. Get other heroes aware of the situation, just in case. IF Supergirl exists, talk to her about Brainiac.

When you're running around , batman speaks to brainiac and says that he's going to go after oracle soon
16:30 Batman references Oracle through in game commentary, saying something along the lines of how the Resistance has a powerful hacker on their side, and that they should be integrated, and later down the line they would do the same to Oracle.
There is a line where evil Batman says he plans on going after Oracle but never did because he is stopped by the suicide squad first

I just love trying to figure out the timeline black deadshot causes now, because the white deadshot from origins and city literally had a military background and was in multiple databases, yet is somehow the one from a different earth. If black deadshot was from this earth, then why is the white deadshot in multiple databases for years now
In a riddler audio tape, riddler states that catwoman took his money (from her arkham knight dlc) and booked town.
Well maybe Nightwing is alive or dead we see his escrima sticks on display when we go collect the traversal for the squad at the hall of justice soo either
1. The escrima sticks are there to honor him maybe he died or something before ssktjl
2. He retired from being Nightwing and just gave it to the league to have something to remember him by
3. They could just be a fake one or a prototype and Nightwing still has the real ones
He was known for leaving his nightwing role so he may retrieve his old role and return to end things, but I don't know if it would work.
Well in the Nightwing DLC in AK when cash tried to offer Nightwing a new light symbol on the roof of the GCPD, he says “Thanks but this isn’t permanent” so I think he may have retired some time after Knight.

What really bugs me is that we’ve seen Arkham City Deadshot interact with his daughter Zoe in Assault on Arkham which is also canon to the Arkhamverse

On the mission where you enter batmans bank vault, theres a table that has a bunch of post cards that are marked from "SK" with lips on it, and a globe next to it with a newspaper clipping (i forgot the headline but im assuming it was about a heist) so i'm pretty sure she went on the run before the events of this game, and he was looking for her
Actually about the catwoman part, when you go into the hidden bunker in the Wayne financial bank, you can find post cards from Salina and locations on a globe with little cutouts of news papers saying diamond heist in Cairo and other places.
I think dick and jason would have been able to keep their distance and maybe even save oracle
In regards to other characters, I most want to know where the rest of the Green Lantern corps is during the game. They could have been a MASSIVE help
I believe evil batman talks about trying to find Oracle to assimilate her to Brainiac's army. I watched the Batman Arkham Videos gameplay and am almost certain in one of the first episodes Batman says that, so Barbara is most likely still alive.
You can find one of jason’s redhood masks in a display in the bat cave before you start the hologram cutscene

In one of radiocomms Batman says that Oracle would be a great asset for Braniac’s army, so yes, apparently she is alive at the moment
I don't think the bridges with Jason are burned, just strained. Before you go after Batman Boomerang tries to say none of the bat family are scary and mentions Jason. That means he's at least publicly associated with them, maybe working with them on occasion and barely keeping contact

it's a shame that all the good story stuff is reduced to audio logs and not actually in the game, there should have been playable flashback sequences where you play as the justice league
you got to remember @GothamPaladin, brainiac already fought the Justice league before so obviously he knows how to defeat them however, Brainiac hasn't fought the Suicide Squad before, that's probably why he lost, and also the justice league uses there fists and strengths, but the suicide squad uses guns
I hope that Jason shows up in a later season and throws hands, Red Hood aint the type of guy to mess around.
I like to think that the other Hero's have their hands full at this time trying to rescue Civilians and keeping them safe from this threat and trying to stay low to build a plan or something since it would take a ton of effort without Batmans plans to take down the JL
Tim has always gotten the short end of the stick in the Arkham series, hope he’s alive
I hope the leaks about the Justice league being revived is true, so that some of the damage is undone. I also think that the Arkham Justice league (if it continues) is that new members will come into the league after it’s created, like the show Justice league unlimited, because the league realizes that they are weaker than they thought. So maybe green arrow was is just against joining the league like in the jlu show

Riddler Tapes, you can unlock in the first tape. Riddler tracks Catwoman down but then. He was about to say where she was and harley came in and stoped him from saying were she is , so she's okay and Riddler does know as far as i found out i am gussing she will be a playable Character at some point 🤷♂️
The Deadshot explanation raises more questions then it does giving answers.
Alfred literally mentions the JL and Batman is already in it in City. They should’ve just made a League game like wtf
We could've had a gotham knights battle for the cowl storyline in the Arkhamverse smfh, red hood, nughtwing, azrael, Tim, Batwoman, Damian, cassandra cain and it could've been live service. It would've made so much sense for all of them to see compete whos who's fit for the mantle of the bat and the villain would've been the court of owls ofc
I'm betting that one of the future dlc characters is Jason. He uses guns so he would work in the gameplay, he'd be a gateway to expand on some more bat lore, and it'd make money.

In lukewarm defence of other heroes not showing up: It's entirely possible that Amanda Waller stonewalled any attempt to call in other heroes, because she knew she'd need someone who'd be willing to kill League members, which.. Zatanna and GA and Aquaman *probably* wouldn't be.
I will for ever pretend that the Justice League was created after Arkham City and during Arkham Khight he was in a break from the League but after all that was over he returned later on to the League thanks to Superman
Yeah it wouldn't really make sense since even in the first Arkham game it's heavily implied that the league exists with his threats of the bombs being like if I see any costumed crusaders or such I'll set them off implying that the league exists and joker is bluffing to keep the league from interfering
Something I haven't heard anyone talk about is that the Lex Luthor we have at the end of the game that people think is Brainiac is voiced by Corey Burton. Corey Burton voiced Brainiac in the Superman animated series as well as DC universe online. I'm not sure if this is just a reference or coincidence but he's doing pretty much the same voice in this game so I think it's intentional.
Barbara is still alive bc Batman mentions that Brainiac could use Hack and Orical on their side while roaming the open world. I think Tim is alive and the mask we saw was actually the start of the fear gas kicking in. I would like to think Night Wing is still at large and running the Teen Titans. I'm hoping they create an expansion that is called eneminate the Titans? But unlike the base game you can choose to kill them or spare them.
Hearing these audio logs makes me wish we would’ve got a single player Justice League game instead. One can dream 🤷🏽♂️
I think arkham deadshot is the original and i think it makes sense for ss deadshot to be from a different universe. Also arkham batman knew it was a trap after experiencing everything he went through in city and knight. Hes a expert on reading people, even without meeting them usually
I feel like batman always was a better leader for the justice league than supes, Superman and batman got a whole different thinking level

I think Red Hood fits as a playable character in the game, especially since he uses guns so it wouldn’t be out of character.
And he would have a good few pieces of tech that can traverse the map, but I sadly don't think we will see him in the game.

Man, i sure do love all of the important and extremely relevant information being reigated to audio logs that i have to stop playing the game to listen to instead of experiencing it as part of the normal gameplay loop. It sure is the best.
Oracle is still alive. In the game, evil Batman tells brainiac that he wants to know who hack is. After he says that he brings up getting oracle saying how her mind, as well as hack’s will be beneficial for brainiac
You can find postcards signed by SK in the Wayne vault. So Catwomwn is probably fine
Kate kane is also part of the batfamily, she lwft a voice message in AK
But I don’t think it’s confirmed if she’s Batwoman in this universe though, just that her character exists.
I do wonder about Azrael though

I haven't played the game but hearing the first part about how Brainiac took over the Justice League would have made a really good premise for a solo batman game still set in the Arkham universe in my eyes. Granted I'm not 100% familiar with the Arkham games but having Batman come out of hiding because Superman lead the Justice league into Brainiac's trap and have the players delve into one of Batman's greatest challenges of executing his contingency plans sounds more engaging as a solo story driven game over this live-service looter shooter. In fact this premise could be used as a way introduce the Arkham games universe to have other members of the league have their own game about them if Batman's plan is to save the members of the League instead of kill them. Idk might also not be a great game but still better in my eyes than what we got as Kevin Conroy's last contribution to Batman, a metaphorical performance of him not only saving the Justice League in game but also birthing a DC gaming genre.
It’s suggested in one of the random Batman dialogues that Oracle was integrated into brainiacs army for her technological know how. The exact quote is follows when Batman discovers the Squad have a hacker and states she will be integrated “along with Oracle in time”.

I'm glad to see more people are getting interested in lore. I really feel like this game if given a chance can really build the Arkham Universe more bigger than it was before. And from what I can tell each Justice league member that died got teleported back to braniac ship.(The Game makes you focus on the squad when it happens but if you look behind them you can see it even Batman)

I'd like a Justice League vs the Suicide Squad game where Nightwing/Batman, Supergirl/Superwoman, Donna Troy/Wonder Wonder Woman, Wally as Flash Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner or Jessica Cruz or Simon Baz) hunt down the Squad.
