True story re: online classes. I had tickets to the CU/KU basketball game when Askia Booker hit the half court game winner, but I couldn't go because I procrastinated too much on my online class and had to cram to get everything done before the deadline. Never made the same mistake again...

A commitment SHOULDN'T be contactable by another school. If a player commitments, they SHOULD have to de-commit if they want to shop around
A person who makes a commitment is the commitant. When schools or booster organizations tamper with commitants' commitments an actionable tort has occurred.
@@professormichaellemaire8801No, a commitment is not and should not be legally binding. According to the NCAA, only high school recruits can commit. These are exactly the people who should be allowed to “shop” around. These players shouldn’t be pressured and made to feel as though they have to commit before they’re actually ready. Nothing is legally binding until they sign a letter of intent. Transfers are different and considering the NCAAs definition of commit, transfer students can’t commit although the term is loosely applied to them as well. Transfers don’t become legally bound until the first day of class of what would be their first semester at their new university. Fans may not like it, but it is what it is.
Flipping all those times is ridiculous! Yes, have freedom to visit schools but don’t have to commit… need to have limits!
