- 125-year old Yoga Guru from Kashi Swami Sivananda received the Padma Shri award from President Ram Nath Kovind, for his contribution in the field of Yoga. Dedicating his life for human welfare, he has been serving leprosy-affected people at Puri for the past 50 years. Born in 1896, his healthy & long life has drawn attention of national & international organisations.

This actually explains that certain mind & body exercises, like YOGA/DHYANA/DHARANA etc keep and work a human being's molecular & cellular genetic processes always at significantly dynamic efficiency at any age. Hence a human being who practices those exercises will be hale and healthy for a long time. I've seen my share of 100 yr olds in my own family. As a geneticist/genomicist I'm actually amazed at them, especially in India. Jai Hind. Jai SANATHANA Bharat.

The oldest person ever was Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122. There was also a lady named Tuti Yusupova, who was allegedly 134 years old when she died in 2015.
How come Swami Sivananda is not listed as the world's oldest man? If he is 125 years old, should he not be in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's oldest man? Guinness should get a hold of this guy, shouldn't they?

I'm amazed that no one is questioning whether this person is actually 125 years old. Has this been proved? If so, that is a miracle. Never mind he is so brisk, etc. But given that most of this age group don't have birth certificates, I wouldn't be surprised if his age as stated is not correct.

This is documented age in his adhar card.....look BBC report 5 years ago....there are proofs....he born in Bangladesh.....he went London for his studies and there is his date of birth documented......he speaks English.....and have visited 10s of countries.....
