You could speed up your productivity by at least 20% if you get a solid bench and put a vice on it. It also is so much safer for certain scraping procedures. I love it for motors / knocking steel out of aluminum cast pieces
I think wire is the best scrap to sell. So stripping it in my opinion is well worth it. You've been dealing with big scrap for most of your time so it seems a waste to you.
@@CanadianTreasureHunter Hi the only wire I don't strip is cat wire. Any kind of communication wire. We get 5uk pounds a KG and the price is still probably going up. With flex wire if you have a kg I found 2/3 of it is waste. Even after that it's better to strip because not stripping wire u only get 1 UK pound kg.

Hi Phil-Just to give you a little info-Goldstar was the prev name of L G Appliances
Became lg in 1995 so that really was an older microwave
Thanks for the info
👍👍👍💙❤️💚💜🤗
Damn batteries. Waiting to see how much money
Hi, the trick with BX cables is to cut them in shorter pieces, like 1 foot long.
Great tip!
The plugs have two or three pieces of brass on them, I take them all off. Also, what do you take the mega tron thing out of microwaves for?
They have copper + brass & aluminium inside, But be careful the insulator might have beryllium inside, It known to cause lung cancer
@@CanadianTreasureHunter I take the Megatron I carefully cut both ends and you end up with a chunk of copper.

#14 wire takes a lot to add up but 12 gauge is worth it

Are the magnetrons good scrap value?
You can't sell them as is you have to scrap them
The Megatron have beryllium on both end with beryllium as long as you don't crush the end and cut them of you have a chunk of copper.
