  • My scrap metal and electronics drop off bin. Easy free way to get scrap.
    I've had this bin for over a year now. It's super easy and hassle free way of getting everyone's scrap brought to one location for an easy pickup.

    Cell phone Boards have great Gold Recovery. Just lot them up after you break them out of the Phones. Or recover the Gold with Acid. Another Video I watched of yours with Cutting the fingers off the boards. Take all the chips, pins, anything gold plated and put it all together and you can Get gold out of them From tiny chips to big BGA’s. Just though that might help.

    If a bin were set up here, somebody would stop by and take everything. 2 minutes later, somebody would take the bin followed by someone else who would take the signs, followed again by someone who would drop off tires and hazardous waste

    I took the scrap copper wire, made coils, other radio parts, and used the pagers and answering machines, and made crystal radios! I can get shortwave radio signals!

    wow! you get $.05 / pound for tv's? that blows my mind. They are worthless and avoided like the plague where i live. Tin metal is $.03 / pound and the e-waste that is accepted is lower than that. That bin is an excellent deal!

    • @uberism81
      @uberism81  Před 7 lety

      Thanks! I know these TV's are absolutely endless and people always say to you "It still works." If I couldn't get rid of TV's I don't think I'd be doing this bin idea. I'm almost due for an e-waste haul to the scrap yard. I'll be sure to make a video about it.

    That drop-off location is a great idea. Love the signs. I would like to get some made word for word. I know it may be asking much, but any chance of getting a clear pic of your's? I tried reading but it was blurred, or maybe it's just these old eyes...lol. Thanks for the video.

      lol I think it's my camera I'm using. I use the camera on my phone which is okay, but could be better. I'll get a better shot in one of my next videos.

    Try selling floppy disks in bulk on ebay or etsy for crafts, better than just trash

      Also, try selling some of the electronics online (Ebay) or to online (reputable) buyers. 5 cents a pound for routers and those other things is a rip off. Those boards from those usually go from $1.50-$3+ a pound in my area.

    • @uberism81
      @uberism81  Před 7 lety

      Yea the old routers have nice boards.
