I hope you guys can release more content with the thoughts about Western Europe. Also the types of job opportunities/discrimination in Europe for an Asian American.

An interesting thing about drivers stopping at crossings. This is a change in the law that was introduced quite recently. Previously, drivers' behavior at crossings was rather rude. It gives me a positive boost that Poland is able to change quickly in such key issues and not only by dying out toxic old generations. However, we are learning something there. It was similar with smoking in pubs and restaurants. It seemed that if they introduced a ban, a national uprising would break out. Nothing of the sort happened. Today, fortunately, no one can imagine how one can smoke inside. It is a bit worse with getting rid of advertisements and ugliness from the space, although in Gdańsk and several cities it was done quite efficiently.

Mazury is one of the best nature spots in Poland to visit, especially in the summer. Beautiful views, with the biggest lakes in the country. Pomorze (where I live, exactly central Pomorze, near Koszalin/Kołobrzeg/Słupsk) is an underrated region when it comes to enjoying nature. Obviously, it's not Mazury, but we don't complain about the lack of nice, relaxing forested areas and spots like the mentioned lakes or rivers. And Środkowe Pomorze, outside of places like Mielno and Kołobrzeg in the summer, is one of the least crowded tourist regions in Poland.
Polish National Parks are all pretty much unique nature viewing experiences as well. Most people talk about Tatry and Zakopane, but pretty much the whole Polish mountain range in South is fantastic to enjoy, and they tend to be less crowded than Zakopane, if you look for true peace and quiet. Polish sea beach views are incredible as well.
Riversides (Bug, Wisła, Warta, etc.) are mostly famous for being fantastic fishing sides.
Honestly, I do recommend doing a proper Polish tour around the country. Most people talk all the time about Warszawa/Kraków/Gdańsk/Zakopane, with sometimes Poznań, Toruń and Wrocław showing up in recommendations, while I think Poland has lots of other options to offer.
Also Car Etiquette - it's pretty much enforced by law. In the past, Poland had SERIOUS car accident issues (with very high mortality rates), so the Polish government decided to grant pedestrians complete protection when they walk through the road, while the drivers must stop to let them walk first through the zebras crossing, no matter the circumstances.

To clarify: USSR had an influence on Polish politics, but Poland was never a Soviet republic. Poles are not cold, they are very nice and hospitable. However, they do not smile artificially and when asked: how are they, they will answer honestly how they are doing. If it's bad, they'll tell you about it. Apart from that, I agree with your opinions and thank you for your kind words. Cześć!

Warsaw has a lot of cool nature but you won't know where to find it as a tourist. Kraków has a simple layout, most things are concentrated in the centre. Warsaw is more like an agglomeration of different districts, that differ between each other. It's huge and has a lot of spots but you gotta know where to look. So normally - the people who live in Warsaw for a long time enjoy it, because they found the cool spots. And the people who only visit for a while don't like it, because they get stuck in the center and don't even find anything nice. So if you go to Warsaw you probably want someone with local knowledge (and similar taste to yours) to show you around, if you want to get the most of it.

This is a fake, probably spread by Russian trolls. Mandatory military service in Poland is SUSPENDED, not completely canceled... and has been for decades. The latest regulations regulate organizational matters in the event of a FULL RESTORATION of compulsory military service. The government does not plan to restore compulsory military service.

My previous post was deleted - Poland does not introduce compulsory conscription - it has never been ended, only suspended. There are no plans to fully restore military conscription - only the regulations are changed in the event that conscription is fully restored. I received a mobilization card myself - my mother was terrified, but it was only a confirmation of where I should go in the event of mobilization.
