They skipped the peak of the Cold War fuck oath they are moving to fast, not to mention the bias shifts we are starting to see, their are ways to keep it balanced but they keep jumping between russia and america being unbalanced in one way or another, now i doubt we’ll see more cold war and prior aircraft or the peaks of their equipment because it doesn’t matter. And adding fix 3s without 13.7 for balancing was so fucking dumb, so now we have 12.7s without fox 3s because they can’t go down to 12.3, and a harrier with AMRAAMs at 12.3 because it’s flight performance can’t see 12.7, the game is terrible at top tier right now

I think AESA radars will really make the game interesting, because you won't really be able to notch radar guided missiles anymore, it'll force people to play high altitude and dodge missiles by draining their energy so basically actual BVR combat

you are right, su-35 is 4.5 (4++) gen fighter, but in that way we're skipping of the most powerful russian fighters which is su-30, now su-30sm or su-30m2 is 4+ fighter, lacking thrust vectoring, however the latest su-30 modification is su-30sm2, which has al-41f1s engines (su-35 engines) and su-30sm2 is capable of thrust vectoring, it can carry 12 missiles, 10 of which can be radar missiles, it can carry r-77-1, r-73 and it has Su-35 radar, which is N035 Irbis-E. Personally I would add Su-30SM2 as the 4++ gen fighter, but Gaijin is most likely going to add Su-35S instead and then introduce F-22 vs Su-57 as 5 gen fighters. I think that Su-30 will remain as 4+ in the game and they might add Su-30SM or Su-30M2

@MatAWG the current European BVR missile most nations on Nato uses, aside from the AIM-120 is the Meteor, which has a way bigger range than the AIM-120. and all three European Delta Canards (Typhoon, Rafale and Gripen) are compatible with them for quite some time now. I agee that the Gripen C will be a problem, because they at 4.5 gen fighters already, the Gripen E/F are just now being introduced into service on both on the Swedish Airforce and the Brazilian Airforce, so it wouldn't make sense for it r get so soon to the game, specially since the game barely imemented all that the Gripen C/D could do. So the only real alternative left is upgrade the Gripen C/D to the level of capabilities they actualy have in real life, because it isn't entirely implemented on the game, far from it, version of tge Gripen C with Iris T and Meteors, would be a start. Anyway I don't see the Gripen E/F as being feasible right now, despite the planes having some degree o commonality between them and the previous versions, the flight characteristics, avionics systems, electronic systems, electronic warfare systems, and many others systems are not only entirely new to the E/F version, but are 100% incompatible with the Gripen C/D, which has less than 40% commonality with the Gripen E/F. It is impossible, to upgrade the C/D to th E/F standard, the Swedish Airforce is literally paying Saab to upgrade their Gripen C/Ds, so they can have some systems compatibility with the E/F, until they end the entire switch of the versions on all squadrons, since it is impossible to convert a Gripen A/B or C/D to the E/F standard. The Gripen E/F also has some degree of low observability, both using composite materials and some degree of radar absorbent, as well as through its new Electronic Warfare Suite, that generates interference in such a way that radars both perceives a smaller RCS and also makes it more difficult for them to get and maintain a lock. gripen c is 4,5 gen, its more advanced than the eurofighter and has even beat it in many exercises. gripen c should get an upgraded radar cuz gripen E is way to advanced for the game right now and is comparable to the f35

The Gripen C is between 4 and 4.5 if any, it does have received alot of upgrades in certain areas that can be seen as 4.5 standards but there are too many other areas that does not reach up to the 4.5 standard. Dont get me wrong i love the Gripen and the C variant we have ingame is not at all representative of reality or even close unfortunate.

A lot of nations in the time thought they didn't need anymore so they just keep their stuff until they decided to improve. And the technology thats was being tested for all that time just did Kaboom to get everything new putted in. That's why we are moving fast now
I think 4+ is more so what we would get. 4.5 is more so things like that new semi stealth Korean jet that looks like the f22. The Indian tejas. The Su30SM2. Stuff like that. We should be looking at things like early F18s. F15Es first SU30. First Eurofighter. F15EX, F18E/F, Block 70/72 F16C would be 4.5 territories
Can we finally start a huge community discussion about how the Air RB could evolve and improve as a gamemode to show developers where the issues are and what's needed rather than talking about some 4.677789 gen aircraft? The game is stuck around 1940s - 1950s era planes... I'd go as far as to say that the current environment in the game mode is still unsuitable for supersonic jets, yet here we are talking about Hornets and Typhoons showing Gaijin where our focus is and what should they develop... can you finally realize that?
Honestly though, I really hope for a naval Mig 29 variant or the Mig 35 and a naval Flanker. But regarding the Fulcrum any just not an SMT like variant with the Camelback, something more modern but classic looking Fulcrum... And of course a Hornet.
F/A-18 could be the next one for USA and Sweden (Sweden via Finnish subtree) as well as potentially other countries like Britain (Australia) and Italy (Spain). Theoretically Sweden could also get an F-16 via Denmark (although I doubt it). Britain could also get Rafale via India. Just my personal thoughts and hopes as I'm a Britain/Sweden main.
Have you seen the state of German top tier air? Fuck all in the way of anything comparable to other tech trees, and CAS capability is severely lacking, not to mention the planes they do get always come 1 update after everyone else gets em. As far as Italy goes, they're still in a good spot, same for the UK, so they're not in any desperate need for the EF.
@@Azahi German top tier air is currently in the same state many minor nations have been before for example britain not having a top tier for close to a year as well. That doesnt not mean that germany should get the eurofighter (a jet made by multiple nations) before any other of the other operators it is just dumb. Germany has to suffer for a couple updates just like many other nations have when their are natural gaps in aircraft (even though you still have a usable amraam carrier) suck it up you still have one of the best tech trees in the game....
There is not much difference between 4th gen and 4.5th gen, since better avionics aren't modelled. For example F-15E can guide ARH with targeting pod without radar, but Gaijin never modeled this. In game, radar can even look behind bushes and trees, which they can't IRL.
So does the UK and France(through sub trees). That’s kind of the problem with newer jets, almost every country has the same stuff so you end up only facing the same stuff from either the US or Russia.
What Israel really needs in the IAI LAVI. I know it's not 4.5 gen but it's such a unique design. Israel has so many great original pieces of technology so how about Gaijin stops making it a pocket version of the US tree?
The short answer is F-16V, SU-30(Including J-15 variants) and F-15C 2019 version(The ones with the AIM-120D and AN/APG-63(V)3 AESA radar). Because Gaijin now have the tendency to reskin current vehicles and call it a day.
Britain can get alot of indian stuff, Su30, mig29k, HAL Tajas and Rafael. If gaijin would treat britain as a normal Nation, I See a bright future for the british tech tree

I think it would be cool to see a North Korea and Pakistani sub tree for China, so they can see aircraft other than the damn Flankers and J-10s . And Maybe Thai and SK for Japan, but rename Japan for after ww2
Please they should stop adding later than this more jets, so they focus on giving this game more realism and they can finally fix so many things that aren't working like they should and finally adding more content like missions, Coop missions, etc and more modes for helicopters, tanks, Air Force etc hopefully
Do the people complaining about not adding jets the reason being is they were losing player base and couldn’t get player base due to the grind. World War II, Cold War/Vietnam, 1980s and current should all be separate and grind options. I understand majority of us have been playing since it came out, but how many of us would pick up a game with that type of grind not many. If you want the game to grow more players. It’s pretty straightforward if you take your ego out of it.
They should just fix what’s already in the game lol. Top tier jets have complete jokes of flight models/capabilities compared to what they should have for “balance”. The su-35 have irbis-e radar with 400km max range and can detect a 3m2 target from 350km and a 0.1m2 target from 93km. It also have r-37m what have 398km max range and it can hit a closeing up 8g manouvering plane from 250-300km (how? Well its almost goes in a ballistic way) It Also have r-77-1 so imo its not pasible And the mig-35 have r-77m what have 193km max range and it can turn back its booster in the last kilometers for more energy so imo its not pasible

To add the Eurofighter they would have to add the meteor missile which is ridiculously over powered... it has a minimum range of 60miles..
People who say we are moving quickly, y'all need to understand that there's a huge gap now. A lot of nations in the time thought they didn't need anymore so they just keep their stuff until they decided to improve. And the technology thats was being tested for all that time just did Kaboom to get everything new putted in. That's why we are moving fast now
I think 4+ is more so what we would get. 4.5 is more so things like that new semi stealth Korean jet that looks like the f22. The Indian tejas. The Su30SM2. Stuff like that. We should be looking at things like early F18s. F15Es first SU30. First Eurofighter. F15EX, F18E/F, Block 70/72 F16C would be 4.5 territories
I think su-34 is gonna be more likely to match the light aircraft trend.

The game is stuck around 1940s - 1950s era planes... I'd go as far as to say that the current environment in the game mode is still unsuitable for supersonic jets, yet here we are talking about Hornets and Typhoons showing Gaijin where our focus is and what should they develop...

Honestly though, I really hope for a naval Mig 29 variant or the Mig 35 and a naval Flanker. But regarding the Fulcrum any just not an SMT like variant with the Camelback, something more modern but classic looking Fulcrum... And of course a Hornet.

F/A-18 could be the next one for USA and Sweden (Sweden via Finnish subtree) as well as potentially other countries like Britain (Australia) and Italy (Spain). Theoretically Sweden could also get an F-16 via Denmark (although I doubt it). Britain could also get Rafale via India. Just my personal thoughts and hopes as I'm a Britain/Sweden main.
The UKs got the Gripen, let them wait an update or two before giving them the EF xD

Have you seen the state of German top tier air? Fuck all in the way of anything comparable to other tech trees, and CAS capability is severely lacking, not to mention the planes they do get always come 1 update after everyone else gets em. As far as Italy goes, they're still in a good spot, same for the UK, so they're not in any desperate need for the EF.
In that case ussr should be capped then for several updates if we go by that logic

@@Azahi German top tier air is currently in the same state many minor nations have been before for example britain not having a top tier for close to a year as well. That doesnt not mean that germany should get the eurofighter (a jet made by multiple nations) before any other of the other operators it is just dumb. Germany has to suffer for a couple updates just like many other nations have when their are natural gaps in aircraft (even though you still have a usable amraam carrier) suck it up you still have one of the best tech trees in the game....
There is not much difference between 4th gen and 4.5th gen, since better avionics aren't modelled.
For example F-15E can guide ARH with targeting pod without radar, but Gaijin never modeled this.
In game, radar can even look behind bushes and trees, which they can't IRL.
Finland does have the F/A-18C when we reach that point.
So does the UK and France(through sub trees). That’s kind of the problem with newer jets, almost every country has the same stuff so you end up only facing the same stuff from either the US or Russia.

What Israel really needs in the IAI LAVI. I know it's not 4.5 gen but it's such a unique design. Israel has so many great original pieces of technology so how about Gaijin stops making it a pocket version of the US tree?

What about the su 30?
The short answer is F-16V, SU-30(Including J-15 variants) and F-15C 2019 version(The ones with the AIM-120D and AN/APG-63(V)3 AESA radar). Because Gaijin now have the tendency to reskin current vehicles and call it a day.

Questionable about the UK due to the new Mig-21 depends on whether Giajin thinks that was an important add or a half step. Rafale I see that coming as Mirage 4000 is a baby Rafale. I hope Germany is given equal respect as that's crazy expecting a "good user experience" out of an upgraded F-4.

Do the people complaining about not adding jets the reason being is they were losing player base and couldn’t get player base due to the grind. World War II, Cold War/Vietnam, 1980s and current should all be separate and grind options. I understand majority of us have been playing since it came out, but how many of us would pick up a game with that type of grind not many. If you want the game to grow more players. It’s pretty straightforward if you take your ego out of it.
They should just fix what’s already in the game lol. Top tier jets have complete jokes of flight models/capabilities compared to what they should have for “balance”.

- dont have that much air-to-ground ordnance per sortie/spawn
- in Ground RB even if its stealth, we already have SPAA that rely on electro-optic seeker
- in Air RB it'll be easy to kill with IR missiles
@@fdenrico9861 however it will still be hard to kill especially on these fox-3 meta. If new IR missles such as MICA-IR or somewhat ever comes, I think that F117 won't be too op. However, some other stealth such as F22 will be so powerful because it can lock on enemy while enemy can't, and just shoot AIM-120C and it's just done.

Belgium will never have Eurofighter since they already denied getting it after 2018 and then they moved to F35 so no they will never have eurofighter. So France have 0 option to have Eurofighter in it's tree

The su-35 have irbis-e radar with 400km max range and can detect a 3m2 target from 350km and a 0.1m2 target from 93km.
It also have r-37m what have 398km max range and it can hit a closeing up 8g manouvering plane from 250-300km (how? Well its almost goes in a ballistic way)
It Also have r-77-1 so imo its not pasible
And the mig-35 have r-77m what have 193km max range and it can turn back its booster in the last kilometers for more energy so imo its not pasible
