- The Mirage 4000 finally gives France a viable top tier in War Thunder, I never thought I would see the day. Unfortunately they also added the Su-27 and the F-15 in the same patch, but hey at least it's better than the Gripen.

In fact, the fault of the Mirage 2k only carries 4 missiles is not the French engineers' fault, but Gaijin's, the Mirage 2k has 9 hardpoints. generally for air to air missions the load of a mirage 2k was 6 missions and 3 Droptanks.
The gaijim who decided to only put 4 missiles on the plane to cause pain in France main
The extra hardpoints are for MICA, which would be blatantly overpowered and it's not even close

At last I have it, going from the F1c to this is like a divine reward.

I'm lucky enough to have top-tier US, Sweden, Russia, and soon France. Tbh, it's pretty bs how the meta sits right now. I don't think there is Russian bias as much as there is US hate. A country that has led the way in every aspect of war since WW2, for the most part, gets shafted every patch. Not every time. But usually. Pair this with a largely p2w player base and its even more fucked up.

When you buy talismans, it doesn't get efficient research of the whole tech tree, just one rank above and below the vehicle.

I definitely prefer the mirage 2000-5F over the 4000 even with the extra msgics. It is just so large! I don't find much luck with it

Id love it if you made a new Missile Tier List video its been like 11 months since the last one and it did not feature the aim9m, pythons, or the r73s. I'd find it very helpful since I also took a long break from war thunder so I have no idea where those missiles lie in terms of their power

@@perennialEthe problem with mirage 4000 is the minimum fuel is around 4 tons 😅
The top 3 IR missiles are 9M, 73 and Magic 2, IRCCM is king. Notable mention to AAM-3, the Japanese 9M mod that has a shorter guide time but can pull 10 more Gs.

To be honnest it's the best of the update to have sun in dogfight but is mid in BVR
We have two completely different experiences in thumps thing, I think I it honestly hates me
I HATE that the French tree is absolute trash till this, and the Mirage F1C didn't go on sale currently.

The Mirage 4K is very good but you should at least want 2-3 vehicles in a tech tree if you're looking to start a new one (unless you already have a bunch of TT researched)

I grinded french air with the Mirage F1, and fully unlocked it within 3 weeks. Use 3×2000lbs bombs and 2 x magic 2's
in short its a mirage 2000 with double the thrust but without double the weight :)
Double the thrust, double the missiles, marginal weight gain :)
Canards as found on Mirage 4000 are for instability.
it's also used go give a bit more lift at higher AoA thus give a bigger speed range.
