I recall from my brother's research that Viscount Sydney was close to both Pitt administrations and was considered one of several capable men whom Pitt the Younger trusted completely.

This title immediately brought Homer at the Bat to mind, even though it is the elder Pitt referenced there

It’s a disgrace you being taken off Reform’s candidate list. I’m sorry to see it’s happened. Especially with Refoms policy being Net zero immigration (essentially a soft repatriation) I hope you’ll go on to bigger and greater things. As someone’s who’s at Reform and knows quite a lot of the higher ups now it’s made me think on the direction of the party and the need for stronger leadership.

Mock at giving him port, but he did become an empire builder. Look at Churchill's habits. There's a lot of knowledge about biochemistry today, but no great men like Pitt or Churchill.

@HistoryBro Just a general observation that an increase in knowledge does not correlate to an increase in wisdom. My comment was not intended as a criticism of your work and I'm sorry that you've taken it ill.
In charity to you, I must interpret 'get a clue, Bro' as just your signature line and not meant as some sort of barbed attack against me.
Your most humble and obedient servant, Jack.

Interesting. You say Pitt the Younger's Prime Minister career ended while Napoleon's reign was beginning. Can some blame be placed at his feet? Did he back the wrong horses in France? Or was it a better result than if he hadn't been Prime Minister? Surely the machinations of the British parliament had some sort of effect on a nearby state in turmoil.

That was very interesting. Pitt always fascinated me, but i guess I didn't get off the couch and so knew nothing.
Perhaps his brain bulged with muscles, and if his IQ were tested, 160+.
