How did it feel as far as latency and responsiveness? The problem I had with the I1 was that I couldn't get it to behave like a guitar, which isn't really fair. I've been looking and wanting something like this for a while.
Was it quick? How did it respond to midi messages like bending?
Taetro use launch control, launchpad mk2 and also launchkey with a dubstep beat!
@taetro as a gyutarits struggling To work on a piano for création i Wonder how much it cost ??
@@larrylynch8113 Jammy is just the thing for you then. Its 349 USD if you pre-order it through our website or Indiegogo.
Wow! Thanks for such a comprehensive review!
“I was playing massive, kontakt, it felt so natural”
But where is the video? How accurate is it? The only thing you show is your face when you started playing the synth
Yeah this was a pretty impromptu video so I tried to cover the best I could.
Basically if you see me playing and are hearing the track, that’s all real time. Latency/accuracy wasn’t a problem
He is shilling, what do you expect
I have been waiting for this half my life yes! Look forward to see this technology continue to advance thanks for sharing
Glad we could make your dream come true! 😉
Does it work with Propellerhead Reason? Also I play left handed (left handed models, not hendrix style). is there a way to re-assign the strings so i can play as i do normally?
I check the other video that they using some drive effect, It having some background noise here, is that just bad effect or equipment?
Can it track ultra fast picking or shredding with no lag?
Great video. May I know the midi that you recorded is it in wave form of note form like midi keyboard does? How do you quantize it ? Thanks
do they have a left handed version?
This is some awesome new technology. I'm excited to see how it advances music production in the future
totally!
Super cool, Taetro! I hope they think of left-handed players, as there are still a bunch of us out there. The price is good. Jammy people-- please think of us in the future!
Hey Chris! We actually plan on issuing an update which will turn your Jammy into lefty in a snap. You'll just have to swap the strings manually -- only for the right feel -- and you're good to go.
@@JammyGuitar Good news. Tough to swap the strings manually? Can be when you do it on a right-handed guitar, because of the nut.... but that's really exciting news!
@@DopamineOverload It's totally manageable.
Very interesting! I bet there could be all sorts of cool uses for this. Would doing a bend also translate into midi??
wonder how useful this thing would be for learning guitar?
how many milliseconds is the latency of the guitarnote to midi conversion?
how many miliseconds is the latency of the guitarnote to midi conversion? would have been interesting to know, but now i saw some videos, they showed me, that its not a good midi guitar tool, it's not working properly...
Does it have similar features as the Instrument 1, such as setting up chord progressions and technique parameters?
Jammy is a more guitar-oriented instrument. We have a bunch of effects and guitar types you can switch among -- all of them onboard. You can also fiddle around in MIDI mode playing the drums with tapping. But no automated chord progressions -- you have to play yourself :)
Do you need to change strings?
Palm muting is very important to some guitar players and styles. How would midi handle that? Sidenote: if there isnt anything in the works yet, just consider this, even If Jammy had a parameter for it that that you couldnt hear it. (since synths wouldn't be programed to respond to it) , if it was at least there, one could program a synth to respond accordingly
It handles both left and right-hand muting, fast and slow.
Can you set it up left-handed?
What are the specs on Latency? Tracking String Bending? and Mono/Poly modes?
There was no latency when I played it
What are the actual advantages of Instrument one over this though, especially if you’re a non or semi guitar player? Or are there no advantages to instrument one?
Charles Telerant you can program instrument 1 to play entire chords at the press of a button or have it play chords by pressing the guitar equivalent frets. Instrument 1 is more than a guitar midi it has multiple ways to be played...violin styles, drum pad style, etc
How does it work with android?
So for power you charge it just like the instrument 1?
yes but with a USB C
looks cool, im still happy with my fishman triple play
how is it comparing to jamstick?
Same question
Nice!
is this guitar works android?
ill buy if i see someone shred on it

@@BooHeeee yup and he does 👍
i love the fact that it can disaseble but i cant figure out how would you tune the strings. is it even needed to play it?
you actually don't tune the strings. The strumming strings and fret board strings are separate and they just send out signals - not actually tuned
@@Taetro oh, thats even better :O this looks like the perfect travel guitar
What's the price?
I would love to get one but i am waiting till they get financing. a bit spendy for my budget.
This is awesome
it totally is!!
Hey you should check out the line six variax guitar
Looks pretty sweet.
Wish you had actually gone through the various instruments to see how they sounded, NOTE-by- NOTE, and what the latency (lag time) was from the time your pick hit the string/s - to the time a note was recognized and then sounded?
Also, how was it on CHORDS?
As is, without more specific information on it's limitations, and a cost/benefit ratio there's simply not enough info here.
I'm happy you're enthusiastic about it, but t we've no idea how much this is going to cost us! Or what advantages it has over simply using a MIDI keyboard.
Can it be seamless working on Kontakt?
I did it!
"SuPeR DOpE". But cool video man that thing looks sick
Jammy looking pretty dope! I like the added bag part of your description!
soooo dope!
thanks! had to freshen up the description
It looks great!
Been waiting for a decent midi guitar for years
totally.
Does it have midi out?
Yes, via USB-C or Bluetooth.
¿can you put that "guitar" in front of the camera so I can see the "real strings" ?
is it possible to bend on this controller, if you're aware?
Following to know more too.
Yes, we emulate all the main guitar technics like bending, sliding, hammer-ons, pull-offs, etc.
@@JammyGuitar what about palm mutting?
Sure! The palm muting is also available.
This looks insanely cool. I need more frets and a whammy :D
We're considering an extended neck in the future, by the way. As for the whammy, it'd be cool to have one, yeah. We'll surely be pondering this over.
Oh man 24 frets and a whammy and you have a synthaxe basically.
Just put Fishman Triple Play on a regular guitar then
@@henrikpetersson3463 I mean you can do that, but then you have to worry about batteries and setting it up. Those things are notorious for being a headache to adjust the little pickups. Plus it's some extra heavy shit and more wires. I'll take a modernized synthaxe please. I should add, even without all that, this product is still pretty cool. I'm interested.
@@koalemos1679 You'd have to worry more about the JAMMY battery as it only gives you 4 hours vs 20 on the TriplePlay. It's not heavy and it doesn't use more cables than JAMMY does. And who says that this one will have any better tracking or be more hassle free?
The holy grail for me would be if it can spit out midi notes to tablature as you play up the fretboard doing advanced fingerpicking. And make very few errors doing it polyphonically ! I have never found such a beast. One day that might happen with the way technology is advancing so fast! Maybe the Jammy company will carry that mantle, but I've never found anything that comes close to it. Not Fishman's TriplePlay, not Roland's G3, not YouRockGuitar (to my knowledge) . The OneMandBand is new but I think it is still in KickStarter stage.
Super dope
😁😁😁
2:29 seems it has massive latency, would love to hear for shredding
nah not a ton of latency, I'll have more soon!
im looking something like the moog e1
What happens if you break a string on a jammy
its a lil bit late in terms of frequency
Was there a tap mode?
Yes, there is a tapping mode.
Is there a way to switch modes on the unit(withought the need of an app)?
@@ramseymodiri2752 You simply tap -- just like you do on your usual guitar, no need switching modes or something like this.
I'm super interested to know how accurate this thing is in the midi department...The closest thing to a great midi guitar is the Instrument1 and the Late YRG Guitar, neither of them has a real guitar feel. Anything that's been done Audio to midi has been very accurate(latency issues) and has plenty of other serious flaws. I really hope this is the answer we've all been praying for.
"super dope" LOL
The future is cute af with things like Jammy I want it in my lyfe
Good luck getting new strings for it when they cut and run.
lowrez mobius cut and run?
how cynical.
Taetro I guess so. If the strings were universal I'd be all over it. But I've had 3 really bad experiences with crowdfunded products that makes me skeptical.
You can restring it much like a usual guitar. We'll be selling custom Jammy strings for $20 a set, so it won't be an issue.
Pale Waves merch!
yaassssss
Why give a detailed impression or review when you can just say "super dope" and some squeeker will want one for Christmas
Did they mention a price point? I'd love to get my hands on one of these!
The price is $399 if you pre-order your Jammy on our website or via Indiegogo.
Jammy Guitar cool! Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving!
@@Keziapurrs Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Jammy Guitar so it costs more than an actual guitar? 😂
Buddha Stalin more than low end but way less than high end guitars...way less.
yo quiero una!!!
siiiiiiiii!
oooh booi 600$ o.o I was not ready for that price u.u at least for pre ordef
It’s only $349 preorder
Oh yeah my bad :)
Say dope one more time!
nope
ok dope.
Megadouche
I agree, it could feel like a guitar, but I'm sorry, I have to say it ... this obviously is NOT a real guitar 🎸, the jammy guitar is the equivalent of a midi controller "piano" ... I don't say no good, in I really found it wonderful and very useful; and it is what I really needed since I am not a keyboard player and I was limited at the time I was looking for sounds and arrangements in a "keyboard" midi controller, I will definitely have to have it, it is just a wonderful piece for a producer who the guitar Is his main instrument.
Just buy a godin xtsa or lgxsa
I want 1!!! Should I send you my address? :-)
You may simply place your pre-order on our Indiegogo or our website!
Jammy Guitar you may simply throw your money in the trash 😂
@@whocares8735 Comments from someone with "Stalin" in their username are very important to us and the whole community, go on, please!
Jammy Guitar haha okay, put on your “jammies” and go to bed you pussies
Nice use of the word Futuristic, for a device that resembles a Casio DG 20 😂
Hmmmm.... needs more in deep review. It seems that this will just make me use a real guitar.
hope to get my hands on it again
Tested it out at Namm , I would not recommend this as viable midi guitar to anyone. Feels bad, can’t bend, tracks pull offs and hammers poorly, and at the moment doesn’t have a tap mode. This is aimed more as a portable guitar, but it feels so bad I’m not sure I could recommend this for that. Also, guitars are pretty portable. Just my humble opinion..
Side note, I’ve owned a bunch of midi guitars and pickups and this felt way worse then fish man, Instrument 1 , Axon , and even the you rock guitar.
Damn that's too bad. Thanks for letting people know. I have the triple play and it's alright I guess but I'm trying to find something better.
At the moment there’s just Fishman, and Artiphon(kinda guitar like). Really sucks there’s no good solution to this problem yer
First again
*as usual
Looks like a toy, hopefully misa will come up with something new soon.
IsoMacintosh my tribass was my favorite instrument ever!
It's got a glossy black look to it and the red rubber ball is amazing......good lord....this is a toy.
Maybe you should demonstrate more and talk less. Wasted 45 seconds of my time.
I LOVE YOU, BUT YOU TRY TOO HARD. BE YOURSELF
ur seein me brah and nothin else ✌🏻
