    I try to avoid wearing sandals because people are always stepping on my feet or getting run over by a stroller.

    One thing I learned in my CPR/First aid training is to never apply cold to the back of your neck. That is where your body's thermostat is located. If your thermostat thinks you are cooler than you are then your body won't work to cool itself down and that could become very dangerous! And babies and smaller children can get cold or hot way more fast than an adult because they are smaller. So you really need to watch them. I've also heard it helps to apply cold to the inside of your wrists. I'll have to try that and see!

    (Changed my CZcams picture) I cannot do regular hats either. I end up using the open sun hat or a visor. I had to buy 2 hats after accidentally leaving mine in the room last trip. One looked just like yours from the Grand Floridian!
    We are trying a new sunscreen method - using supplements. So far it’s worked perfectly for my mini me. Happy to share what we are doing!
    I have made a peppermint skin mist in my most desperate moments to cool down. Use a small spray bottle and iced water with one drop peppermint. Avoiding the eyes… it helps in a pinch.

    We found a $1 mint foot spray at dollar general- has a bit of tea tree oil - and it’s super refreshing- the mint mentos (small pack by breath mints) drop one in a water 💧 not a cola 😅 but it’s cooling like the mint/ hint water for MUCH less

    • @canon6356
      @canon6356 Před 2 lety

    Any advice on having to carry two pairs of shoes and two dresses in the heat? A jumbo locker needed? Also can I leave my stuff in Magic Kingdom in the locker while I park hop to another park if I’m coming back to MK later?

    • @MermaidNinaTravels

    No it's not one of the designs you have one of their Crazy Summer rainstorms it's usually a tropical storm think about what you're saying before you actually say it might have a tropical storm or a hurricane so you always have to be prepared it's called the weather I'm from Florida I should know

    • @MermaidNinaTravels
      @MermaidNinaTravels  Před 2 lety

      I was actually talking about a "normal" FL rain storm. 100% you would want to watch for a Tropical Storm or a Hurricane. Many states don't have hard, fast, rain in the middle of the day, then it clears up like it never happened...that is what I was referring too. Thanks for watching/commenting!
