I don't think it was that she was too shy, it was that Garrett didn't want a bunch of crude trolls in the comments hurting her feelings and being pigs etc. He has to censor his life a lot to keep the Karen's and creations off his back. I'm sure that gets annoying, not to mention going through all that just to have some heckling jerkoffs trying to torment the love of his life in the comments. Yeah without him they would have had to get a fab shop to do it if they wanted to be able to pull off all the other events they've been doing and doing repairs from/for while these were being built. Having In house fab gives a massive boost to production capabilities and therefore content.
