Inspired by the concept of flight, Waldorf Astoria Lusail in Doha features rises and falls, characterised by smooth, curved forms reminiscent of nautical aesthetics.
The sweeping balconies create a dynamic visual effect from every angle, lending the building a sense of constant motion. Intricately designed balustrades incorporate locally sourced stone that subtly transitions in depth as it ascends, reducing visual weight and contributing to a lighter overall appearance that accentuates the building's curves.
The elegant resort opened in January 2023 in Lusail’s Entertainment City, providing 429 chic, generously sized guest rooms, suites and residences ranging from one to three bedrooms. The hotel is undergoing expansion at the moment and is located 5 miles from Doha International Airport and 24 miles from Hamad International Airport.
The entry level showcases a raised podium base, offering an elevated arrival experience leading to a seven-meter-high lobby lounge with expansive glazed frontage overlooking the sea. Above, a stunning peacock ceiling captures attention and draws the eye upward. The resort's extensive landscape takes cues from its architectural elements, seamlessly blending with the chic, laid-back beachfront ambiance.
ESPA Life introduces the Middle East to Holistic wellness within the Waldorf Astoria, offering a luxurious haven for resetting the body's systems. With 19 treatment rooms and suites, hydro-thermal facilities, and expert care from dedicated professionals, it provides an unparalleled escape for rejuvenation. Indoor Technogym equipment is available for guests to use and exercise classes are available. Additonally, there is a Wlyd Earth wellness restaurant and a hair salon.
Serving as an extension of the interior spaces, the landscape beckons guests towards lounging areas and the private beach. Offering three beachfront swimming pools catering to adults, families, and children respectively, along with the Aloha Surf Club featuring a dedicated FlowRider surf pool, guests are invited to embrace the waves and bask in the sun.
Additional outdoor amenities include dining terraces, a spacious event lawn extending from the ballroom, beachside kiosks, and a private jetty.
