Saw them a couple weeks ago and I was blown away. I was worried that Zakks sound would come through to much but it sounded like he really respected Dimes work. Hell of a show.
His sound does come out a lot on pantera's shows, but honestly. I think it fits
@@brunomunoz467it's programmed with others stepping on the wammy pedal.
Not to take away from Zak tho, a God in his own.
@@daBEAGLE1017 yeah i know that, i remember watching Scott Ian do the Wammy on the Chile knotfest show.
But he totally has been sounding better compared to when they started the tour not gonna lie
@@brunomunoz467 it's got to be tough living up to Diamond Darrell even if he's a legend in his own right.
May God bless Zak with eternity.
They're another band I didn't get to see at Blue Ridge Rock Fest. I wanted to see BLS too and missed them too. The more I think about BRRF it upsets me. I'm one of those that if they give my refund I'd probably buy more tickets to next year's festival. In reality unexpected weather and strikes is what killed it this year. That place was a total mess and I caught bronchitis and pneumonia from being stuck out there in that cold rain like I would for any of those bands, but that wind was up to 60mph and that's what made it so scary and damaging. Like I said my refunds would be buying new tickets and camping passes. I bet they would have kicked ass though❤
They sound great, Phil still has that unmistakably rich voice, Zakk plays Dime’s parts with the respect and love that a brother would bring to such an occasion, Charlie also served up Vinnie’s signature swing behind the kit, and Rex hasn’t lost a step either. I had my doubts about this iteration but this is a nice way to pay respects to the behemoth that is Pantera.
Yup, I appreciate that Zak plays his own style without trying to imitate Dime, but he does his own take on Pantera songs tastefully and respectfully.
Zakk having one of his signature guitar design with the same color lighting design as Dimebag signature guitar is a nice tribute to Dimebag.
Well said
@@rockyvasquez25 Yes, the St. Dime Warhammer is one badass guitar! It even has Dime in one of his many classic poses on the backside of the headstock!
I saw them back in 1994, then had tickets to see Damageplan in Detroit 2 days after Dime was killed in Cleveland. I haven't seen them in this tour yet, but it's my dream to see them in this lineup & just hear the songs live again & celebrate their legacy. Vulnerable Display Of Power changed my life. When I had that cassette, I was blown away. It literally changed my life. I will be a Cowboy From Helll forever because of them. I hope to see them in Florida sometime before they stop this tour.
Zakk has my respect. Not an easy roll to fill. There is only one dimebag, but he is doing an incredible job filling that spot. Same for Charlie. Mad respect.
And Charlie's playing style is extremely unique within the Metal world. I immediately recognize his sound.
He said he wouldn't be playing like himself, but like Vinnie did, which is extremely different. He's been blowing my mind playing as Vinnie! I never would have guessed that, but the proof is evident!, 👍💯🔥🔥💪🤘🎶✌️
hes not filing a job but he honors his friend
No one had their phones out. Moshed on lawn the whole night and got concussed, 10/10 set.
I was in the lawn pit too! It was amazing!
This was recorded on a phone & we see more phones in the video 😂
BLACK TOOTH GRIN I WAS PASSIN AROUND HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS GOT A SHOT 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Idk what universe you were in…but it wasn’t this one. Because I can guarantee you there were a couple thousand phones out at any given moment.
No one what?? Are you serious?🤣
I was at this show! I’m 15 and fell in love with metal, especially Pantera. I loved seeing Phil and Rex live, and seeing Zakk and Charlie play with them was amazing. Zakk for sure did dime justice with his performance. Amazing show, wish i could’ve seen them and a lot of other bands in the 90’s
Good on you kid, you give me hope 👌👍🤘
I saw Pantera in 1994. I was in the first row of seats. The floor was seriously a bloodbath. I never witnessed anything like that ever again. Biohazard opened, and were great, but Pantera set something off in people. Yet, everyone was looking out for eachother. Best concert of my life.
I hear ya, saw them in March 1995, Type O Negative opened up, first and best concert.
I can only imagine.
I’ve met Phil. I’ve met Rex. I’ve seen Down. I saw Damageplan at a festival.
Never saw Pantera.
I saw them on Dime’s birthday in Austin. What an experience. You could hear people sniffling while we sang happy birthday. Had a 6’3 plus Viking looking dude turn around and give me a hug with tears in his eyes…
Mosh by the stage, mosh in the stands, mosh up in the lawn. Middle aged folks with their kids and grandkids. Youngsters, old timers. When they played This Love and Becoming…that may have been the loudest I’ve ever heard a crowd sing. Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
I was there! Pit passes
That has to the best review of a concert I’ve ever read, Reading you comment gave me chills of excitement, It sounds like it was a boss gig. ⚡️
It’s 2am in Liverpool England and I’m in bed, you’ve just made me get up and put “Becoming” on full blast. If the wife wakes up and gives me a slap it’ll be worth it 👋🏼😂
Thank you again my fellow metal head 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Dude..just reading this put tears in my eyes..holy fuck..Rex and Phil have come a long way and they couldn't have picked 2 better dudes to be with them in this awesome tribute to the brothers.
I didn’t even mention that they rolled a bar out with black tooth grins to take a shot for the brothers, brought out Rita to blow out the candles on a birthday cake for Dime. And brought a group of kids out to sing the chorus of Walk…one of them was a 10-year-old metal head in the making. Totally stole the attention of everyone during the song.
I was there last night too! Pure audio VIOLENCE. I was on the lawn and spent most of Lamb of God's set in the pit; with Pantera I just took it in because who knows if we'll have this opportunity again. Absolutely incredible show.
Gerrr Derrrrrrrrrr
Sucks I'm just now seeing this video.
I was there next to the "Pit" Section. So goddamn badass. The boys are holding it down for the Abbott Brothers.
Still miss you, Dime. Gone but NEVER forgotten. It's not the same without Dime and Vinnie but all the more important to keep their spirit alive and I'm glad Pantera is back doing just that. Rest in Peace Abbott brothers.
I got to go see their Graves. Sad moment. I was a senior in high school when Dime was killed. Cried all day long. A bunch of others did as well. We had to be sent home
Facts. RIP Abbott brothers.
He came to Rock, and Rocked like no other ⚡️
@@ericwright1985 Full respect to your teacher who sent you home, I’d shake him/her by the hand! Love that
You all know they’d want their music to live on. Riff Inn Peace, Abbott Bros!
Just saw the final show of the Tour tonight in Bristow Virginia! All The Bands Killed It! 🤘
I was there man! Absolutely killer 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Was really saddened to hear phil's voice sound so bad a few years ago but now I say he is back and as loud as ever.
I went to the gig in San Diego a few weeks back, and I can say that after seeing Pantera twice back in the day, he's sounding as good as he's ever sounded live. He just seems so focused on delivering a high quality vocal performance now and he looks so healthy.
It IS possible to recover the voice to an extent, and a miracle considering what Phil went through. Liam Gallagher also sounds much better than he did in the late 2000s. They may not reach their prime again, but a bit of therapy, practice, and respect to the vocal cords can do wonders.
@@thatlldo4247 Agreed.
well at least in this set he wasn’t chewing gum and singing at the same time 😂
Practice... practice. practice....
I saw them 12 times first time was on Long Island in 1993 with Prong opening up for them. My ears rang for 3 days after. best moment was Dime saying he wanted a drink and they rolled a cart of cups out on stage then started throwing shots of Jack in the crowd. Unbelievable experience.
This proves that never say never is a very true saying!!!!!! I saw them 3 times in the last month and they were great 👍
Same!
The fact that I'm not able to get to any of these amazing shows, I'm super appreciative of any and all clip and videos I get to see of them! Thank you so very much for sharing! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
Im 46 year's old and I never thought I'd see the day that this would happen it's a damm shame VINNIE and Dimebag couldn't be here but I believe they☝🏻are🙏🏻. I got chills from Phil when he was talking hes a powerful person. Yo Brian you lookin good buddy you been working out? Looking like it. Thanks for this upload brotha🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
What an honor. They sound incredible! Classy AND Classic.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Was totally at this show last night and it was Amazing ‼️‼️‼️🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️🎵
I LOVE King Parrot. Solid dudes making serious grindcore, and being hilarious all the while.
Been in front of the OG powerhouse PANTERA Pit at Dimes feet more than once which I can say were definitely the most invigorating experiences ever - on A New Level!
Same. That's why I haven't felt the need to see a live show for two decades.
💥💥We saw the best the world has ever had to offer.💥💥
🤘😢 RIP D & V Abbott
I don’t think there is any other human that is such a MF badass and so nice and good hearted at the same time. PHIL is the best ! and he is killing the vocals. He hasn’t lost it at all.
Have him sing anything of cowboys...
Saw the og lineup many times. Was lucky enough to take my 8 year old son to see them this time around. With all the love and respect in the world for Vinnie and Dime this is the tightest of ever seen these songs played.
Thank you so much for shooting this! Dude, I'm so bummed I had to miss them coming through Indy. I saw them several times in the mid to late 90's and early 2000's. I wouldn't have missed this show if I hadn't been so ill.😞 I'm a Pantera OG. 🤘🏼🤘🏼They have been my favorite metal band since I was 14 (I'm 47 now). Again, thank you. I felt like I was there.
the abbot brothers Legacy will always live on in all of the true metal fans. its it awesome to see Phil still singing and paying tribute to 2 of the most influential talented Drummer and Guitarists there ever was Dime Bag and vinni Knew you needed melody with the shred and they were not afraid to share what they knew with anyone. i hope they come to Minnesota because Ill find a way to go see them. I have always wanted to see them live My first time hearing them was Cowboys form Hell in 1990 and One of my Fave songs off that album and always will be is Crematory Gates
I love outdoor shows. I'm glad you had a great time. Thanks for taking some video. It was cool to see. You were super close to the stage.
1993, I was 15ish and saw Pantera in original form. Opening was Prong then the Original line up of Sepultura after that. It was the best concert I have seen to date. Rip to the Abbott brothers. As Phil pointed out I got my Son into Pantera.
Same, my son was there beside me- right up front, dead center.
All i can say it took me back to early 1992 when i saw Pantera back in the day..THE REST IS HISTORY...🤘
Dude I wouldn’t have thought you’d be in this as I attended this very show , all the way up front too 😂😅 there were few in gen ad pit that had battle jacket on, I musta seen you a bit & didn’t fully recognize you. As a younger generation I had great time, wasn’t expecting youngsters like me in the same pit, they even got the pit active since Lamb of God’s last song “Redneck” & I think I got my ankle twisted during Pantera’s “Strength Beyond Strength” definitely worth it, I still attended work the next day with a limp & voice low as Phil Anselmo from all the yelling lol.
Respect for Phil always wearing King Parrot tee's when on stage. It warms this Aussie's heart
I was at this show. We had about as much fun slapping the beach ball around as we did listening to LOG and Pantera. Hands down the best concert I've been to in years.
I was there man! We were in the lawn, and the audience went ape shit in my hometown of VA Beach! I'm still riding the wave of the high that I got from that show. King parrot was phenomenal and Lamb of God was incredible. When Pantera started, you could feel the love pouring out of the crowd. We were all there for the same purpose. The love of the music and the legacy. Greatest show I have ever been to.
King Parrot!!!!
Our favourite band from Melbourne Australia 🤘
Thanks for the upload, started my morning right!
12:50 best part. Saw them in indy, AWESOME show. Phil sounds as good as I have ever heard him. Saw them in 92 and twice in 94 and loved this show.
Excellent footage, I never got to see them in their prime but this is the next best thing, thanks so much for the upload!
I have a few little clips if u want to see them 😊
This is great brother, saw em in Pittsburgh. It was an epic show. It was nice to see the view from that close. Cheers bro, for the brothers!
Way killer! I saw them in Bakersfield Cal in 1998 . Line up was Morbid Angel, Scrape, Static X, Slayer & Pantera. What a line up
So nice to see you enjoying the Pantera reunion!!
I was there! I took my 15yr old son. We had a blast! Unbelievable show! My son and I are both HUGE fans!
I'm what you'd call an old school pantera fan since I was 13 years old in 1990, bought every record, went to every show that I could based almost entirely off dimebags guitar playing.. so seeing the real deal then seeing the new lineup it's apples and oranges...
Bro I can’t imagine how Dime being taken affected you. I was lucky enough to see them on the tail end of their last tour when I was fourteen. Don’t think it’s possible to be at peace with how it all went down.
Hell yea I just got home from seeing the tour in Bristow Va just a few hours ago!!! Great show!!
Ha that’s hilarious, that was me in the front throwing my arms up during King Parrot after they said they had one more song
Another great video brother! Thanks again
Saw them in Hershey. Great tribute. I saw the original many times and they are paying respect the right way.
Saw the show with KING PARROT supporting, they were wild...Pantera were amazing too, what a night.
Every live video I have watched of these guys gives me goosebumps within the first 5 seconds.
Thank you Brian for filming this it's heart warming brother GETCHA PULL 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🎊🎊🎵🎵🎶🎶
Great work Phil!!!!! Such honor omerta brother
Wow! Great seeing Zakk play his best friends songs. Wonderful tribute!
You lucky sob to be in the pit dude! Saw them in Houston T.X. at the Woodlands Pavilion. One of the greatest shows I’ve been to on my bucket list. They sounded amazing. Hopefully they tour again. Thanks for the footage & keep rocking on brotha.🤘🏼
I saw them in Indiana in July. There was so much energy in the air of this show. It was incredible to witness, I have seen Pantera at least 60 times. And would love to do this again.
Never heard a bad beat or lick from Charlie or Zakk since this whole thing kicked off. And Phil and Rex have been killing it as well!!!!!! I would definitely buy an album or singles from this lineup!!!!!!!!! CHEERS!!!!🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍😁😁
agreed they have been sounding better with every new show but I really really hope they dont record any new material. to me that would be too far with this but its none of our business what they do
Great video! I saw then i Norway this summer. It was awesome!
Great show. I was lucky enough to have seen them 3 times during the early 90's, once with Skid Row, and twice with Black Sabbath. 3 shows I will never forget.
How would you compare the new show to the old? What I’m seeing online definitely looking like it’s not living up to it when I seen them in 94 I had to drive home with my head leaning against my car window cause my neck was literally broken
@@boro1018 The show I recently saw EASILY is comparable, better at times, than what I saw in 1998 and 2000.
The Cowboys from hell tour was amazing. Type O Negative opened then Pantera with Sabbath headline. But the Pantera show was just hard-core from the first note to the last. RIP Dimebag
Thank God Phil is sober and doing such a great job on stages. He's a heavy metal treasure!
Okay I forgot how much I love these guys! Time to dust off the collection.
Never thought I’d get the chance to see Pantera so I said F it I am going to buy pit tickets. Didn’t listen to any of the audio from the prior shows so went into it completely blind to their new sound. You’re right, Pantera totally exceeded expectations. I stood about 10’ from Rex and got one of his picks at the Houston show. Still can’t believe it happened
Awesome! I was there in Alpharetta, GA too (right behind the pit in Row D). What an amazing show! They played a much more comprehensive show then when they opened for Metallica (saw them in Arlington, TX too). They added Suicide Note II (Phil's vocals were impressive!), Planet Caravan, with an encore of Slaughtered (incredible!) and Yesterday Don't Mean Sh**.
Saw them 5 times in the 90s and nothing touches that experience, but hearing these songs again live was intense. RIP Dime and Vinnie.
Yep I was there in Alpharetta Georgia right with you
They just keep getting tighter and tighter. Phil is really finding where he sounds best with his highs and in his lows.. hats off man Saw them in Camden a month ago they blew that fuckin place away! Thanks for sharing the content always great stuff, Brian!!!
Hell Yeah!! 🔥🤘🏻 Thanks for sharing this brother!!! 🍻🥃
Took my teenage son to the show in Arlington, TX. It was awesome!!! Been to this amphitheater too a few times stationed in VA. Ozzfest was great there
Amazing spot on the floor and amazing footage banger video ty
Dude I love this venue! One of the best concerts I've ever been too hand down! Killer show
Hell of a video!! 🤘🤘🤘
Did you catch Zakk and Ultimate Warrior? Charlie sounds so good!!! I love the sound of his snare and ride cymbal!!! Philip singing his ass off. Rest in Power Dimebag and Vinnie Paul!!!
I'm so glad I got to see these guys about 12 times back in the day!!
Saw them in Pittsburgh, amazing! They played revolution for the encour, Bad Ass, Thank You Very Muuuuch!
1997 LC Walker Arena Muskegon MI. Pantera, Biohazard and Neurosis. The Great Southern Trend Kill Tour. Neurosis was good. Biohazard ripped it up and blew the speakers out. Curtain closed with a silhouette of the rattlesnake skeleton. Suicide Note Pt 1 starts playing and slowly you can feel the emotion of the arena shift. Getting closer and closer to the front. It's almost time for war and you can taste it. Curtain drops and there they were ripping into suicide note part 2. Phil going completely apeshit, and the crowd is fueling it. There was a beautiful pit that night as Dime, Rex and Vinnie smashed us and gave us what we all needed for 2 hours. A release. Pantera is timeless because I was 17 that night and now, I am 43. I still get that same release listening to them. RIP Dime and Vinnie. Thank You for posting the footage.
I just saw them in Bristow, VA last night. They were awesome. When the road crew was setting up for Lamb Of God, I saw Rex Brown sneak onto the side of the stage. I was the only one who saw him, I was in the pit area. I gave him a 🤘, and he gave me one back! Rex Brown from Pantera!
I sure hope they bring this line up to Australia. Phil Anselmo has been a King Parrot fan for years now.
I was at the same show, getting to share that experience with my gf's kid was absolutely unforgettable. It was a great celebration of the music.
Zakk Wylde. The only guitarist worthy of filling in for Dimebag. 🤘🏼
💯
Kerry King ?
@@jamest.7589Kerry is amazing and one of my favorite guitarists, but Zakk and Dime were best friends. It shouldn’t be any other way.
Ure goddamn right!
I have seen Pantera back in 2001 on their last tour with Dime & Vinnie. I was still high school age at the time. They toured with Slayer & Static-X, Skrape and Morbid Angel on the Extreme Steel tour
Holy shit dude I was at that Pantera show last night my very first Pantera show and I didn't realize you were there wow Rock on dude
I was lucky enough to have seen the REAL Pantera 17 times. This is a great tribute for Dime and Vinnie 🤘🤘
Dude, that’s so cool here at the Virginia Beach amphitheater. I was there also Thursday it was just about the best concert I’ve ever seen in my life.
I'm soooooo happy to see these videos thank you sooooo much sharing man!!! I just turned 55 July 20 and unfortunately missed my chance to see them with the Abbott brothers back in the day cause I had my first baby at 23 and then my next at 26 so I was just listening to the disc's back then!!! But now in the present day unfortunately my husband is a diabetic and is recently had a toe removed in last month and unfortunately his health has taken a turn for worse his kidneys has dropped to 9% function and now needs dialysis!!!! I'm not gonna be able AGAIN to see PANTERA I wanna cry Godsmack cancelled there show here I just wanna cry!!! But this is soooooooooo sooooo so cool you shared these videos thanks for taken the time to record them your the best 🤘🤘🤘🤘✌️🖤🤘🤘🤘🤘
Heyyy I was there that night ! It was an epic show ! I loved every bit of it.
Awesome dude!
That vid was badass thank you for that.
Went to the Milwaukee show and was everything I expected, also got to meet Rita 🤘
Was there bro.great show I was a little bit behind the orchestra pit maybe 4 or 5 rows
Awesome gig. Great Content. I was also there.
my first concert was Pantera with Crowbar opening, back in the early 90’s.
I remember buying my first pantera album in 2005-2006. Been a lover and fan of there’s ever since. ❤I wish I was old enough to listen to them in the 90’s but I was a tiny child lol
Hellyeah man I wish I knew you were there I would found ya!!! LOG and Pantera killed it. I met the road crew for Pantera at the Hilton last night.
Wow great footage, here's to you guys ,dimebag and vinnie
Blue moon, nice! I remember getting that back in college in 98 and enjoying it. Just trying it out. Then buying cheap sht 😂 awesome video. I would go but money tight as always. My ignorance of younger days is giving me the finger.
I was there in Va Beach excellent show would love to see them come back again
Zakk has to be one of the top 5 guitar players of all time. He can play anything!
Except Rhoads or Dime’s stuff…
@@jjohnson6514 take a look online, there is a young girl that NAILS Dime's stuff. The same goes for OLA Englund nailing the style. Playing van halen, major 3rds, and countless other methods gets you to the level. DIME had his own method and style, the squeals, that are unique as Texas Whiskey. Now nailing down Phil Anselmo's part in the band is truly the most difficult part.
I was just in the U.S. for a few weeks and was so happy I got to see their show. It was awesome!
Where are you from? Glad you got to see a show mate
Phil looks and sounds great!
Saw them last month for the 9th time total and the first since 1998... crazy. incredible. legends.
Just saw Pantera last week amazing
Thanks man so cool a real rock metal kick ass show. for real sooocool
I saw them last night, and it blew me away.
saw king parrot in 2018 in my top 5 band!
This literally gave me chills 🥶🥶🥶🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Hell yeah my wife and I were at that show last night had a awesome time!!! 😊
Pantera has some next level power that they command. There is a different energy and atmosphere during their sets. 🤘🤘
I saw them in Los Angeles and it was a dream come true, the crowd was off though, BUT YUP 2023 PANTERA LINEUP WAS KILLER ⚡️⚡️⚡️
