Trini Fruit Cake / Trini Black Cake ( Eggless & Non Alcoholic )- Episode 2109

Bake at 350 Deg F for 1 hour and 40 mins
Important- Keep fruits in the refrigerator when soaking as it doesn't contain alcohol.
1 cup raisins
1/2 currants
1/2 cup cherries
1 cup mixed peel
1/4 dried cranberries
2 ciliment leaves
Nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup pitted prunes
1 cup putted dates
2 cups sorrel concentrate
3 cups Cranberry juice
.....
1 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup strawberry jam or apple sauce
4-5 cups fruit puree
1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cake spice
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp mixed essence or vanilla
2 tbsp Browning
2 tbsp molasses

whole cherries
Prunes
Raisins
And other fruits or nuts you like to add.

To Soak - Soaking is optional
Sorrel concentrate to soak / Grape juice/ non alcoholic wine / Cranberry juice / malta

Hi Natasha I always make my black cake eggless and alcohol free I use orange juice but I also put half top with fruits and finish it just like you because I love cherry prunes and raisins enjoy your weekend my dear to you and your family stay safe bye.
