Last weekend I lucked into a 6" length of railroad track at an antique store for $7. It needs some clean up but I have my first 'anvil'.
Your sense of humor is priceless) The instruction at the beginning and and "The World File Society" were good.
"An advanced degree in File Mongering." Best quote of the year.
I know top quality sarcasm when I hear it. Your file sarcasm spot on dude.
I also brush with files but I wipe with a wood rasp
As a medieval stuff afficionado, this looks awesome. Gotta lova dat sense of humour too !
Liking your videos, great stuff. I would've left the last "loop" on the handle a little more open and used it as a finger guard =)
I love how much personality you put in these videos and your really good at what you do if you keep makeing them ill keep watching them
Thanks for this video. Actually learned a decent bit. Thinking about scrapping my current knife project and just trying on some files.
Men brush with files. Madmen brush with AXES
Hell, you get a thumbs-up merely for your expert filing commentary!!
lol, file mongering,
lol dude you had me going with your filing knowledge.
One day I dream that I'll be able to do this! Great vid and talent.
i brush my teeth with files i wipe with files
You deserve more subs. I want to thank you for the time you put in to your vids. :) keep it up!
The guy who used to work for us (Kayne and Son) used to make knives in the same way of this. He would put a "Button" on the tip and curl it at the end to form a handle guard. I would recommend learning how to make the button, as it is a good blacksmithing technique to know (along with making a curly q)
apart from the hair-dryer this seems like a very medieval way of blacksmithing nice work, very creative and interesting that it could work using a some rocks as anvils
Wow, very impressive! I remember that I started like that too less than 2 years a go. You did a very good job mate! I've tried to do a handle like that twice but in my forge I keep burning it off. Like your channel :)
You are crazy. A perfect crazy man for our over-ruled world! :)
