  • Psychologist and professor Jordan Peterson has come to fame, or notoriety depending on your perspective, over the last year. But many of those who found him through his criticisms of political correctness are saying they have discovered one of the world's most significant thinkers - why? Rebel Wisdom investigates.
Rebel Wisdom is a new media organisation making films about the biggest subjects. For more: www.rebelwisdom.co.uk/
CORRECTION/CLARIFICATION: In the film - there is a line about Gnosticism that we now believe to be incorrect - apologies to Dr Peterson for that. There is an interesting discussion in the comments with Jonathan Pageau and others about this.

Ive watched and listened to 100s of hours of JBP's content. His "controversal thinking" has saved countless lives including my own. I went from a pathetic heroin user to finishing college and maintaining a full-time job. The fact that he is considered a "controversal thinker" is just unacceptable. This man is nothing short of brilliant.

I was living a very nihilistic and drug addicted life. The lessons I learned from listening to every single one of his videos gave me an entire new out look on life. Was of 1/9/18 I have a nine months clean off heroin/opiates. He is most definitely the biggest factor in me being able to stay clean. By telling the truth in all situations which gave me my self respect back and by picking up my responsibilities and better myself by helping friends, family and even strangers my life slowly but surely got better. Thank you Dr Jordan Peterson I don't think I could say I'm clean now have 9 months clean. I have my moments of weakness but anytime I get the urge for a potential relapse I watch particular videos of his that give me the stength overcome. More people news to hear what Dr Peterson has so to say I think he's one of the most important people in the English speaking and he can change the lives of so many as long as they're willing to listen to what he has to say. This man can change the world and I believe he's only getting started.

By this I mean acting in a way that you do not denigrate yourself. An example of this would be the CBT model of assertiveness. I have found I’m able to adapt and accrue a sense of inner authority and have therefore began to reinterpret dominance quite suitably without the degree of prejudice I once had.

This man has changed my life. The first time i felt the existence of the Logos was finding Christ. years later I left the church alone and felt there was more...and i went looking....but life is hell like Dr PETERSON says and i found out how much of a monster i am...Drugs woman money and violence.... violence in every sense of the word...all pushed forward by this rage....this endless mind-blowing rage....one day after loosing so much....a baby ...the woman i love...the house the money....just loss....i was listening to eric thomas...and saw a 11 minute video about becoming a monster.... I thought... shit i already am a monsters...and minute by minute...Dr PETERSON pieced the previous 4 years of m6 life.. my fall from grace...my inability to find meaning as a consequence of me letting go of my responsibility... He explained to my heart why i was in rage...who i was hurting and why i had stepped and trampled on the one person i never have loved .. . myself....then i broke the chains...i realized iwas toxic and had allowed others to treat me so bad that i had no respect for myself....litte by little i starting building myself up....a few years back i had money.....was financially stable....and I'm not there now....but ias much of a hole that i might ve in now......im so happy that i know now where im going and that i can control the monster......even the girl i love has noticed.. .and shes as excited as i am of the coming conquest.....and i owe it all to this man.. Dr PETERSON i truly value your life and i feel its my dutyy as a man who has received this wisdom to use it and implicate it in my life and to take responsibility for all i am and do.... I'm with you sir in youe beautiful quest... And i want to send you my love and know you will recover and come back even better than ever!!! LOVE YOU SIR.....

@@rmcguire7033 Because there are those who benefit from people's ignorance and actively work to stifle the enlightenment of mankind. Consciously and subconsciously. The idea of incarnating the Logos for instance, does not necessarily benefit the individual, at least not in a temporal instantly gratifying way. Because it addresses destiny and purpose beyond the scope of an individual lifetime.
Selfishness has trouble rectifying itself with that, and therefore avoids, condemns, and tries to undermine it in others because of the mirror it holds up. That reflection essentially charges them with the same duty, the same responsibility, and they, for varied reasons, are unfit to accept it. So they attempt to dismantle it, to rid themselves of the pressure to transcend, because in their minds, 'enlightenment,' or power, belongs to Them....
That's alot of words I used, but I'm basically saying that theres a direct real reason that it isnt more widespread- it's because understanding and transcending self is neither easy nor rewarding, often times. Its brutal in fact. It means staring suffering in the face. People dont like suffering. People dont like people who suggest doing it either.

My childhood and teen years were a mess and I did several things I am ashamed of, but having spent the last fifty years trying to self analyse myself in a real effort to understand who I am I have come a long way down the path that Jordan speaks of. It has been slow and complicated and difficult but it has bought me to the point of not considering Jordan radical at all, he just speaks the truth. Many of his ideas are ideas that I have come to and continue to explore, but he certainly speaks of them more eloquently and succinctly than I can.

Dr. Jordan Peterson is precisely what most Males need in this period of MAN HATRED, and Gynocentric Laws (that are punitive toward Men.) Not that I agree with everything he says.
I have tried to get females (the ones that are important to me) to listen and comprehend Peterson's points, but it goes right over their heads for one reason or another. These are women that I have had discussions with regarding unfair gender bias in our culture & our legal system. These women would barely acknowledged how men are Targeted, Shamed, Blamed, and even JAILED unfairly (compared to women.) Thus, at first I concluded that women (even those that claim to love me) do NOT care about the welfare of men whatsoever. Now I am starting to belief that women's "faith" is so radically based upon personal-selfishness and lower-levels of "required comprehension" (lower levels of proof if you will allow), that they can do not understand higher levels of "the abstract" (as there is no need, because they personalize everything.)
Without Men's hard work: our country and cultures will collapse. What Dr. Jordan Peterson is doing is 100 times greater than any president, or leader of the country, could do for his/her people.
Shhhhh. But don't tell Feminists, because collapse is precisely what they are working towards (most likely so that they have one more thing that they can shame blame and HATE men for.)

The women you describe are “Animus possessed” and won’t see the light until they integrate themselves. Just make sure that you are not an “Anima possessed” man on a less obvious level, hence why you’re attracted to those types of women.
For example, I’m a woman and I adore Peterson’s work. I also hold a BA in psychology and have been a Jungian my whole adult life (he’s essentially my hero), as I also went through a direct confrontation with my unconscious mind, as he also did, which lasted for years. I journaled the experience in dozens of notebooks, and my life is forever changed for the better. After letting all that wasn’t authentic to me and my life and personality burn away. During and after this process, I began painting and writing fiction again, as my creativity and sense of self flooded me in the most embodied way. I also developed my own tutoring business during this time, and I’m currently working on two novels, of which my imagination, prose, and depth of imagination has increased exponentially, all as a result of embodying the Logos. I entered the “madness” of my internal hell worlds of my emotions and incongruous thoughts and actions. Only in doing that did I finally find heaven in the form of a renewed sense of purpose and meaning. I live my life from my deep, essential Truth now.
I write all of this because those women are not in the thick of this process, as you are, and you will need to find similarly embodied women as you become a more embodied man.
By the way, I experience the same issue. Finding an embodied PERSON (doesn’t matter if they’re male or female) is quite rare, and it seems like you are outgrowing certain key people around it. I also outgrew many people, and believe me, it is very painful, and there’s no way to avoid the pain and isolation as you shed your old skin. Nevertheless, now is your time to become a more authentic YOU, and your life and the people in it will slowly begin to reflect your authenticity.
Here is a very good article about embodied women, and the kind of women you should be interacting with, at your level of personal development. The planet Pluto is represented as an archetype here:
