UPDATE: New version with 2020 updates here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
April 2020: Significant changes are happening to subscription names.
1st April:
Microsoft 365 F1 renamed to Microsoft 365 F3
New lower-tier Microsoft 365 F1 introduced
www.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/news/m365-firstline-workers
21st April:
Office 365 Business Essentials renamed to Microsoft 365 Business Basic
Office 365 Business Premium renamed to Microsoft 365 Business Standard
Microsoft 365 Business renamed to Microsoft 365 Business Premium
Office 365 Business renamed to Microsoft 365 Apps for business
Office 365 ProPlus renamed to Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
Office 365 Home renamed to Microsoft 365 Family
Office 365 Personal renamed to Microsoft 365 Personal
So its best waiting till after 21st Apr before purchasing?
The subscriptions won't really change (with the exception of F1/F3 which has already happened), so it's fine to purchase now. You'll keep the same services - they'll just change their names on 21st.

my college provides me Microsoft via login with College Email. it says Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus. Where do I fall into your video about Microsoft services. from the account page on Microsoft in Word it shows the logo of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access & Skype for Business. Should I keep on getting my Microsoft through my college or subscribing personally is better?
@@TazKidNoah this video is more about the cloud services, whereas ProPlus is the client apps (they use the same name for both, which is a tad confusing). You've probably got an A1 Plus subscription, which is in-between an E1 and E3 but with some education-specific tweaks. If your college is paying for it and it does what you need, then you may as well make the most of it while it's free!
I hate applications that force you to first make a complete study of difference between versions
I know the feeling... and then when you've finally figured it out, they go and change it!
Updated version here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Everybodys situation/circumstance is different. For myself I went O 365.
Great video. Could anybody advise for a small business with existing Win 10 Licenses and a Microsoft account what business package to go for? Microsoft or Office? The main reason for its use is to be able to work on the same shared docs between laptops and to communicate easier between staff with calendar etc Thank you
I hate the ribbon concept as a default option. I'd like the Office 2003 interface with concise menus. The new Office should have an option for the old conventional interface (with added functionality in the menus, of course) but the easiness and intuitive button layout. The ribbon makes you crazy remembering where every function is embedded and it's no good for your eyes as well!
E - Enterprise
A - Academics
F - Field Workers.
Thank you, that was very useful.
Glad it helped!
If they ever come out with one that includes msdn let me know
Interesting idea. They already bundle Microsoft 365 licences with some of the higher tier MSDN/VS subscriptions for testing purposes. Whether they consolidate it all into a single subscription for developers' production use... I guess we'll have to wait and see!
what a great video! thank you so much!
Thanks! It's a bit out of date now. There's a more up-to-date version here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Hello!
Microsoft 365 Business = Microsoft 365 Business Basic.
Howerver, this could chance the name, or adjust, after your video.
Yes, this is an old video. The updated one is here for anyone else looking, although I see you've now found it Marcius 🙂
czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Very clear! Thank you!
Thanks! This one's a bit more up-to-date, although they've changed some of the branding again: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Great explanation and illustrations. Thank you :)
Thanks! There have been a lot of changes since this video. This one is a bit more up-to-date: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
OMG, thank you!!!! 3 3
If it weren't for you, I don't know what to do, I don't want to spend money on it
ty bro, keep going!
I’m starting a managing web site where they buy service and we mange security and stuff it will finish on 9 months that’s why I’m watching everybody I met said get office if you will start a business
They've rebranded a lot of the options since I made this video, and the Office/Microsoft divide is a lot more blurred now. There's an updated video here that explains the current options: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Thank you :)
Great job! I subscribed. Can you share what software you used to create your video with the illustrations and animations? Very well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I was testing out Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects when I did this one, but I settled on Davinci Resolve instead. I'm just putting the finishing touches on an update to this video that was done in Resolve, so feel free to check that out (should be live in about 12h) and let me know how you think they compare. Adobe is ~£600/year, but the free version of Resolve does everything I need... easy choice in the end.
Pro Tech Show Thank you!
Thank you, it was really great.
Thanks! 🙂
They've rebranded a lot of the subscriptions since I made this, so not all of it holds true anymore. There's an updated video here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
Very helpful, thank you
Hi can you throw some light on the price of different licenses and what would be the suitable package for home office use of word, excel, ppt and outlook??
I have an updated video that covers the home editions, and includes a number of changes which occurred just this month. That should help you with the options, and in the description of that video I have links to the current prices for each plan. czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
You might also want to look at Office 2019 Home & Business if you prefer to pay one-off rather than on a subscription. This video covers the differences between 2019 & 365: czcams.com/video/AFRbA43l9iU/video.html
good job. you’re right about endpoint
Thanks! This video's a bit out of date now. There's a more recent one here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
soo microsoft 365 family is a good deal for 72 dollars? what does " upto 6tb" mean exactly
It's your OneDrive storage. Each person is allow to store up to 1TB. M365 family covers 6 people. In theory, if everyone maxes out their cloud storage you get 6TB in total.
@@ProTechShow would u recommend M365 family for 72$. the included apps are a bonus as i mainly want the cloud storage after the google's june 2021 policy
@@jacobjackson8619 if you've got 6 people using it that would work out at $1 per person per month for 1TB. Not going to find much better I suspect!
@@ProTechShow thanks for your immediate response. i just bought it and i can say tht all the benefits are amazing. thabks again. great video
I liked the video. Thanks to the author
I bought the Microsoft 365 family, does this mean I get 6 win 10 licenses too? Previous years I’ve used office 365 but the 10 euro extra is quite small.
No. This is an older video and they've since rebranded a lot of plans to "Microsoft 365" which don't include the extra features.
There's an updated version here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
In my organization, there are 10 staff, does this mean we get to pay $120.50 per month for microsoft 365 business standard plan?
I make it to be $125 for 10 people. There is an annual commitment so you'd be signing up for 12 months.
Hi, When my 1yr 365 expires will i still be able to use the apps without services. Having bought a laptop with 1yr subsription, do i need a new subscription for basic word, Excel etc? thanks
You'll need to renew your Office 365 subscription or buy Office 2019 instead if you wish to keep the apps. You can find a comparison between the two options here: czcams.com/video/AFRbA43l9iU/video.html
Got Microsoft 365 business basics subscription, its free for first 6 months ;-)
Thank you
Thank you for this video
Glad it was useful. MS have renamed a bunch of their plans since I made this. There's a more up-to-date video here: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
I bought monthly Office 365 Personal subscription, will I get Windows 10 on April 21st, after Office 365 rename to Microsoft 365? And will the price stay same?
Thanks
Your subscription will be renamed to Microsoft 365 Personal, but the features and price will remain the same. The current rule of "M365 = O365 + More" will no longer apply to all services after 21st April.
I'm planning to do an updated video that includes all of the changes, so if you're subscribed be sure to check that out when it lands.
Do you know if there will be Office + Win 10 package?
I'd say it's unlikely on the personal/family plans. Most consumers buy a PC with Windows on it already. The Windows 10 licences included with current M365 plans are Enterprise upgrades. You need to have Windows 10 Pro already in order to use them, and the Enterprise features are really focused at businesses.
I definitely need to get the hearing checked. I thought you said "The PROZAC Show". I hear a slight accent...Irish or Scottish?
😆 That's a different kind of show! Also closer than what the auto-generated CZcams subtitles typically come up with...
You heard correctly. It's Northern Irish, diluted by many years living in England.
@@ProTechShow Cool. Sounds good to me.
Iam having MS 365 ,but in it Excel does not have all the features what about office 365.
This is an old video. There's an updated version here which covers the current range of M/O365 services: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
You've not said what product/edition you're using, or what features you're missing; but if you're using the web apps or mobile apps rather than the full desktop client app, they will be quite limited. Any subscription in the linked video that doesn't come with the "client apps" would be very limiting unless you already have a copy of Office.
God, I'm glad I found your video that helped me
good
Great video but you are talking way too quickly for someone to grasp everything in one shot. I keep repeating the video every few seconds.
Working...))
Microsoft 365
I AM STARTING TO HAAAATE MICROSOFT
What a fun joke
Too rambly video bud

Since I made this video they have rebranded all the plans. All of the small business ones are now called "Microsoft 365" regardless of features, which doesn't help... I've made a more up-to-date video that explains the current options. Have a look at that to see if it answers your question: czcams.com/video/8Od5IqPRnbQ/video.html
There are links in the description of that video to the various plans. You can sign up for a trial to make sure it does what you need before you put down any money.
