    • @ProTechShow
      @ProTechShow  Před 4 lety +1

      The subscriptions won't really change (with the exception of F1/F3 which has already happened), so it's fine to purchase now. You'll keep the same services - they'll just change their names on 21st.

      my college provides me Microsoft via login with College Email. it says Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus. Where do I fall into your video about Microsoft services. from the account page on Microsoft in Word it shows the logo of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access & Skype for Business. Should I keep on getting my Microsoft through my college or subscribing personally is better?

    • @ProTechShow
      @ProTechShow  Před 2 lety +1

      @@TazKidNoah this video is more about the cloud services, whereas ProPlus is the client apps (they use the same name for both, which is a tad confusing). You've probably got an A1 Plus subscription, which is in-between an E1 and E3 but with some education-specific tweaks. If your college is paying for it and it does what you need, then you may as well make the most of it while it's free!

    I hate the ribbon concept as a default option. I'd like the Office 2003 interface with concise menus. The new Office should have an option for the old conventional interface (with added functionality in the menus, of course) but the easiness and intuitive button layout. The ribbon makes you crazy remembering where every function is embedded and it's no good for your eyes as well!

      Your subscription will be renamed to Microsoft 365 Personal, but the features and price will remain the same. The current rule of "M365 = O365 + More" will no longer apply to all services after 21st April.

    • @ProTechShow
      @ProTechShow  Před 4 lety +1

      I'd say it's unlikely on the personal/family plans. Most consumers buy a PC with Windows on it already. The Windows 10 licences included with current M365 plans are Enterprise upgrades. You need to have Windows 10 Pro already in order to use them, and the Enterprise features are really focused at businesses.

      You've not said what product/edition you're using, or what features you're missing; but if you're using the web apps or mobile apps rather than the full desktop client app, they will be quite limited. Any subscription in the linked video that doesn't come with the "client apps" would be very limiting unless you already have a copy of Office.
