Péter Erdős (1925-1990) was the controller of the entire official Hungarian pop music world during the communist Kádár era. He was also called as 'Pop Caesar'. He authorized the release of audio records. He represented the cultural policy of the state party in pop music, essentially playing the role of censor. His decisions were often influenced by personal sympathy or dislike. During his "reign", it was out of the question for an underground or punk band's record to be released.
@@oessevissa thank you, i never heard of him, even we were neighboors (Croatia). In Yugoslavia,we had so called "šund komisija", if they said that your music and texts are of low quallity, your records were more expensive. It happenned mostly to punk and new wave bands in the early 80s
