- Michel Lundell is a Swedish engineer and inventor who suffered his first seizure in 2004 and was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2012.
After searching for methods to avoid the side effects of his seizure medication, Michel discovered the ketogenic diet as a means for controlling his seizures.
As Michel came to understand the limitations of blood and urine ketone testing, Michel started investigating the analysis of breath ketones and went on to invent the world’s first commercially available breath ketone analyser, the 'Ketonix'.
This same thing happened for a young, close family member. She cured her own epilepsy with keto diet and has been on such for almost two years with no seizures.

Interesting about the coconut puree taking the 2nd speaker out of ketosis. A jar of creamed coconut (ingredient: organic coconut puree) lists the amount of carbs per Tablespoon at 3 grams, 1 of those as sugars. This product does NOT include the coconut water, however, which contains most of the sugar in the coconut- so if that was included in her homemade version, that would make a big difference.Dried coconut flakes, on the other hand, list only 4 grams of carbohydrate, including 1 gm of sugar per 1/4 cup, so the coconut flour, flakes and shreds often used in keto recipes (usually those trying to replicate high carb foods) may well be lower in sugars and carbs than her homemade coconut puree.- And - as she points out, not everyone responds in exactly the same way to foods. And our response to a particular food will not always be the same- depending on how much we eat, which other foods we eat it with, what time of day we eat it, how much we have been excercizing... the variables are many.~ Which is one reason this Ketonix device could be so handy!
I tested 1 Tbsp of coconut oil Suraj brand, and my acetone dropped from 54 to 32. I was surprised!?

Excellent presentation, and inspired me to purchase one (have lost 26 Kg fat over past 18 months on nutritional Ketosis) as I am sure I am suffering from "carb creep" -
Did I miss something - if you're not supposed to inhale to exhale - how on earth can you blow into a breath analyzer for 10 seconds to get a reading? what exactly is the technique? I think you said what NOT to do but not what TO do.
@@nrgltwrkr2225 That seems correct. At least this is what I do. I empty, as much as I can, my lungs. To make sure I have a more accurate idea of my state of ketosis, I take 3 to 5 readings and average. There is always disparities in the reading, somtimes up to 30+ units, but if they are in the same bracket, I consider the reading (average reading) OK.
mine reads in points not whole numbers am i that low or what i've been doing this since Feb 2016 blood levels is never over 0.2 so i got the ketonix and the numbers are way low also....so frustrating...

I am a freak... I do not have the blood glucose and breath ketone level correlation they show here.
Everybody is different. What works for some don't work for others. We need more research done for people like you.
