    wow. very good tutorial.
    I am trying to make my first funnel with wordpress + getresponse ( or kartra) and its hard for a newbie, but also very nice to see when the pieces start to fit together

    Sir John...awesome educational and training video, which has me hooked! I have Elementor, WooCommerce & Ultimate Member currently active on my site from a previous training of yours. However, for site speed, simplicity and saving money, would you now suggest Memberpress + Thrive Cart?

      Hey man thanks for the kind words! Gosh it's a tricky one and if you already have paid money to get your current tools working I wouldn't recommend changing. If you were just starting out or if you are still on the free versions... I am super impressed with this stack 😀

    hi John ! so perfect explanation of everything i am looking for last two weeks watching videos and getting confused for so many different plugins and offers . i would like to offer good quality (4k) live classes also ,could you please recomend some webinar plugin ?

    • @johncreates

      You want to stream in 4K? That's not really common and you'll need a pretty nice internet connection for that to work. Why 4K? You could pre-record it and "stream" it in 4k using several hosts... but I've never tried 4k streaming

  • @andiamolireforexcrypto

    John , do you need member press anymore since the recent Thrive Cart upgrades?

    Thanks John, gold mine of value here :) I got a question. What´s the benefit of using this software bundle instead of just thrive apprentice plus sendowl? Can you drip thrive apprentice lessons using memberpress? I also see your Susan uses teachable with her sales funnel to deliver her courses. Thanks again for your outstanding content!!!

      Hey Francisco! Thanks for the kind words! Couple of nice benefits of this set up vs SendOwl:
      1) Thrivecart allows bump offers, upsells and downsells, and in general is just a better shopping cart platform
      2) Memberpress allows you to lock down more than just courses - you can also have a member's community (forum platform) or other premium content locked that isn't visible in Apprentice
      3) Memberpress also gives you a Member's dashboard so they can see their payments and do normal account management stuff which doesn't exist in SendOwl
      4) SendOwl and Thrive forces a very weird checkout flow... requiring you to create an account on the site first, and then redirecting you to SendOwl to pay. It makes sense why they do it, but I have had people report confusion going through the process... and that's the last place you want to confuse your customers!
      That being said, you can definitely get up and running with SendOwl for cheaper, and it's still a good option.

      @@johncreates Doesn't ThriveCart do an end-run around the MemberPress payment accounting system? I'd have thought that only payments taken directly via MemberPress would show up in the MemberPress records. Would love to be corrected on this because I love both these tools, but this has kept me from using them together.

    Amazing video.
    But could you replace thrive cart with cartflows pro?

    • @johncreates
      @johncreates  Před 4 lety

      Hey there! Cartflows can definitely be used for selling products, but I haven't found a nice solution for connecting WooCommerce to Thrive Apprentice. If you already have Cartflows, you might take a look at LearnDash for the course area :) They have a nice integration

    hey john, i've been following this to the letter and it's been super smooth until I do the demo checkout. I'm correctly sent to the thank you, but I only receive the invoice email, not the login, tried in incognito and nothing still. Any thoughts?

    • @JoshBeetler
      @JoshBeetler Před 4 lety +1

      yea i'm not receiving either of the emails you did at 1:07:00

    • @johncreates
      @johncreates  Před 4 lety

      Hm that sounds like the integration between Memberpress and Thrivecart isn't correct. Do you see all your membership levels inside of Thrivecart when you connect Memberpress?

    • @JoshBeetler
      @JoshBeetler Před 4 lety

      @@johncreates they are connected but I don't see anything specific as membership levels. I had to upgrade to the mid-teri to integrate with thrivecart, they must've changed that since you made this video

      Hi John, great tutorial thank you so much. I ran into the same issue. Everything went smoothly until I tested everything and got the invoice email, but I didn't receive the "Set your new password" email. I upgraded to Memberpress Plus in order to integrate with ThriveCart. According to this article from ThriveCart support (support.thrivecart.com/help/memberpress-thrivecart-the-complete-guide/) ThriveCart will trigger the welcome email from MemberPress AND also a password reset email directly from your WordPress site. This means your customer will get their welcome email from MemberPress AND a password reset link which lets them go through and set their password. Any feedback will be appreciated?
