Want to play beautiful chord triads? This lesson is for you!
I’m going to show you an easy trick that you can use to harmonize triads together and make them sound insanely beautiful and dreamy.
It’s all about changing one note in the triads to reach more colorful notes and extensions. Very easy to apply!
I did that in my recent Ambient Guitar Song called ‘’10 Years’’ and I’m unveiling that chord triads secret in this lesson today!

Thank you !!!! Awesome lesson and it is great how you show it in the three inversions for the 3 note triad...some very mystical sounds and opens up a whole way of connecting sounds and voicings!!
I didn't know what I did on my guitar thousands of times as a teenage kid wrecked on bong hits would ever be explained 25 years later in an in depth guitar lesson😂... Yes pick through a chord and move a note... if it sounds good keep it in the memory bank then try another combo. When it gets interesting is in trying different base notes over the changed note to really state an emotion.
You where cracking the code and didn't know it 😄😄😄
I did the same thing as a kid stoned out I was doing this same thing! Just didn’t know why it sounded good!
I've found that. It's good to have the knowledge at last as to why it happens and why it sounds good, thanks to great teachers on the Tube.
Bass..good comments! Aloha
Keep smoking weed
Wow, that's such a great lesson, and the little nugget of theory just brought it all together. Thank you!
What a great lesson. Beautiful sounding cords and great explanation on why it works the way it does. Thank you for this.
Thank you for giving the understanding of how the chord is a 7th, 9th and 11th. Great lesson Antoine.
This is An incredibly important video. When you further explained that we are adding the 7, 11, 9 extensions, wow.
Antoine, great little triad lesson, merci! 👍🏽👍🏽
Nice harmonies. Interesting and/or pretty chords. Thanks.
That was very helpful to see how the E chord could be played in many fret positions. It was also helpful to play the major C scale which is essentially do, ray, me, in the higher registers. Thank you.
So simple! I can almost hear the accompanying lead guitar to The Eagles’ Peaceful Easy Feeling. Don Felder is sooo good at using these melodic triads. Thanks for the quick lesson.
Awesome stuff! Gonna use this info..! Thx!
Everytime I watch your chordal lessons, I get improved in my music journey. Thanks friend.
My pleasure!
Great stuff. You made it easy to understand. Thank you sir! Peace and Blessings!
Dude thank you. Lightbulb moment. Just helped me understand triads a lot more!
Will try it out! So beautiful !🙏🏻
Great teaching, friend. The possibilities to make on chord work all over the neck.
Excellent lesson. I've always related to the neck of my guitar in a physical sense, so I really liked your lesson. Excellent.
Mike Campbell ( Tom Petty & Heartbreakers) uses a similar Triad but starting in A on Last Dance for Mary Jane!
This is best got dam triads video I’ve seen yet. I grok it now. Thank you!
Really great transitions and method.
great video Antoine !!
Your tone! 🙌 is so goooood :) Great video my friend
I like to fool around with triads like this all the time… it’s fun and sometimes inspires a tune! Great lesson!
Right
Wonderful lesson, many thanks Antoine.
Great teacher beautiful tones
Una vez más, un simple truco que lleva a otro nivel esos acordes, eres mi ídolo Antoine.
Sir, That was a beautiful lesson. Thanks.
That is a great idea. Thanks very much. Nicely explained as well.
Great, that gives nice colours to the music...
This is a lesson that reveals the relationship between “top set” triads to their barre chords, shows how diatonic extensions can add color to those same triads, and THEN adds harmonization. Hard to believe he did it in a few mins? I took those triads with the Oolimo app and was able to map out the voicings across the neck.
Very nice trick. 👍.Thanks.
Awesome explanation !
Antoine! Thank you so much for this FREE course. It opened my ears and eyes forever!
My pleasure! I'm glad to read that :-)
I like doing this on pedal steel guitar out of one position, just by moving notes through the pedals and knee levers, one at a time. I also use a lot of delay and reverb to create ambience.
This is a gem of a melodic lesson!!! Thank you mate!!! Cheers!!!
My pleasure :-)
Terrific lesson! Thanks
Thank you Antoine, this is super-useful!
Well worth the watch! Lovely sounding chords simply and clearly explained.
Many thanks, Brad :-)
thank you i never thought of this
I'm new, working on triads, this was helpful thanks
Good lesson 😀
Always great lessons! Much appreciated!!!
My pleasure!
These progressions in the key of E are heavenly sent in terms of color and melody. This lesson has gives me creative insight on mixing and soloing melodies harmonically. This is a lesson to be remembered for all times. Thanks so much!
I dont see how it would be different to the other keys? As long as you play the same mode, the colors and melodies will be identical?
Just...thank you!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Those Explosions in the Sky sounds
Nice! I also have a full 17 min. lesson on Explosions In The Sky chords, have you seen it? It's here: czcams.com/video/HbZwlUTRhf0/video.html

Happy to help! :-)
I'm 74 and have been playing only power chords in quarter notes for 55 years, thank you for this. I can't stop crying
I love your way of thinking and teaching!
I appreciate that, thank you :-)
This is somewhat similar to what I absolutely love in the song ‘Nica Libres at Dusk’ by Ben Howard. Now I know what makes that song so beautiful. Thank you!
Great Lesson thanks
Thank you for your trick
It:s really create beautiful sound 👍🙏
Nice, thanks! A fun inversion progression to play with is Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle". Starts with cowboy chord Dm, then each 1/2 measure you drop a fret down on that middle "B" string.
VERY Cool and extremely useful. Thank you very much for posting this Antoine. Great stuff!
My pleasure :-)

When I was in High school I had piano and harmony classes but I started leaning to play by ear already so 4th 5ths 7ths where Greek to me.To much trouble to get into however I remember playing these chords not all of them.Thank you for bringing some ideas to mind.
