Glad I was part of the adventure that morning. I followed the 2 first trades with a loss... And I said to myself: Let's see how Tom would react. Interesting perspective. I've had very minor success trading by being very cautious. I'm trying to work on becoming more aggressive, reversing my position. It does take a very flexible mindset.

I read the last chapter last week or the week before. I really think this book can be life-changing for a lot of people. As a community, we got to stop trying to figure out if 20 ema is better than 21 ema ;-). And start thinking about the important stuff.
Another great video! Best loser wins = the truth and can't wait for the book. This morning I had 7 losers in a row in Gold before hitting some winners and ending the day way up. And yeah some losers were just stupid trades but cut them before they can hurt you and carry on.

I think some important chapters were added.
I find the most valuable part of Tom's live trading videos is the lack of activity. Good trading is boring. As Tom himself points out, as humans we have a need to always be doing something....and we do, even if there's nothing to do.

So true, which is why live trading like Tom's is so valuable and historical lookbacks are almost useless...It's easy to convince yourself, "I will buy here, and sell there" when you have all the information in front of you, and deep down you know there's no risk.
But trying to be 100% ready to act with limited information on a live chart...THAT's a whole different story!
Tom, absolutely amazing to watch good days and bad. I would say I learn a lot more from the bad days, as these are the one's that teach you how on should react to emotional roller coaster that we are all constantly attempting to manage in real time.... Sometimes I wish I could be a lot less human like Tom...lol....
Thank you Ian 🙏 I agree but don't underestimate the value of looking at some VERY good trades. If you only look at bad days you train your eyes to see that. Just my 5 cents.

Hi Tom, thank you for sharing all this free information. If I may ask a question, when you have 3 positions in (3 or 5 lol), why dont you keep one runner in case it does exactly as you described: keeps going for 200 pips without you. Why not closing 80% of your positions, banking in some money and letting a potential winner on the line?
In one of your trading psychology series, you said that you do not have a crystal ball so closing all your positions means you think the market is going to reverse/stall/or stop going down of some sort. So again, why not keep a runner just in case? And you could even close partials on that last position you left out and just trail?
By the way, I really admire your style of trading: high stakes, adding positions, pyramiding. It really takes "some balls" to keep adding like that. Im currently working on that

Do you ever day trade forex? Or do you think indices are better for day trading?
Tom mostly swing trade FX and Day trade indicies.
What made you think it's a bearish day today? Do you look at company earnings or just news in general?
Also I notice on some days SL tends to be higher than TP and yet we still end up being profitable end of day. Does that mean RR ratio is overhyped by forex gurus? Thanks for banking me points today!

So hyped you are writing a book, I've learned a lot from you since I started trading last year and am at the point now where psychological/emotional errors are really the only thing holding me back from being a consistently profitable trader. Amazing.. what time frames are you normally watching at the same time?
Tom is aware of all time frames from daily and down. But he watches 5 min and 15 min most of the time.
Tom are you trading through something like a Ltd. company or as a private person? I am asking because tax laws in my country (Germany) are a nightmare and a Ltd. is a sensible way to legally save taxes when trading.
Any form of tax questions is out of the scope of this channel.

I think that is what "differentiates" Tom from us "normal" traders: Tom can have a day where he starts out by having losing trades - also quite significantly in terms of points - but then he will turn everything around and end the day with (big) profits, whereas most of us (well, I can only speak for myself 😉) would have either stopped our trading that day after the losses or the day would have ended with a big minus. I hope I can get there at some point but I still really have many struggles on the "mental side" when I am trading 😥
Good comment. And you are 100% not alone. But you took a BIG step in the right direction when you realized that you have issues with the mental part.

They're about Astrology and trading and how the positions of the stars and planets, and the signs of the Zodiac influence the financial markets. including 190 pages of charting examples. They're the top sellers in the quack trading section after AB-CD & Fibonacci. 🦆🦆🦆🤦♂️
