John F.Kennedy Airport
John F. Kennedy International Airport (IATA: JFK, ICAO: KJFK, FAA LID: JFK) (colloquially referred to as JFK Airport) is an international airport in Queens, New York, USA. It is the primary international airport serving New York City. The airport is the busiest international air passenger gateway into North America, the 21st-busiest airport in the world, the sixth-busiest airport in the United States, and the busiest airport in the New York airport system, having handled just over 61 million passengers in 2018. More than ninety airlines operate from the airport, with nonstop or direct flights to destinations into five inhabited continents.
JFK is located in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens in New York, 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Midtown Manhattan. The airport features six passenger terminals and four runways. JFK serves as a big hub for 3 airlines, one of few airports in the US to do so. JFK is a hub for both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and it is the primary operating base for JetBlue. JFK was also formerly a hub for Pan Am, TWA, Eastern, National, and Tower Air.
The facility opened in 1948 as New York International Airport and was commonly known as Idlewild Airport. Following John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963, the airport was renamed John F. Kennedy International Airport as a tribute to the 35th President.

Hello there youtube, This is a brand new channel and it is the first time I have made a video. If you have any ideas, please leave a message to tell me. If you like it, please subscribe and press the small bell. Thank you!
Very nice video, whats the price for a cab from JFK to times square? It's better to take an uber or a cab? What's the best part to take an airbnb in Manhattan? thanks

LEE JESSON
@@affiliatesystem6624 They cannot charge more than $52. That is the state set rate.
Please drive slower, very slower....Come to Europe and drive slowly in the left of the road,in Germany in France etc.
I will never forget the magnificent view of skyscrapers outside the window I saw entering the city. Thanks for reminding me!
The nostalgia, it’s unexplainable
Yeah, I entered eastbound from west Newark on our way to Secaucus station and my jaw dropped at the sight of the downtown and midtown skylines.
this a good video to show how to drive expressway. M watching it cause I have a fear of driving expressway or highways. My sense for directions is terrible so yeah
I want to go to nyc more than anywhere else
same man, I landed at EWR at night, when I started getting close to Manhattan, it felt nothing short of a dream. The building that I had been seeing on screen were there in front of my eyes in full glory. It's just surreal.
The only time I’ve been to NYC was October 2019, just before covid.
Driving toward Manhattan from JFK and seeing the skyline lit up as the sun was going down in an orange sky is something that will always live with me.
Thanks for the ride!
The best part was no music or other bs.
It was as pure as it gets.
As a limousine driver who worked in NYC i have mad respect for your driving.
I don't know if you are in the business but you could not have done a better job driving.
I watched the whole video and it brought back many memories
I haven't been driving for a couple of years but I will always have found memories of driving the NYC area
Great video
So happy there is no music. Nothing beats the ambient sound of the highway through a lively city.
Hi from London UK. Did this very trip 15th August 2019 our 45th wedding anniversary. First time to USA and we just loved it.
This is exactly what I want Google Street View to evolve to someday.
Love from Tokyo Japan 🇯🇵 The best city in the world.
Besides NYC :) jk
I love Japan Tokyo from Bangladesh.
God bless America and NYC. Have made that trip several times.

The ride from JFK to Manhattan is something I've done several times, and I miss it dearly. I always feel so happy when I get my first look at the skyscrapers I love so much.
It don't matter how many times you see it, the skyline views never get old.
The shadows indicate it was early morning - most likely a weekend - because it's Crazy Good time to get from JFK to midtown in 30 minutes! You round that bend on the LIE and then BAM! - there's the Manhattan skyline directly ahead. I've driven this route so many times yet still get jazzed when the skyline first comes into view.
I was watching this video to see what approaching Manhattan from the east was like. It's not that different from approaching it from the south west via the NJ turnpike. I've crossed over the GW bridge many times. Sometimes we went south into Manhattan. Other times we stayed on the Cross Bronx expressway. Either way, seeing the Manhattan skyline was pretty amazing.
my parents always take the bqe sadly
Agree. I was thinking this had to be a Sunday morning. Best time to cruise NYC.
Such nostalgia and memories on my first trip to New York City 😍
I am from Europe. I travelled a lot, but never to US. I noticed how signs above highway tell you everything. Brilliant. And the view is amazing. Thank you for video!
They tell you everything in Europe too? At least they do in the UK and from what I remember about driving in the rest of Europe all information is there
They don't go to the correct lane here and overtake on all sides. 🤦🏼♂️
@Billy J no show without punch,,,we are talking about NYC,, england,is just a speck
on the landscape,,not
important,,,,,
Have you visited Somalia? If not, you should.
I’ve seen New York on tv and movies man times, but, this was great ride. Many thanks from England.
London and Manchester are great cities to travel into
I must concur with my compatriot here. Much more of a feeling of actually being there than the average documentary. Personally, I don't feel there was any need to remove the car horns. It's a famous part of the experience!
Fantastic Journey by car. As suffering victim of Corona Virus you offered me the chance to flee from isolation to a thrilling N.Y. adventure. Thanks to the author from the bottom of my heart.
22:37 🤩😍 there is that view ladies and gentlemen you all been waiting for....
As early as 21:40 you can see already the skyline
@@ray12lamko yes but comparing the 2 time stamps which one do you like?
@@ajay_constantine your timestamp is better, I must admit. Though in my own experience viewing this video, after around 20 minutes of driving, and I start to see a little bit of the skyline, I start to be excited to see more.
@@ray12lamko I definitely agree with that. NY 💓❤️😍🔥
Man, this made me realize how much I miss New York. I can't wait to go back there once this shit (the Pandemic) clears up.
@miss muscle IV always dreamt of going to. I'm from Byron bay
Make sure you get slashed in the face that's the new New York experience

@@jamelfergusson I can confirm that this is incorrect
I wouldn't hold my breath.
Just now I went to New York.without money. Thank you guy
Absolute nostalgia. Seeing this view from the front seat of a New York taxi is a moment I will never forget
I remember this back in 2008, I was just a kid and this memory will last forever. This city has a unique feeling... Wish I could go back to visit again. One day...
My and my family took a trip to NYC (from Italy) three years ago. I don't know what fascinated me so much of that city, but it was a mesmerizing experience. I still have breakfast every day with a Chelsea market mug! :-)
That describes NY to a tee lol... love the city but cant tell why
I hated NYC, then at age 12 I went with my family. And now I live there. Hahaha sometimes that’s the way life goes.
People don’t realize how immense New York is. I still remember my first visit, so large and filled with life.
I’m thrilled to watch this! I’ve always been in the back of a cab and never knew how we got to Manhattan from JFK.
And from the hotel back to JFK when we left.
I haven’t been to NYC since 1999. When things are truly open again I’m going back. I miss it so much!
This remind me when my brother in law and I went to the ESSEXX house... except that time was from LGA to the ESSEX... When I was able to travel to NYC... miss that
I was on this exact same route when I went on holiday to New York
I did this once going to the airport from Long Island City. Spent $40. Never did it again. Now I take the subway which is like $2.75 per train.
I live in ny and i'm still watching this because i'm bored and I haven't been to manhattan since november, only from a window :(
😂 .. and I from Germany started thinking about „how to get the money for a flight?“ ... to visit NY one day. If i would be you i just went to the next subway station, paid a ticket to manhattan for 3$ ? and would chill at central park or idk where
@@EhzyG sorry to say pal but if u live in Germany and u dont have money for a flight ticket that means u useless
@@ffmde8268 well idk where u from so i suggest the same suits to u but in fact by the time it’s nearly impossible to travel to the US from here. In additon to that a flight isnt that cheap so therefore the thoughts about having the money for a flight do matter in this case. 😂
So rn i‘m good and i can acquire a flight ticket in the future
FANTASTIC - THANKS FOR THE RIDE - GOOD DRIVING - THE MOST AWESOME LANDSCAPE ON THE PLANET
Very satisfying, I truly miss New York. Thank you.
My first and only trip to the USA was to visit New York for three nights in 2017. I remember arriving at night to see the skyline all lit up. Perhaps the most iconic of urban landscapes in the world, It’s a view I’ll always remember.
I would love to visit this city one day 😍
Not anymore lol, it was nice while it lasted. I went 3x and it was great back then. Hopefully things improve for it eventually.

It’s the Greatest city in the world...I’ve been living here in California for 2 years now & trust me NOTHING beats NewYork city !!!!!!!!
@@Jocelyn_Jade What?
@@Jocelyn_Jade It’s not what it looks like lol. Sure the skyscrapers and flashy Time-square screens painted out to be amazing 🤩, but the reality is a whole different story, with sky high prices for everything, like literally everything that one can even imagine.

Excellent videos. I used to live on E 20th in Peter Cooper. Brings back so many memories of coming home on the exact route, until turning south after the Midtown Tunnel. Now I go from JFK to Brooklyn Heights to visit my family. Thanks.
I was just 9 years old the first time but what a memory…
Glad to be here again again for Christmas 🇺🇸
What a nice driving Video! The road that JFK to Central Park is very nice and beautiful.
genuinely one of the best youtube driving videos i have ever seen, bravo 👏 👏
Hi from Liverpool, England. REALLY enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
Oh the memories of life in NYC...my exit 11, the LIE deciding point - tunnel or bridge?.....ok tunnel, crazy Manhattan lane switching stop and go traffic, went right by my office, bank and subway stop. Thanks for sharing!
It was beautiful 7 years in NYC as a black car driver and what a memories. Thanks to bring me to past.
MR ASMR EXCELLENT VIDEO FOR NEW YORK CITY. VERY HELPFUL FOR ME FROM INDONESIA. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Wow...thanks for the ride and the memories! I was born & lived in Whitestone for 23 years on 22nd Ave off the Van Wyck Exp. not too far from the Whitestone Bridge. Took this route many times...often as a teenager with my friends. Lived there through the '60's & '70's & saw a zillion incredible concerts during that period in NYC, NJ, & Long Island, including the Beatles at Shea Stadium, & every WHO concert at the Filmore East & everywhere else they played! Miss it so much...I'm stuck in Indiana now...so boring....
I have never been on a plane nor to America and it has always been my dream this so cool thank you
Wunderschönes Video toll gemacht weiterhin good Lucky car
Thank you: 22:35 brings me back to my first view of Manhattan, in July 1988.
Oh i never forget the feeling when you turn onto third avenue for the first time and you see all the scapers. I guess I fell in love with the city at that point.
New subscriber here...as a native brooklynite, I felt I was in the passenger side with you....great channel...
NYC is superb! I've been there once and absolutely gonna visit there again. Manhattan&Brooklyn, oh yes! 🤗🤗🇺🇸 Thanks 4 video.
Thank you for posting. I used to work for an airline and took many trips on the Van Wyck to JFK.
Un grand merci pour cette superbe ballade qui m'a rappelé d'excellents souvenirs puisque j'ai emprunté exactement le même itinéraire quelques mois plus tôt !
I come from Britain 🇬🇧 and hope to visit New York when covid19 is behind us all probably this year I enjoyed the video 🇬🇧🇺🇲♥️
I live on Long Island but lived in the city for 4 years! All i can say is driving in the city is always hectic! You did a great job though. I can’t count how many times i’ve made the drive from either Laguardia or JFK airport to Long Island or the City lol! Great driving!! 😁
i love the overhead bridge!
Thanks for the ride.
Yea, good not to hear someone blabbering all the time and just enjoy the ride.
Enjoyed that. What I picked up, and it’s the same the world over, no one can just stop and wait at a red light, everyone has to just roll forward for no good reason just so the guy behind can think you’re going abs then hit you from behind. Just stop and brake on.
There is a culture of crash for cash in Ireland where people do exactly that, roll off on a green and then hit the brakes in front of someone to generate an accident and get a big claim.
I would not drive in NYC because the risk of getting lost in some rough part is too high.
I went to the States to be an au pair for a year on July 9th, 2001. I was 20 years old. I cried my eyes out when I had to leave my boyfriend behind and can pinpoint the exact moment I forgot all about him: it was at 23:00. I will never forget the feeling I got when I was in the scalding hot shuttle, looking at this city for the first time. I didn't know where to look or where I wanted to go first. Oh, how the world has changed...
结婚了吗现在?
Love this, thanks for posting. I remember my first trip to the States from the UK. I had to drive to Endicott NY and a guy I met on the plane said 'take the second lane on the right on the Van Wyck and it'll take you all the way. So that's what I did - Van Wyck to the 495, Midtown Tunnel, 34st, Lincoln Tunnel, Highway 3, Rt 17 - all the way to Bigampton and then Endicott!!! Fantasic. This video brought back some great memories of my time there and of Manhattan. Thanks again.
My lovely home!
✨️✨ Thank you for the wonderful video 🤝🤗❤️👍
beautiful driving tour thank you for sharing this video my friend from 4k walking in the city of rome italy
That's a very prestigious destination .
Hey, I’m in New York City!
Where ya headed?
New York City.
See you in almost an hour.
In the much smaller capital city of Ireland, Dublin, at rush hour it can take you an hour for Northside to Southside. Unlike New York Dublin does not have any subways but a rudimentary public transport system which makes car driving almost mandatory unless going into the tiny and walkable city centre. Does New York have white van drivers who double park on the streets in a sudden rush, using their hazard lights as an imaginary exemption to the usual parking rules?? Dublin also has its fair share of drug crazed pedestrians who wander onto the road at random times oblivious to the traffic and their own lives....
Being pushed under a bus can literally happen here also if you are not careful.
I did this route in 2019. First time in New York. Unforgettable
This is WONDERFUL. Thank you. I hope to see all your NEW YORK videos!!! I have been to N.Y. only once, to the World's Fair.
Remember this when i was a kid 😢😢🥹
This is unbelievable. Thank you
I am fron Argentina and must have been in Manhattan on December 21 of this year. Your video was GREAT help. Thank you!. MS
I did exactly the same journey on the same day!!! London Heathrow to JFK then drove from JFK to Park Lane Hotel opposite Central Park! 8th Dec (Sunday) 2019! About 1degree Celsius if I remember lol
Give me fresh air, tree's , rivers and mountain's.
The most vibrant city in the world... New York 😍😍😍👍👍
Must have been a Sunday morning. The Van Wyck never moves that well during most of the day, lol.
They say nobody has ever beaten the Van Wyck.
true ! I was stunned how opened it was .
You hit the nail squarely on the head gasaholic47, i was saying the same thing myself, i was waiting for the traffic to start slowing down around Linden Blvd till you get to the Grand Central/ Van Wyck split, 9.8 times out of 10 it will happen.
@@ShadowHawk4219 When I worked in Brooklyn, I avoided it like the plague. I was coming from Westchester, and would take the GCP instead to the Interboro. As long as there were no accidents, it usually wasn't too horrible going that way, as in the morning going east on the GCP was easier than going west towards the Triboro.
This video just brings a sense of peace and tranquility to my mind...makes me feel at ease just watching and listening to it. Thanks for sharing!
I'm not kidding when I say that I view this video multiple times a month.
Wow,what a skyline, the city comes out of nowhere.

I came here after watching Cairo. This is heaven 😀
When I’m older I’d love to live in New York out of anywhere in the world, Sydney as a close 2nd
You'll love it. It has a fantastic energy.
NYC is cheaper than Sidney, which was ranked least cost effective city five years in a row. Also NYC is just awesome. You should definitely give it a try.
I meant Sydney. Sidney is a town upstate. Haha

Beautiful... Thanks for the upload!!!
Nice video I'm guessing that you made this video either on the weekends or holidays before the pandemic or sometime during the pandemic. The traffic on Van Wyck, Long Island Expressway, 3rd Ave, and 57th St. is unusually light. Anyway keep up the good work.
My wife and I did this trip by taxi 21 years ago on 6th December 2000, but we crossed one of the bridges into Manhattan back then. Queensboro Bridge I think it was. Crossing it was all part of the magic of that first and so far only journey into New York from JFK....
OMG wow the entry from a far of the skyline is so marvelous my adrenaline just shot highs, the best skyline ever
