People who say Lisa can’t sing are deaf. Does she have the same agility as Rosé? No. That’s genetics. But she can certainly sing.
Anyone who listens to Lisa's singing on "Happiest Girl" and "You Never Know"... and then insists on saying that she "can't sing"... is just proving that they are a hater who doesn't care about facts or reality. Lisa's ability to express the most subtle emotions of a lyrical line -- in a way that convinces you she's "going through" what she's singing about -- is exceptional.
When they debuted, YG listed the members' specialties (i.e. the roles they would mostly focus on in the group). For Jennie, it was "vocals/rap"; for Lisa it was "rap/dance"; and for each of Rosé and Jisoo it was "vocals". That's all YG ever said officially about their specialties and positions. They were never ranked against each other in positions. There was never any ranking of the members according to the "main" (first) and "lead" (second) nonsense that some fans obsessively repeat everywhere. (Unfortunately, the same type of people are trying to do the same thing with BabyMonster now -- pushing out fake lists of "main" and "lead" positions and rankings and pretending that they are "official" and they seem to be hoping to deceive enough people to create the same fake pseudo "facts" about position rankings in BM that similar people did with BP back in 2016).
Nobody at YG ever said that Lisa can't sing. They just assigned to her the primary roles of rapping and dancing in the group. IOW, rapping and dancing was the job description given to her as a member of the group. That's what YG wanted her to focus on. That's what they wanted her to be best known for. That was her main role in the group. Even Taeyang mentioned (when Shoong! came out) how his first-time seeing Lisa was when she arrived at the company as a trainee and performed the song "Baby, Baby" in front of the top executives and some of the artists...and he was so impressed by her SINGING and tone at that time that he was sure that she would become a big star.

So far, it hasn't been blocked. Blackpink has one of the BEST live Bands I've ever heard and I've been to a few concerts!They are up there with some of the best! Their productions are next level and the drummer is absolutely nuts!!! They've been with the girls from day one, they treat them like their little sisters. ❤❤❤❤

Definitely don't understand how some haters say the girls can't sing ... THEY ABSOLUTELY CAN!! Their live band is incredible. Hope I can see them live one day.
Unfortunately, anyone can share their opinion on the internet, and even when it's an objectively worthless opinion, it can still be annoying to see.
These two songs have Blackpink's best lyrics and they also released them at the right time, when they received the most hate. "Love to hate me" was one of the first songs they released completely in English, so that everyone could understand it.
You may love one of the members of Blackpink, but the truth is that we love the entire group because four unique artists have come together, each one with her own talents and that is why they have achieved the musical phenomenon of Blackpink. All their songs are very good, both those with MV and those without. They don't have any bad songs that haven't been successful.
I paid to see The Show when they had it live it was so good and Lisa does a great Doja Cat cover I bought the DVD when it was available. Lisa's eye roll at the end of her rap is what makes that so cool.

Interesting opinion, as ‘You Never Know’ happens to be one of my favorite Jisoo performances. Any minor imperfection you may hear, is easily made up for by the passion of her vocals. There is a strong sense of conviction in her words. Jisoo makes it quite clear she believes every word she sings.

Aaah , one of my favourite songs of Blackpink is You Never Know.
"The Show" was so good, it was during COVID and they couldn't do a tour, so they did "The Show".
You used to be able to get the whole thing in hi-def, but clearly its not available any more.
Luckily I've seen it multiple times (these two specifically over 50 at least), and these two songs were so awesome, because there is no M/V.
Lisa was my favorite on both songs, but that doesn't take away from Jisoo, Rose or Jennie, they were all amazing.
I always say if Lisa is 100%, the others are at 99.99%. They all slay.
This is one of the most live of Blackpink that I love so much the emotion the lyric and the live music is so special.
The band here for the show is the same band they tour with. The band has been with them from the beginning ❤

Hate in this is jealousy. Because you can't hate what you don't see and know. If you were to hate a group, why would you bother listening/looking up/watching them or even follow them on social media etc. It's just jealousy.

The Live Band name is THE BAND SIX.
Theres not many groups in kpop female or males that all of the members can go solo and has went solo and still contend with other big girl group while being a soloist. Majority of most kpop groups ,only the most famous member out of the group has a chance to go solo. BLACKPINK IS ONE OF THE FEW that all member went solo before thus why they hold records breaking in a lot of category

Rosé's tone is one of a kind, but all of them are amazing bc they complement each other very well.
Unfortunately most of those haters are kid underage or childish teenager whose just trying to highlighting their fav by shaming the others. And sadly most of them also akgaes (solo stans)😔

I've got news for you, don't be surprised, kpop rivalries is unbelievable and crazy. I'd been a kpop fan for more than 15 yrs. and had seen much ridiculous fan rivalries and "fights". Although there're immature juveniles involved, there're a large portion of adults, even those in their 50s and older with loads of stakes and interest in it. They ranged from students to working adults, your common humble working folks to business owners, Ceos and powerful officials in high places. Kpop is not just hobby and entertainment, it's all about money, influence and power too. Rivalries runs deeper than most people could ever imagine. Many may not believe it, but it's still true. 🙂

This is the best show, unfortunately they didn't included in Bornpink world tour. Only online concert during covid.
There is a reason why the 3rd generation is the strongest. When idols started appearing in Korea, they were targets of persecution.
The first generation lip-synched indiscriminately. In response, people made a huge criticism, and the live sign was put on the screen or forced to go live on the broadcast.

I'm not pressed about the lyrics personally. The most impactful line is in english and delivers the full intention of the song, which you guys easily picked up on, and you got the live version at the same time which is definitely better than some colored text. Good reaction.

Thank you. Yeah, when you don't know, you don't know. We do a lyric video and get heat for that, do a dance practice get heat for that, do live, do a M/V, etc...someone always wants something different. But we just roll with it.

Guys this album was released during Covid. Thus they did this show without live audiences.
Subsequently they released another album Born Pink. It is a much more matured progression from this album you reacted to.
Interesting you spotted Lisa's vocals in this review.
Because of that, I strongly recommend you listen to the new album's "Happiest Girl". The deep and rich vocals that Lisa gave inside will astound you.

Very good songs
I wrote a comment previously about how fans will recommend their favorite version/performance of a song, and how it's not always the best. This is the first time that it's honestly irritated me - not at you. "You Never Know" is one of the most emotionally raw songs BP has ever done, and they recommended a version without subtitles. This, to me, would be like recommending "Bohemian Rhapsody" to a non-English speaker for a first-time listen - it's about the lyrics. I don't make requests, but I'd urge you to - when you have time - to read the lyrics of this song. Some fans like this because it's one of the only times it was performed live, but, without subtitles, the overall meaning of the song is almost completely lost. In any case, I absolutely appreciate what you do, but I think that a lot of people were waiting for you to hear the actual song. Well, onwards and upwards. ;)
I completely agree, I don't know why they didn't react in COLOR CODED LYRICS, we have always told them that the B-sides must be in Color coded so that they understand the lyrics and know who is singing, the sad thing is that these are the 2 best songs of the album but they gave it the worst reaction, and it's frustrating.

They're trying to respond to what fans are requesting in the comment sections. Plus, they're putting out a huge amount of content while both of them are still working full time jobs. I've seen this happen with every reactor - they listen to a vocal minority of fans who have their favorite version, and they, through no fault of their own, get burned. You can't blame them, it's these fans who think that a live version is always the best, no matter what.

As someone who really loves Jisoo, The Show always gives me mixed feelings. The prep for this concert overlapped with Jisoo's filming for her first lead role in Snowdrop, and due to covid, there were delays in the scheduling that complicated things for her. And crucially, the role she took was a really difficult one with high tension and lots of shouting and sobbing, so her vocal condition was far from her best for this concert.
Both of these songs are among my absolute favorites, but it hurts that this is the only time either one was ever performed, because despite how good she was here, I really wish we could have heard Jisoo at her best!
Also, I do recommend you consider fitting in a lyric watch to Love to Hate Me in your next bp reaction, because they cut the length of the song and heavily tweaked the style of it for this performance!
