Into High Country Episode 10 Season 12 Jason and friends hunt Merriams turkey in the rugged country of Montanas Badlands. Traditions run deep at the annual Wall tent turkey camp.
That’s absolutely fantastic. I would really love to do something like this every single spring. As an Easterner who has never hunted elk (but knows the difference) there’s nothing in the woods like a turkey 🦃 and when he gobbles. Perks me up every time. Congratulations to everyone at camp 🏕 for having a great time first and foremost and to those who notched a tag 🏷. West Virginia was extremely tough this spring, I didn’t see or hear a turkey 🦃 after April 18th, the second day of season. I hope that my family and I can head west to hunt Merriam and Rios next spring. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🦃🦃
Howdy Jason. Your turkey camp looked like a lot of fun for a bunch of folks! It is something I look forward to every year. And now my son and grandson are addicted to it! :-) I have great luck with hunting turkeys. It is not uncommon for me to call in 2 toms at a time, a double up. I should come and call 'em in for your friends! 🙂 Thanks Jason for this fun video! Later on Sir...

@@jasonmatzingerofficial Your the best thanks!. Love the vids. Show more of breaking down the animal and packing it out. More content. Just because your vids are so great.
I agree with you it was extremely brutal in the northern panhandle of West Virginia this year. I didn’t hear or see a turkey 🦃 since April 19th which is the second day of season.
