I think they have updated it so parasite is no longer first option thankfully, also mad respect for showcasing the umbral ending path in a guided walkthrough. I imagine I could play this game multiple times without realising some of this quest stuff

Are you sure? Literally the only option I had was the parasite. I even clicked "Do nothing" and then talk again and all I could give her was the parasite.
Funny enough, once I gave it to her her menu popped back up and I could still buy stuff for her, at least for a minute. My game crashed shortly after
@mattwilder646 you just have to keep resting then go back to her for the menu to change or the option will be to give parasite
huh, I guess what I learned from this walkthrough is that I need to restart my game with radiance build to be able to beat this boss
Damaros you have to talk to her, dont give seedpod. Rest talk to her again, then you can give the flesh. Buy the items. Talk to her again then give the seedpod.

I had to rest after giving her all three flesh, before she had new items to sell.

Rest didn't work. I then warped to Mines and went back to where you get the saw to check it wasn't still there. It wasn't, so I went back to Damarose and she ate the three peices of flesh. Not sure why it finally worked.
TIP: Always try the L1/R2 combo of any weapon, especially when duel wielding. You'll find that some are meh, some are pretty good, but some are _game changing_ move sets. For example the L1/R2 move set when duel wielding two grand swords wrecks the entire game.
22:19 For Damarose's part, if you have all the fleshes and she only has the "Use Damarose's Seedpod" option, just quit your game and reload it. The game will update itself and you will be able to hand over the fleshes, buy the 3 rings, and you can seedpod her for Umbral ending

I wish the boss fights were slightly harder and kukajin questline got changed. This game has so much potential. Loving the walkthrough. As much as I loved Lies of P I really missed the sense of exploration. What an awesome 2023 for gaming

You can Parry the dragons dive attack to dismount the rider early.
The save back to cloud doesn't work on PS5. After you download your save from the cloud and go to create a new character, the dark crusader is not unlocked, despite having just got the achievements. The classes unlock need to be tied to achievements and not the save file. I have no idea why the devs chose to do it that way. If you could please pass that along to them I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it.

It didnt work for me either and i'm on pc. The backup worked and everything but i did it 3 times save scum didnt have the crusader class unlocked for me i finally just said fuck it
Same, trophies popped, but then no new game crusader on the reset from cloud save.
Before you restore from the cloud, create a new game with the new class?
After I defeated Iron Wayfarer I found, 15 Replete Vigor Skulls, 40 Large Deralium Shards, and 2 Deralium Chunks beside the Shrine of Orius at Skyrest! Not sure if anyone else noticed or mentioned this.
It was a temp patch introduce to offset them changing boss weapons to +10.

I didn't have the option to give the flesh either. I had a feeling there was one or two beacons I didn't interact with at all because I was afraid of hitting cleanse by mistake. I went to back the 5 of them and interacted and selected Do Nothing, went back to Damarose and had the option to give the flesh.

if anyone is stuck and light reaper is not appearing then you are missing the tower of penance beacon!

If on PC and backup the save file doesn’t keep the dark crusader class for you, don’t exit the game and replace the file, exit to main menu after the fight and do it exactly like he did it and it’ll work! I initially quit the game entirely and replaced it and was just a reset to before the boss fight without having the dark crusader class.

Right on time! I just finished following you the last episode lol.
I found that if when you talk to damarose to get the other dialogue you need to rest and then you can give her the items. Everytime you rest it'll switch between giving the seed pod or giving her the items.
On console the dark crusader is tied to your save, so I backed up my data, and made it so my save does not sync. beat the lightreaper with issac and unlocked the class but as soon as I downloaded my old save the extra class is gone.

Ughhh 😑😑😑 I had no idea why we were backing up a save. I just figured it was because you only got one attempt to get the dark crusader class or something and just skipped doing the back up save. I knew I’d probably beat him first try and I did. But completely screwed my Kukijin quest line after doing every step up to this point. This is what happens when you game while exhausted from work 😭

Lol I just killed this boss in my ng+ playthrough. You can still access this boss way before even going to pilgrim's perch. Only in ng+ tho. If you opened the door that leads to skyrest from upper calrath, that door stays open in ng+. So you can fight this boss as early as even before pieta in a ng+ game.
I think I fucked up, I used the rune of Adyr on the gate after the Harkyn fight, and when I went to get the Gerlinde Seed pod, it didn't offer it to me.
Cowboy i love your videos but man you need to bump your volume up when rendering because it is so low i have to crank it which is fine but then a commercial pops up and is extremely loud and obnoxious.

The Dark Crusader class doesn't save on PS5, reloaded the save and it isn't there like it was after the boss fight. Im torn on what to do 😔

Idk if Cowboy ever covers it, but I went down to where the dog is at the hub after light reaper and there were a ton of upgrade mats in one of the cells including 2 delirium chunks. Maybe it's new after the devs changed boss upgrades???
Correct that was a 1 week thing to offset the change they did that fucked so many people. Typically you're not handed 30,000 free souls and 2 chunks.

This definitely got nerfed. The holy fire didnt do any damage. Had to take him down the old school way, face to face.

Pretty sure some of them I never bothered to interact with and just want to know if that’s ok before the ending.

I'm pretty sure Cowboy mentioned in an earlier video you can just not clean the beacon w/o interacting with the "Do Nothing" option.

Cowboy, when making a save (PS5) to do the boss with Isaac then with Kukajin I did that, fought the boss with Isaac, got the trophy and it said I had a new character available. I did everything you said but I don’t have the new character. Any advice?

Im playing on PS and I backed up my save before the fight, completed the fight got the class and all good, then I went back and downloaded my cloud save and did what you did but the class is not there anymore. Can anyone help?

I didn’t get the trophy for collecting all gestures even though I have all 21. I did however get the trophy for the iron wayfarer quest completion. This really pissed me off, anyone have any advice on why it’s not popping up? I’m on PS5 by the way.

It's kind of sad because playing my radiance build has made me realize how under powered agility is. I always do a Dex build for my first play through of a soul's like game. I absolutely love this game but they did not do agility justice.
Yep. Dex is terrible. I ended up switching my dex build to a bow and crossbow build a little after halfway through this walkthrough and I've been slapping as a "ranger".
My +10 talon build smacks with the umbral eye of the bloody pilgrim and +10 assassins bow might not be as op but way more fun to play imo

hey guys, does anyone know why after defeating judge cleric when i go to upper calarth everything is as before? I mean there no changes and the enemies a little after i fought pieta are still there and there is no (new) memory. Also when i go to the arena the lightreaper doesnt appear, it seems bugged and i cant progress the game

Hey Cowboy, I went through the process of saving my data like you said, followed a CZcams video for PS5 but when I restored the save files my saves were gone. Since Sony is insistent my files are lost can you recommend a repeatable Hard drive recovery tool so I don't get scammed? Hundreds of hours gone across all my games.. thanks
I think I did something wrong. I didn't get anything from mother's lull, and Galinda had nothing to say to me. Also, I had nothing to place by the umbral which.
So I got Damarose’s seed pod and used it. It’s still in my inventory. When I went back to Mother’s Lull to interact with the NPC to get Gerlinde’s, he had nothing to offer. I can’t find out how to progress from there. I’ve restarted the game - everything I could think of. Any suggestions?

If you're going for platinum there's a trophy. Don't remember if it pops from a summon of him or a kill tho.

So if the game didn’t spawn Iron Wayfarer during the fight where he steals the rune will I be locked out of the umbral ending? If so, should I just go light all the beacons?

He only does that if you grabbed all of his stigmas and it has no impact on any of the endings

I paid the extra money and started with the Dark Crusader class so do I need to save the game before the fight? I'm on PS5 and not sure how to save the game first before the fight. I'll have to review the Elden Ring steps for saves to find out.
I didn't get the dark crusader even though i beat the light reaper and summon isaac. Did the devs patch the game to not be able to get the dark crusader class?
I believe it might have been patched which sucks. I got it after killing the Lightreaper with Paladin Isaac, it said Dark Crusader unlocked. Replaced the Saved games and killed Lightreaper with Kukajin. Went to the Main Menu > New game to check it out: it's definitely not there.

nope. they're still super easy. its because the game expect you to play the game 3 times. your suppose to play radiance route in ng+0, Inferno in ng+1 and Umbral in NG+2. So in many ways, NG+0 is tutorial mode. It is just that nobody plays ng+'s because you lose checkpoints(permanent checkpoints) for going to ng+. so most people just stay on ng+0. A lot of weapons are also not very good after going ng+ so you reduce build creativity for going to a higher difficulty.

I killed all the bosses so far, judge cleric tancred etc , I’ve been to every beacon and selected do nothing for Adyr ending… but now the enemies after the original pieta fight are still there, and that stigma is not there, but upper calrath is blocked and I can access light reaper by going the back side way ? What did I miss for the stigma and no enemies to appear
I think it’s based off of the iron wayfarers quest line, making sure you speak to him everytime and exhaust all of his dialogue. As well as his stigmas, did he show up and grab the rune of adyr when you were in the Abby?

Why didn't he explicitly say not to open the way up the castle? I locked myself out of all endings as a result after 60hrs :( obviously was my mistake for not being more careful but it is surprising how you can easily lock yourself out of all endings with no other possibility to end the game and try again in ng+

I find it hilarious that the lightreaper is only scary during your first playthrough. When you build and max your stuff and go through the second playthrough, dude is so basic

You accidentally chose seedpod instead of flesh. It's crap because mine gave 2 flesh and when I went to give the last it said seedpod. It tried to fuck me but I chose do nothing and talked again then I could give last flesh. So bs the game pulls sometimes.

Is cowboy going to tell how to get the Platinum trophy? Because I heard him say the collectables (costumes) kind of threw him out of wanting the trophy. Can i just follow the walktrough to get the Platinum in one playtrough (using backup file) or will it require additonal playthroughs because of the collectables?
Multiple playthroughs, and no easy way to track what you're missing. Just a pain tbh

@@FightinCowboy Hi cowboy, yesterday finally got the Platinum! It took me a total of 130 hours including 4 playthroughs to get the required Umbral Sourcings and farming the necessary armor pieces. In the 4th playtrhough I required to trigger the Tortured Prisoner boss which I apparently missed before. Overall it was a good game, better than I expected. I enjoyed the co op. The health pool of bosses in NG+ are too much in my experience, could be that the radiance build has been nerfed a little too much, I am not sure. Glad to have finished it. My next game will be Nioh 1 + 2 (collection).
How do i get the dark crusader and finish kukujin quest on xbox
Ps5 wants you to have to purchase the crusader class so makes this impossible.

i like souls games, and this game, but man they need to put a notebook or something to track quests. every time i boot this game, i gotta boot the youtube too.
I been following walkthrough to the letter, I used the seed pod on damirose and got the first platform in mother's lull, but the zombie dude there won't give me anything else and I need more seed pods, but there's no option to interact with him???
