Refresh your wardrobe for the season with these 3 easy and cheap sewing hacks on fixing up an old pair of jeans into a whole fresh new look. In this video I use vintage ribbon, trim and lace gathered from ebay, etsy and local shops to emulate Anthropologie and other retailers jeans that have embellished and embroidered hem jeans available in stores now for a handmade, much more budget friendly option. these jacquard ribbons resist washing machine well? I don’t want to end up with frayed ribbons or worse, dye stains all over my jeans.

Yes, they do fine in the washer. I would wash them cold, maybe even a delicate cycle with woolite if you’re very cautious- and hang the jeans to dry.
