Really glad you put Flash as number one - here's some other not well-known facts about the king:
    - He was an innovator beyond his time - he actually contacted olofmeister midway through the game with LDLC with instructions on how to utilize and win with the controversial "olofboost"
    - when Armada broke Mang0's shield, he was about to do a regular punish before Flash secretly contacted him to, and Flash calculated all possibilities and moments to know it would happen with 100% accuracy, pull another turnip since he knew it would be a stitch face and Armada could style on him with that
    - Flash was a fluent Tagalog speaker and coined the phrase "Lakad matatag" which he told the commentators about the day before the match. The commentators also attribute the "echo slamma jamma" to Flash as well.
    - Flash, during the match between Faker and Ryu, took control of Faker's Zed the moment Ryu started his ult on him - it would have been cleaner of a kill if Flash wasn't playing remotely on 25 ping and explains the turret shots and auto attacks Ryu got on him before the ult.
    - Flash granted Zero his ridiculous 56 straight tournament wins because of coaching and advice from Flash - he only lost his 57th because he forgot to pray towards Flash's location before MLG 2014.
    - Flash whispered into Simple's headset "throw the AWP" before the crucial moment on Dust.
    - Flash is responsible for directing and scoring the peach montage scene from the critically acclaimed South Korean movie , "Parasite".

A couple reason why Flash is the Greatest : Flash is the most successful player in the history of progaming in terms of qualification.
Flash earned the award for "Most Wins in Proleague" four times
Flash has the highest Elo rating record of all time. He broke the Elo record six consecutive and Flash is the only player to have an Elo peak in the 2400s.
Flash is the first player in history to reach both individual league finals 3 times in a row.
    The
Flash received a golden ruler after winning his third ASL championship, aswell as a golden trophy for winning three consecutive ASL championships.
Flash is the first player in the history of Brood War to win 4 seasons of the same Premier tournament, winning his fourth ASL championship in Season 8.
All of these ridiculous records and titles are cool and all, but what strikes me is how strong he actually is. There is no player so universally respected and feared. Most interviews with other top players devolve into them saying they probably can't beat him.
He has consistently changed the meta by himself. His off races are both pro-level.
His nickname is God for a reason

Firstly, fatality's games against tox were in quake 4, not quake 3 (toxic won btw).
Honestly I'd put players like Flash from SC or Rapha/Cypher from Quake far above fatality.
Anyone that has looked into it knows that many of his "WC" titles were either him racing a game on launch with a tiny pool of competitors, or winning so called "world" titles that had almost none of the best players at the event. There's a reason why most of the "hardcore" fans never liked fatality. All self promotion, branding and delusion to this day.
Rapha and cypher dominated quake for far longer against far tougher competition while Flash was also in a bigger scene, being more recent and in SC...
Ultimately, he was never the best painkiller player (vo0 was always better and lost like 1 event to fatality). He was nowhere near top at UT, though he did place 3rd at one respectable event (eswc 2003 or something). Was possibly the best quake 3 player for 1 year (first year of launch). Are you going to count wins from games like Alien versus Predator? lol
Listing those accolades may sounds impressive, but plenty gamers have much longer lists on their wiki pages.

@Seno rac i'd wager puppey/kuroky should share a spot on this list or something close, although n0tail did win back2back ti's. i dont feel his pedigree is higher than theirs. when it comes to impact on the scene, and how long they have been around.
just silly to have n0tail over them.

@@XJumpManReturnsX lol meta shapers? Rat Dota was originally conceived by Notail's fnatic but is attributed to Alliance because they perfected it. Illusion meta got gimped by patches because of OG during the Boston Major. Then, an even more impressive feat imo, dismantling established "metas" in the past two TIs.
Puppey and Kuro have only had a head start in Dota 2 by 2-3 years. They played dota 1 b4 that but if you're going to include that, then might as well include Notail's Hon days, which he dominated as well. Facts point to Notail having a much more stellar career so far, and in a relatively shorter amount of time than the 2. No biased attempt of yours to disprove it can ever contradict the facts: 2 TIs back to back, 4 Valve majors while playing 4 of the 5 positions available. Yes, Notail has had a better run so far.

The issue is that sonicfox dominates games that don't even come close to pulling the competitive popularity of the other games on the list, if the list was "greatest players ever to dominate games that aren't in the list of the most popular in their genre" sonicfox would be unstoppable as #1 and the same can be said of knee until tekken 7 where he doesn't dominate as hard. The difference here is all the players in the list dominated the most popular game hence drawing in the highest level of competition
