Medicare is one of the best government programs ever created. It has some flaws but overall is very good. Do you think it will stay that way?

If our government was not owned and controlled by big Pharma and the health insurance industry, our elected representatives would have the guts to vote higher taxes for rich people and corporations Who avoid paying taxes by the hundreds of billions $$. Plus, raise the cap on Social Security and Medicare. Then, reduce the bloated/wasteful defense budget. (do you realize we cannot audit the defense budget… Too much money to keep track of) Those steps would go a long way to protecting Medicare AND Social Security. The “spending” problems are THERE. MEDICARE FOR ALL… We must remove the for-profit health insurance industry… They are leeches on the system.

How much is an alternator for a 2019 Ford Explorer?

Thank you for your comment! While this channel focuses mainly on Medicare-related topics and helping individuals make the right Medicare choices, we unfortunately do not have information on the cost of car parts such as an alternator for a 2019 Ford Explorer. However, if you have any questions or need assistance regarding Medicare, feel free to ask and we would be more than happy to help!

Congress has to do something to fund Medicare in the future. What are the options? Are they going to suddenly push 60 million senior citizens off Medicare and tell them to find their own health insurance? That would be a disaster all around.....

Yes. The entire system is on the verge of collapse.

Hard to imagine that they don't find a way.

That’s exactly what the plan is to do.Watch some youtube videos about direct contracting entities where Trump decided to align millions of seniors on traditional medicare THEY CHOSE over to these. They are actually even worse than Medicare advantage plans only having to spend 60% on care & pocketing 40%, handing it over to Wall Street. This OBVIOUSLY means way less care & more denials. This can be done without seniors on traditional medicare being able to decide this is what they want. It’s set up where they can’t opt out. Then along comes Biden who has turned the green light on for these DCE’s, but has made it where someone’s primary Dr. has to send out a letter, that could get lost in the mail, or people will throw it away not understanding & then they’re in one of these DCE’s that has limited networks. The gov’t is OBVIOUSLY not concerned for seniors.& deliberately want to end it & turn it into PRIVATE healthcare.

Working people don't want to pay more payroll taxes. Seniors don't want to pay increased premiums or have reduced benefits. Having the US Treasury pay for more means increased taxes for all and opens the door to Medicare for All. And everyone blames congress?

I watch Devin Carroll's channel which is all about Social Security and it's a pretty steady stream of worrisome news.
If I understand things right SS and Medicare are tied together to some extent.
It seems the plan of each administration is to kick the problem down the road (short term fix when absolutely necessary) until it's the next administration's problem .
    This can't end well.

Trust the government? Trust politicians to do the right thing? Haa, they say one thing and do the other, they will throw the people under the bus.

    Response to question 1: Nope.
(And the intentions are specious, at best.)
My perspective: Gen X,Y and baby Z want to strip it from us by making it "universal".
That means everyone gets an annual slice and the deductible is the balance of the loaf.

nope, don't trust they know what they are doing. if they do know, don't trust they will do the right thing.
