She had a tough life and despite her circumstance (her parents were both disabled) not being intentional, as a kid, she didn’t get the stability she needed so (in her child-mind) *made* that stability in perpetual narcissism and self-absorbed thinking that would’ve matured out of her had she lived a normal life.

I also don't think she would have arranged to be in the car when it happened. But the others? Absolutely "Allegedly."

I bet he even knew, or at least guessed that so-called "friends" was, in fact, a lovers of his wife. It seems that recent shortage of young females in Korea ("thanks" to selective abortions of girls because every family wanted a male heir, but didn't feel financially secure to raise a second child) made Korean men so desperate for a wife that they are OK with tolerating of any kind of disrespecting and outright abusive behavior from a woman.

    I was in a relationship like that, where I gave everything to my fiancé, and was still abused. I worked nonstop, and as soon as the money came into my account, my boyfriend/fiance took it. You can think that the victims are weak or whatever, but I never thought that it would happen to me until it did, and I had too much pride to ask anyone that I knew for help. I ended up homeless as a result. I lost my house, my savings, while my fiancé was sleeping with other women and doing drugs with my money. He was physically abusive as well as emotionally abusive, and when I tried to report him to the police, they were apathetic. It's only when you're literally left for dead - or dead - that the police finally care. And that's if the victims even report the abuse, and I can understand why many do not. It's very daunting to.
    When I hear these stories, I always wish that I could have met the victims before they died, because I was almost one of those victims myself. You could have been making a video about me, if not for a slight miracle that my ex left me unconscious without checking to see if I was actually really dead.
    I wish that I could have met Sam. He sounds like a wonderful person, and I wish that I could have been friends with him. I wish that I could have given him the love and friendship and compassion and joy that he clearly deserved. I always feel that way when I see one of these videos. All of these victims deserved so much more. It's easy to judge until you walk a mile in someone's shoes, but never underestimate the power of an abuser and their manipulative tactics. You never think that it's going to happen to you until it does. Abusive predators target kind people, giving people, vulnerable people. They target the kindest, most generous, and most giving amongst us, because those people are always the most forgiving, understanding, and tolerant. It's vicious.
    People who lack empathy have no place in society. They are too dangerous.

    • @Karamarika
      @Karamarika Před 6 měsíci +40

      I think a lot of people expect police to act on just an accusation. They can't do anything without proof. Plus a lot of abuses aren't actually illegal. For example, if you're handing your money over to someone, you have the freedom to do so. How are you going to prove you're being coerced into it? It's very difficult, which is why it's so important to collect evidence to show that these abuses are occurring.

    • @justanotherhappyhumanist8832
      @justanotherhappyhumanist8832 Před 6 měsíci +135

      @@Karamarika No, there was proof. Lots of it. They literally just didn't care. That's what it's like in the country that I live in, unfortunately...and that's what makes it so hard to escape relationships like this when you finally realise what is going on. Or even if you just have stalkers and you're not in a relationship! I had a stalker for two years a couple years ago who was a neighbour of mine, and it's very scary. He would put letters through my door all day and night and stand outside my door and window all the time and the police would do nothing. They have all of the letters - hundreds of them, all saying very crude things about me being on his bed in all of these positions. When I asked him to stop, he began saying racist and sexist things about me, going on racist rants in the messages, saying threats, trying to poison my dog. He would approach me in the street and try to grab me sometimes. The police have evidence of all of this. And they wouldn't do anything. The guy was crazy and scared everyone around. He even attacked people in the area - he tried attacking an old man who is a priest who lives down the road. The only reason that he is gone now is because he has left the country (apparently to go fight for Hamas, is the story around town, and he did say in his letters to me that he wanted to go join them, but who knows).
      You can have lots of proof of crimes occurring and the police won't do anything because they can't be bothered to. Some will be nice, but some will be real bullies, and they will keep switching you to other officers, trying to shift responsibility so nothing will get done, and actually try to bully you to drop the charges because they don't feel like doing the work. It's actually shocking. I'm glad that I had neighbours and friends as witnesses with me most times that I spoke to them because some were so aggressive with me, you would think that I was the criminal! You can have evidence of serious injuries, countless threatening letters and text messages, and they will still do nothing. Even burglaries they don't do anything about (I haven't been burgled, but I know that it's a real problem around my city, and in every part of the city everyone says that the police do nothing, even if they have evidence). It's really bad.
      There's actually been a really serious problem here with women getting killed after reporting their ex boyfriends and stalkers to the police and them doing nothing only for the women to end up dead. Or honour killings, and things like that.
      Anyway, I don't know why you would make the assumption that I called the police without evidence. It's so funny how some people will do anything to both blame victims, and excuse the police for not doing their jobs. I mean, you literally just made a bunch of completely baseless assumptions about how I either called the police with no evidence to back up my serious claims, or called them over lesser things like giving my ex money that I wanted back - when I made it pretty clear in my comment that my relationship was physically abusive and actually resulted in me almost ending up dead.
      So why would you write a comment saying that I must have called the police because I had no evidence or wanted money back that I had freely given my ex? What makes you so eager to blame victims for their fate, and excuse police for not doing their jobs? It's just bizarre. I don't understand people like you.
      And also, just FYI, when I called the police, I did it for the plethora of reasons that I previously mentioned (stalking, abuse, violence, breaking and entering, threatening letters and messages, etc), all of which involve a lot of evidence that should have been taken seriously. I even called them one time and my ex had broken in through my window. When I answered the door to the cops, my ex had a knife to my back (he had threatened me that if the cops did not believe me he would stab it straight into my back and at least injure me before they rushed in and I knew well enough to know that he was telling the truth), and when I opened the door just a crack (and I had said over the phone quickly that my ex was breaking into my flat before he broke in, and smashed my phone and my head against the wall), they could see me with injuries, and blood trickling down my ear, and my eyes were wildly trying to point behind me as I kept my voice calm. They asked if he was there and I said no, that he left, while trying to motion with my eyes like crazy. They asked if I was okay, and I said yes, meekly, while trying to imperceptibly shake my head no. But I literally had blood running down my head. I mean, any decent cop would ask to come in. I was peering out of the door like a crack. My eyes were going wild. They must have known. There is no way they did not know. But they just smiled and left on their merry way and left him to beat me some more and get angry at me for leaving him. I moved so many times and this ex would always find me, and I finally broke free because one good cop finally found my case buried under a plethora of DV cases after years of stalking, beating, being found, having my flat broken into, finally being left for dead, only to call the cops and have no one call me back...and then 6 months later this one detective decided to look back through a bunch of cases to see if there was anything that they had missed, and he was really my guardian angel. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have been able to take the bastard to court. I wouldn't have had the courage. He supported me so much all the way. If all cops were like him, the system would be amazing.
      So anyway...yeah, I gave them a lot of evidence. They still have a lot of evidence that they haven't acted on. Real evidence. And maybe people like you shouldn't always immediately discount victims' stories, and assume that it must be the victims who were at fault for ending up in the horrible situations that they did, or for not giving the police enough evidence beforehand, or for not understanding the meaning of the word "evidence" because we're just "stupid victims" in your head, or whatever your next excuse is to blame the victims instead of the people who you should actually be blaming in these situations is (ie, the cops and other people who don't do their jobs and take victims seriously, and most importantly, the perpetrators of crimes). And you definitely shouldn't be making completely baseless assumptions about things that an ex-victim has just told you about - especially when those assumptions conflict with what they've literally just told you about what their experience (and all so you can try to minimise what happened to those victims, in some weird attempt of yours to ignore the actual issues that they've just raised).
      Yours was such an unnecessary and insensitive comment to write.

Could it be possible that he was underwater beneath Sam, pulling his legs down so he would drown? It could account for the air/water in his lungs…Sam fighting off the hands and resurfacing, only to be pulled back down!
    Plus, I am happy the insurance company didn’t pay her because all those cancellations and reinstatements were suspicious AF…especially with things happening to him in those moments of coverage!

    49:00 Honestly, I don't hear a sweet child caring for their parents - I hear someone who, at a young age, already learned how to manipulate and con folks into doing and seeing what she wants them to. I feel like she's been horrible for her entire existence, she just got sloppy with too much confidence and got caught.

    • @q.u.o.t.e7149
      @q.u.o.t.e7149 Před 6 měsíci

      She probably understood from a young age that her life was “unfair” and her parents didn’t really do much to help ease that anger she felt. So it just grew and she started to realize that she could manipulate people to make the life she liked. Delusional as sh*t. Like in no way I’m saying being evil and murder is okay but personally as someone who had to mature in such a young age, I can see how tempting it is to throw all your values away, because in a way it is one of the only things holding you back from being selfish and even cruel to others to obtain what you want. Though it’s stupid and utterly disgusting because victimizing yourself all the time won’t get you nowhere and it’s not the fault of others, most of all to inflict pain. I hate how it can be relatable to a certain extent, though I definitely am not going to agree with murder. Just a bit of insight of personal opinion.

      Extreme poverty growing up is often overlooked as a reason for how people like Eun-hae come to be. It fosters a resentment so strong that it manifests as almost a kind of narcissism. A mindset of seflishness so extreme they'll do anything, and run over anyone just for money. Be extremely manipulative for money. Anything better than going back to poverty.
