Forsythe Mill Covered Bridge Rush County Indiana

Forsythe Mill Covered Bridge spans Flat Rock River in the southwestern corner of Rush County, Indiana.
Built by the Kennedy Family in 1888, the Forsythe Mill Bridge is a single span supported by cut stone abutments. The 196-foot Bridge is the longest single span in Rush County.
Forsythe Mill Covered Bridge has been well maintained. The exterior is intact with white lap siding and a tin roof. The interior is also in excellent repair. The Burr arch with a kingpost truss and the lengthwise deck is characteristic of the Kennedy’s covered bridge construction. The Bridge is open for traffic.
