No, people should NOT stop talking about religion just because they don't believe in it. Religions, specially Islam in the case of Pakistan and (somewhat) India, have been trying to shut people up for stating that they don't believing in that archaic nonsense. It's widely accepted to use terms like "Mashallah," "Bismillah" etc. in regular conversations even if they are around non-Muslims (like in Western countries). So it is very hypocritical to say that people should NOT talk about the religion that they have left, religions that haunted them all their lives. It's akin to asking victims of abuse to talk about the abuse they've faced. Besides, people need to know that you can get out of the menace of religions, that there are others around who have, and that there is a support group should you need one. Cheers!

You cannot kill anyone in Islam(Muslim or non Muslim), other than the time you are defending yourself, family e.t.c or in the case of revenge(not sure about revenge but forgiving someone is always appreciated) and in the case in which you kill someone without any reason(which a lot of people do, even those who do killing in the name of Allah, all of that is haram) and killing one person like that is equivalent to killing the entire mankind and hence equally punishable.

Radcliffe was a respected judge in Britain. He was called to draw the boundary between India and Pakistan. He only looked at the demographics of majority of Muslims and Hindus living in the Punjab and Bengal region and drew the line to distinguish the nation-states of India and Pakistan.
The interesting thing is that the boundary that separated Punjab is discussed more in historical books than in Bengal because of the unprecedented violence and terrorism that happened in this region. What’s more ironic is that Radcliffe left India immediately after drawing the lines given his life was at stake.

  • @saliktanveer2605
    @saliktanveer2605 Před 6 měsíci +7

I wanted to share 2 examples of how namaz/salah helped in personal and social well-being.
    1. Back in our young times, around 2005 we used to get together to smoke MJ. Some of the guys were regular smokers meaning getting high almost everyday at any time of the day. One guy joined the group but he used to come only on weekends. Then few months later he started praying namaz. Now the Quran says don't go near namaz when you are intoxicated. So he started avoiding MJ during the day because the 5 prayers are mostly few hours apart, leaving not much time to get high and then get normal to pray. Other friends who didn't pray were getting high regardless of the time of the day so they were actually wasting a lot of productive hours of the day. This guy then started doing MJ only after Isha namaz because that's the last prayer of the day. I think that was a really good control that namaz imposed on him because there is really nothing else that could have stopped a stoner from wasting productive hours of the day.
    2. I have been living in USA and anyone who lives abroad will ditto that the social life is very limited around here. In my current neighborhood, where i have been living for 3 years now, there are coupe muslim houses on every street. However, we only see each other once or twice a year during Ramadan or eid etc. The entire neighborhood is like that for that matter, we see the person next door maybe couple times a month, say hi and then get back inside lol. Just a few months ago, one of the neighbor texted me that he going to pray Isha in the masjid that's about 10 min drive away and can pick me if I want to join. So i joined him and the next day he texted me again and i joined him again. Within matter of few weeks, two more neighbors joined us and now 4 of us, who weren't probably even aware of the existence of each other in the hood, now see each other every night when we carpool. Now we are in better position to understand each other, what's going on with the lives, who need help with what etc. Without the system of daily prayers I really never had an excuse to see my neighbors everyday.

Still the main problem remains same as the atheist guy asked in question that why it is so easy for Muslims to get radicalized + they have very strong opinion about how one should perceive their religion and even a little debate can make them so defensively angry.

    • @saliktanveer2605
      @saliktanveer2605 Před 6 měsíci

@@The-Anonymous. it's hard to answer in comments. But in a nutshell, only superficial muslims are easier to radicalize because they haven't really understood the essence of Quran. If they ever read Quran with translation they will understand the context of ayahs and what they actually meant.
As far as debating religion goes, yes people tends to get angry about thing that love and care about. Think of people arguing over their favorite political parties, sports team, Marvel vs DC and the list goes on. I am not saying that it's ok for religious ppl to get heated just because other arguments happens in a similar way but just understand that religious ppl are also humans so they aren't immune to human weaknesses.

As a former muslim from Pakistan I'll probably stop talking about religion on the internet if I moved out of Pakistan but the thing is I'm reminded all the time that I could get killed for my beliefs so why shouldn't I talk about it in hope that maybe people will get to senses and stop this bullshit. Whenever some mob lynching happens here it triggers many people's trauma so they talk about it. I myself am more active about it in Ramzan because I have to follow the practices of this religion and I can't live peacefully. It is probably the only religion which officially has a death penalty for leaving. Definitely it should be talked about.

In many cases it happens bcz of digital nerve compression like yoou said lifting heavy grocery bag etc. It moat cases it goes off in couple of days. But if its still there and has not gone completely then it can be median nerve neuropathy (though your symptoms are not very typical) or radiculopathy of cervical spine. It better to do Nerve conduction study of you right upper limb in that case.
But i think your symptoms must have been less now which happens to most of the patients and in that case you just have to wait and take some vitamin B12 tablets. Best luck.

@Junaid - last question: I think we don't understand how can you put your parents, kids, family at an equal pedestal as god. How people with faith get offended if someone utters anything against your god? We have so many curse words invoking mother, father, sister, etc. - your literal family! I haven't seen any faithful got offended to an extent to harm someone. Then why only God? Why so much anger and retaliation over words? Why you have to defend your faith? Is your faith is too weak that it needs constant defense? The pattern I found was the faithful people who are weak or politically motivated lean towards harming others. Violence over words is not a sign of strong-willed people.

Regarding the Aethiest Question I have a few points to make.
If someone asks me why I am a Muslim or why am I religious person then my reason is the following (you may completely disagree with them) but just give it a read.
    Let us take two scenarios.
    - If there is no God (because we dont know for sure, as we have not seen him), then after death a believer and a non-believer will be standing at one point. Lets say it is a tie for both of them.
    But
    - If there is a God (because we dont know for sure, as we have ot seen him), then after death a believer will be the winner and a non-believer will be looser at that point.
Hence the overall probability is advantageous for a believer.
The other reason is that religion provides a greater sense of motivation for performing good deeds (like not lying, not cheating, treating your parents with kindness and so on) by giving them an added motivation of heaven and hell. Hence, if a person truly follows the teachings of religion, he becomes a better person and on a wider scale the society becomes a better place to live in.
    And Finally
The way all the natural things are constructed, there is a symmetry in them and it seems that someone has constructed them. Big bang does not seem to be quite a good explanation of all this, because how can a disorder of such huge proportions has created such a order after so many years. It seems a bit illogical.

wow bro, I am a Hindu but I agree with your thoughts. The points you present seem more logical for why religions exist in the first place.
I know that every religion, every community or everyone is not perfect, all things have some imperfections or it used to be right at that time.
I think every religion, every community or everyone should change according to time or reviews there rights or wrongs like countries amend the constitution from time to time.
And i am sorry but I pretty much disagree with your big bang point, I mean in hindu mythology it's believed that the Universe is created from a point or you say from absolute zero and it's expanded and still expanding and it will again contract into a point or absolute zero.
You can agree or disagree with me. Anyway wish you good luck.

one of the best ways to curb ur cheap dopamine urges is not to start fighting with that urge but instead delay it, the intensity remains just for seconds or a minute and u ll realize after a few minutes that u don't feel the need to fulfill ur desire which is nothing but an healthy act for ur brain and body. If u fall prey to ur urges immediately wen they arise it shows ur weakness and it ll definitely impact ur personality and hurt u in other areas & ll not even understand the root of it.

Atheists can't stop talking about religion because the same religion wants them dead, the same religion has goons that brutally murder anyone who disagrees with the concept of God and disavow a religion they were born into by pure luck. It's ironic that you chose to take this stance, which tells me a lot about you as a person, then accepting that religions have been one of the most destructive divides between human beings for centuries. Good riddance that we are slowly but surely getting rid of that poison.

    To the lawyer :-
Ask yourself, why are you so obsessed with collecting information and news about the world.....?
I am not against reading or learning about our world,
but in your case, i feel you derive your self worth by what others think about you.
Hence you feel obsessed with gaining knowledge, so that you can appear as an intellectual infront of people.
Please, do not consider me as a troll, or someone who is discouraging reading or studying ...
But there is a difference between acquiring knowledge and mugging up facts... acquiring knowledge should bring you peace and tranquility and make you feel wiser, instead if you researching about topics , which you are not even genuinely interested in, just for sake of appearing intelligent infront of others and massaging that self esteem, it's always gonna be like hamster running in a wheel. You will always feel lagging behind, because people will keep jumping from topic to topic...
Hence instead of jumping on latest trends, pick few topics and genuinely research about them, which give peace to your soul

he is an atheist so first question would be where does he derive the concept of good and evil why are certain things good and why certain things bad after he has dug that hole will you move on to discuss namaaz rozay wuduu etc the person doesn't believe in the basics and you're answering him
i understand that your platform isn't built on religion or answering scholarly questions but atheists shouldn't be let go by anonymously saying a bunch of things where there's no dialogue because if you're gonna teach them you need feedback aswell to gauge their understanding which is difficult to do from behind a camera or behind a screen
