I got this DVD pack at home. The thing I find weird about this pack is that it actually contains sounds live action short films in the Christmas cartoon section.
It also has live action three stooges intros, and live action Intros of this guy the Pied Piper who introduced cartoons. He was an opera singer who later killed himself.

You're right about the set containing cartoons from other cartoon collections. I own an early set released by Mill Creek which has almost all of the exact cartoons on the first three discs.
This set is a reissue of previous collections all in one collection menus and everything is the same for example discs 1-3 are from the 150 Cartoon Classics, discs 4-6 are from Ultimate 150 Cartoon Festival, discs 1-3 and 8 are the 200 Cartoon Collection, and so on

But I still wished they have done something interesting for a changed like released some past Cartoons/ Anime shown in UK/USA/ Australia from the 90's, 2000 and beyond like: Cartoons: Blazin Dragons, Space cats, Starla and the Jewel Riders, The Addams Family, Creepy Crawlers,Mighty Ducks, Mary Kate and Ashley in Action, Biker Mice from Mars 1993 and Gormiti Nature Unleashed. Anime: Cardcaptors, Spider Riders, Yo Kai Watch and Ultimate Muscles. It may sound a lot to wished for but if you have some favourites Cartoons/Anime memories from your childhood like me then you would understand from what I'm coming from even though it's unsudden if it even going to happen in the future. One of the disc has listed a Cubby Bear cartoon called "The Gay Gaucho" however for the life of me I couldn't find it. There is a Cubby Bear cartoon called "Robin Hood Rides Again" aka "Goode Knight". But it's hidden in another stash of miscellaneous cartoons.

+Tim Wailordlover I doubt it since PlayStations are usually region locked. You might need a multi region (or region free) DVD player. I know that I would have to get a multi region DVD player if I wanted to play Region 2 stuff on a USA Region 1 player.
It depends if they allow DVDs to be played from other regions. From what I understand, most DVD players are region locked so either way you might need a multi region player...unless for some reason your portable is multi region. You'd just have to look and see.
My complains with this DVD set 1. It lacks Mickey Mouse cartoons and it has very few Tom and Jerry shorts 2. The disc package is horrible 3. 2 of the discs have Clutch Cargo episodes and I hate it because it is boring and creepy

I notice that the episodes are randomly picked. Ie: disc 1 contains Popeye cartoons so does disc 5.

There were only three Mickey Mouse cartoons in the Public Domain. Besides, we should be happy with what we got.
