About 2 Meter Sessions
====================
Based in the Netherlands, 2 Meter Sessions is an independent, ongoing (new) music platform with a great legacy. Monthly we film 3 to 4 sessions with promising and breakthrough acts from all over the world.
Many well-known acts have visited the show; from James Taylor, Elliott Smith and David Crosby to Damien Jurado, Ben Howard and Josh Ritter, via Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive footage can regularly be seen in (theatrical) documentary movies, like “Mystify: Michael Hutchence” (with footage of our session with INXS, filmed in 1997), “Heaven Adores You” (with footage of our session with Elliott Smith, filmed in 1998) and “All I Can Say” (with footage of our session with Blind Melon, filmed in 1993).
The show started back in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske. On his popular national radio show he persuaded New-Zealand band Crowded House to play a couple of songs. The response of the public was so great, that 2 Meter Sessions quickly became a household name. In 1993, the show made a successful transition to national television. From there the show became a national phenomenon, for over 10 years, with filmed sessions of new talent, breakthrough acts and arrived career artists. Almost a million of 2 Meter Sessions cd’s were sold in the Netherlands.

Incredible how the editor kept switching camera angles during the guitar solo and still couldn’t find Johnny
This. 😂
Conspiracy theory!😂
Jonny, the "h" is stolen by Thom

29 years ago. F*ck me. Time flies.

Same. Sheesh.
😢
fucking true....
That's the month I saw them live for the first time. Tom Yorke's voice was completely angelic at the time! Great upload.
you were completely angelic at the time
@@Munnwort Well.... I was definitely in a period in my life when I saw almost a concert a night, working in a concert-hall and everything. It was fun. Long hair. open mind for all kinds of music. The Netherlands. The bands loved our city and concert-hall and all came. Radiohead I was in an audience with only 40 people when they performed at our place. Pearl Jam came to us, the night before they did that famous Pinkpop concert in 1992 (which I also attended by the way haha), and it was great: The first time the guys ever experienced stage-diving during their concert haha. Eddie Vedder was still wearing our concert-hall-logo T-shirt we gave him the night before. Definitely a concert you should check out here on CZcams. Cheers.
FULL SESSION PLEASE!!!
Beautiful 😌❤🔥
up
i want it too
The Bends was when I fell in love with Radiohead. Still as fresh today as it was all those years ago.
Any new version of High and Dry I discover drives me crazy. Now I'll listen at least 100 times.
Not as much footages as OK Computer songs played live, sadly. Since 2012, I've only found this version (before being remastered to HD), Pinkpop 1996, Jools Holland 1995, Glastonbury 1997, and the Metro Chicago 1996 too if I'm not mistaken
First Radiohead song I ever listened to. Made me fall in love with the band and got me through teenage years.
at their prime time ❤
the bends is always my fav best of radiohead
Good days
Wanna go back again
a true masterpiece
I was 17 getting drunk with my friends, Im 38 and 14 years sober now, its nice to remember

Wild guess..........Phil is the drummer? Lol

Avevo 20 anni..inserivo la cassetta nello stereo della mia nuova e prima auto, e volavo con i sogni sul mio futuro.. grazie
Radiohead were splendid during this session. Real great performance.
The split saddle on the acoustic gives the guitar great sound. Great balance to it.
Fantastic as always. Thanks for uploading and please share the full session!
Radiohead the best band of all time
Suede are better
Queen is but Radiohead's first 3 albums were insane.

Sometimes I trick myself into fully believing that there are certain people that are assigned to us to give soundtracks or other kinds of art commentary to our lives. It freaks me out to the point where I'm scared to listen or look because it means I attribute a kind of importance to the lyrics/music/art, as if the art is a crystal ball and I'm scrying in a way that meddles with forces I have no business in.
This often makes me wait a bit before engaging because I believe it will have been better to use the art as a substrate for cathartic exegesis. There's always a little regret mixed in.
Radiohead has been that for me in more ways thsn any other artist or group. The Smile's second album is waiting behind the curtain for me even though it's been out for a while now.
Cheers, Yorke,Greenwood, Greenwood, Selway, O'Brien, and you too, Godrich.
J'adore cette version je viens souvent sur CZcams pour l'écouter 🖤🤍🩶
When I met Thom and the band in Cleveland before their show at a gloriously intimate venue there on THE BENDS tour and mentioned that his plaintive, emotional voice reminded me SO much of that of David Gates (Bread), he claimed to not know of whom I spoke, but I’m not sure I believe him!..
brilliant performance
Thank You
Really good quality!
Thanks ❤
Amazing

I bet you think that's pretty clever, don't you, boy?
Flying on your motorcycle
Watching all the ground beneath you drop
You'd kill yourself for recognition
Kill yourself to never, ever stop
You broke another mirror
You're turning into something you are not
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Drying up in conversation
You will be the one who cannot talk
All your insides fall to pieces
You just sit there wishing you could still make love
They're the ones who'll hate you
When you think you've got the world all sussed out
They're the ones who'll spit at you
You will be the one screaming out
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Oh, it's the best thing that you've ever had
The best thing that you've ever, ever had
It's the best thing that you've ever had
The best thing you have had is gone away
So don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry*

You can find the session with 4 songs elsewhere on this site.
You could sing the phone book and I’d listen
❤🩹
Omg. Hair on philip
🥱🥱🥱
Sono molto bravi soprattutto il chitarrista.. però adesso che hanno un età matura sarebbe bello se affrontassero qualche tema sociale, per esempio dedicarsi al problema di Gaza, scrivendo una bella canzone che parli di pace..
Secular Hope...
Billy corgan in drum ?????
This song just needs the dancing boomer meme with an overlay of young people at an auction
Thom only has right ear so he can put the headphones in any direction it will always sound right.
Когда-то мне это нравилось. Сейчас я вижу во всем этом зашкаливающее позерство.
А у меня сейчас как раз такой период когда очень нравится такое....
Les mecs étaient quand même bien shooté 😂
If I could stay
Then the night would give you up
Stay and the day would keep its trust
Stay and the night would be enough🤣
The song that saved their career. Radiohead should be grateful
Why should they be greatful they made the song?
@@thebstever because they needed a song like this to be more accesible to media. Let’s face it: no radio was going to pass any of their weird sounding songs on “The bends”. “High and dry” was more accesible than “Creep” for instance. “commercial” if you like, but did the trick
the Pixies birthed Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit, and Nevermind, and In Utero, and grunge, and weezer, and Bush, and Toadies, and Blur, and Radiohead, and Modest Mouse, and Metric
Just and Anyone Can Play Guitar please!! 😢
Some of these shitty comments! 🙄 Radiohead is one of the best bands of all time!
Why can’t everyone just appreciate how old this live is and the amazing voice Thom has and still f’n got….
“This is called high and dry, a useless pop song, means nothing at all”
Great performance, but sloppy sound engineering - which surprises me, as 2 Meter Sessies usually does a good job.
sooooo overrateeeeeed ooooooooh ooooououououh
I hate Radiohead
the sound sucks 😻
dude
dude
He looks like a Jeffrey dahmer 😂 sorry god
I was born 97 😅
They are already making history before i born
The split saddle on the acoustic gives the guitar great sound. Great balance to it.
