It's because they added flour to those fries, since the fries were wet it covered them in dough, in this case you have to throw them one by one, so it wont's stick together.
You have to do that so they dont stick together. They come out good and crispy tho.
Wish we could find more fast-food places in the U.S. that actually make their burgers & fries fresh like this.
