I would love for Sydney to do 200m from 2026 in the fallow year of athletics into 2028 going to the LA Olympics. There is something about Sydney and her ability to be so versatile that could make a major threat in the 200m.
This race in my opinion, is one of many that showcases she can flow between almost all the sprint events and could be dominant in any event she chooses (The 100mh, 200m, 400m & 400mh specifically).
Win or Lose at Olympics, I want to see more of Sydney in the 200m, I can definitely see a 21.8 from her.

That is incredible for a speed training one-off race. I wish someone else in the race had pushed her hard to the finish just to get her under 22. But it’s obvious she can do a 21 something. There are many sprint specialists who never get under 22, and here Sydney does it just for speed training for her main event. What an athlete. Another world record coming, and Femke, as good as she is, will settle for Silver. But it’s athletes like these that push the limits. We are so blessed to get to see them. Yeah, Sidney isn't resting on her laurels and wishful thinking to anyone who thinks any of her competitors can keep up with her in the 400 hurdles . She looks ready for a low 50 point or possibly dipping into 49 seconds. She getting better. Speed, endurance, the full package. Hopefully she'll run an open 400 soon so she can break the American record. That was extremely impressive considering the women she just took down, Femke would have come in dead last, probably at least a half second behind Sydney.

Should be a great final in Paris. Femke Bol has improved a lot since they last raced, and ran 22.6 on a 200m short track earlier this year, which means she could have probably run around 22.3 on a normal 200m track with less bends. So she also has the flat speed.

One can disregard how effortlessly she runs the toughest sprint in the world (400m hurdles) or how visibly unexhausted she is after the race, even though there's a remarkable similarity with Flo Jo on both counts. But the harder to miss red flags are all there - huge improvements on world records regularly, big breaks away from the track, ability to compete in events she's never run competitively before and still beat the world's best, and coached by Bob Kersee who was once known as Bob the Chemist coz he only worked with athletes who agreed to take PEDs.

Syd is a straight up alien . If ever anyone has seen a more complete female sprinter in the history of athletics including flo jo and the current big 3 from jamaica Id like to hear who it is. The woman had not competed in a 200 m in 6 years. She lines up in the box with imo the 2 greatest 200m sprinters the USA has , and in a workman like , easy as you please manner torches both while posting a personal best of 22.03 ! Not even close. Honestly.. nothing terribly shocking here in as far as Syd is concerned. this woman is the final word in being prepared to compete. What I found astounding was Gabbys baffelingly slow and honestly dismal showing. Please , someone who was there tell me she was holding back.. dogging it for some reason known only to her , god and her coach. Its a forgone conclusion after seeing her in LA that if ... she wanted it , yea she would own the 200m field . And when I say field I mean the entire World. every single thing she decides to compete in ... Its lights out. Will miss very much seeing her astound the World with the first undoped sub 48 clocking in the 400m if the rumors prove true that she will once again defend her 400m hurdles title in paris. It isn't really necessary although any chance to see Syd and Femke on the track at the same time is simply must see. The highest drama the world could hope for is that Syd doesnt defend in the hurdles and locks in on the 400m sprint.
Why ? Because its the one event that she can and should compete in where the outcome is not a forgone conclusion . Love me some Femke Bol...not a snow balls chance in hell she beats Sydney in the 400 h.
The 400m sprint however... Oh yea ..this is definitely one she could lose with the likes of Paulido , and shana miller Ouibo to deal with. But if she jumps in .. she wont lose. As I said , she IS the final word in preparedness
