Don't be hard on yourself Chopsy, the rocket even on warm tires isn't getting to power down from 3th to 4th gear. Mine does have a remap and it eats everything you trow at it. Your review actually made me buy one 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with the thing. Cheers mate 🤜🤛
Much extra power after remap? I've heard there is some hidden extra in the engine
@LambChopRides Hi Chops, I read power was limited to about 50% in the first 3 gears and decided to run TuneEcu remap. It gives a 100% of it's power in all the gears now. Man, this felt like the touch of God. It hasn't been on a dyno but others that did the same measured about 190Hp and about 172Hp to the wheel with stock exhaust. The torque went up from an already beefy 221Nm to about 235Nm. To give a some perspective I was planning on selling it last year for the new Hayabusa and got to test drive it for an hour. OK, the Busa is a nice bike and if you give it some time I'm sure after 120 mph it'll be faster but anything below it felt like a toy in comparison. I'm not bragging but a Rocket with a remap is all the point-and-shoot action you'll ever need. I'm always on the lookout for something new but at this point, I don't know what bike to replace it with.

Nice one Chops 👍. I was there on the Friday when the Harley crashed. Unfortunately it ended the session midway through. Great access to the likes of Hickey, Mcguiness, Plater and others though which was a nice touch…….
I think Saffy Sprocket was quicker and she got it turned round at the end in a oner. 😂😂. Great to see Barry’s bike given a spin.

Absolutely gutted my ride was scrapped because the dude crashed the harley :( I was only there Friday so no opportunity to do it again! You SMASHED it !!! :)

Don't feel bad Chopsy. Considering that was your first attempt on that bike with no practice beforehand (who thought that was a good idea?), you did pretty well. I doubt any of us could've done better in that situation. I was there on the Friday with the wife when the Harley rider stacked it. First we knew about it was the loud gasp from everyone in the show watching it. Never saw what actually happened though, so hopefully the rider was okay!

Buddy, looked like an absolute blast! For a second, I thought I was watching a trailer for the newest Fast and Furious movie, since you and your doppelgänger Vin Diesel, have so much in common. Living your life a quarter mile at a time! Very respectable, especially for only getting 1 true pass on that torque monster, while others had 5 attempts. Great to see Womble, tell him he got a smoking deal on those Alpinestars. Those retail for over $800 Canadian here.🇨🇦
Keep the rear brake on, clutch at biting and revs on. Pre loads the back end down.

As a Rocket 3 R rider, I'm sure that Rider Mode with Sport Map and Traction Control off would have made a world of difference.

Can’t believe they told you to put it into Rain mode, worst thing, you had a 240 tyre, Rocket 3’s party trick is launching hard off the dig, and can launch hard in 2nd, or 1st, I could launch my 3R in sport no problem leaning well on, tho the GT is a bit more sit back so not ideal.. not the best Rocket advert.. ahh well Chopsy, as you say it’s not your thing, a bit of fun 🤷♂️ 🙈 Rocket 3 is one of the hardest launching 60 footers so would have a good crack at this tho the H2 wouldn’t have needed to come out of 1st,

With such a torque monster you could of launched in 2nd gear. Would of helped with traction and saved a time sapping gear change. With only one run they really didn't want you to embarrass them all did they.

I've ridden the Rocket 3. Expected a dog, it wasn't. Was quite a bit of fun tooling around town with those geology-shifting waves of torque on tap.
