I wish I had seen this before I tried to assemble also using their video. Loved your attitude about them updating that video.. I laughed because I also struggled with the fender and tried everything you did. Then I also apparently put the handlebars on backwards and didn't know what to do with the black ring. I did get the front wheel on correctly the first time. THIS should be heybikes official assembly video. Thank you!

I just received one today and assembled it. Two important things. The front brake caliper was out of alignment, so you have to loosen the two screws holding it, squeeze the front brake gently, and tighten the two screws back up and release the brake. The other thing is tightening the seat quick release clamp is tough. I had to use a wrench on it to tighten it sufficiently so that the seat can't turn. And if one wants to change the angle of the seat for comfort, a larger 13mm wrench is needed to loosen the two nuts. They were on very tight, and there was paint on the threads which might have been the problem. So I'm charging the battery and will probably test it tomorrow weather permitting.

Let me just tell you...I received this bike from Amazon on 08/06/22, and Heybike did NOT update their manual OR video for assembly instructions and I had the exact same issues as you did. I appreciate your video and love your personality! I have the newer version as well, but the old manual and video. What a pain in the arse it was to assemble because of that. Should have taken me 1/5 of the time. I just was hopping on CZcams to find a newer video to make me feel more confident that I have put it together properly. I really didn't want the wheel falling off as I was going 20mph! Thank you for your video!
Updates with ebikes are a must, agreed. I had one that didn't even come with a manual, it did but not for the model I had, it literally just had a photo of my model.

Thanks for this! Like you, I watched the manufacturers video & like you, I believe I got a newer version of the bike-which didn't match the video or handbook. So I was frustrated and perplexed for a bit. It wasn't until I saw your video did I go back and re-assemble and did what you did..and was finally able to get the bike put together. One thing I can't seem to fix is the handlebar alignment-seems to keep moving (every time I turn, it goes out of alignment)-but this was awesome!

It's a cute little cruiser that you built yourself! What's not to love? I'm really into mountain biking, but after dropping thousands of dollars on one they had better assemble, and perfume and polish it as a courtesy. Great video as always!
I dropped a few grand on a mountain bike too recently, it came assembled but there were no innertubes!

I debated on redoing that part to look smarter but it was funnier to leave it in.
Good and informative video. The cat supervision was good. All cats are descended from egyptian royal cats and are in charge of everything. I am sure it was the cat that made it possible to get the bike working despite the defective instructions.

Great review of the product. If it wasn't recommended make sure to recheck securements of major components that were assembled after 5 10Hr. If you put a basket on it. You'd be surprised some animals more than enjoy the ride

I'm having trouble charging the battery. Which angle does the key need to be in- for the charger to charge?
More info. In your video I see a plastic fitting on the bottom of the steering column. My girls just told me they removed it because the column wouldn’t fit the hole with it on. I think this is the issue. Any thoughts?

I wish they'd come in all different colors besides black and white and two I wish I had one but I don't have the money right now and one more question when you put the battery in and it's locked in place can you take the key out of the ignition and put it on your key ring around your neck so you don't lose it cuz if it's still in there I'm afraid it might pop out if you hit the bump or something on the road or if you crash and it gets broken in the thing then your tattoo just wondering I wish I had one but I don't have the money and if I do get one I'm going to have the bike shop put together that way I'm not putting it together

I just got this and am on the struggle bus trying to get the front wheel on...mine came with a black thing on the wheel that no video addresses...so I ripped it off...now there's no way to thread that thing with the springs through...ugh....
I’ve juste received and assembled but there is an issue with direction handle colon, it keeps turning even when it’s tightened to the max! It’s about an issue or I missed something? Do you have any clue to solve this please?

where can i get a new front wheel
Hello, I sent your video to my girls that just relocated to California from Michigan. They’re having an issue with the steering turning but the front wheel remains straight? From your video it appears as if the steering column just goes right in with no issue at all. I’m not sure what may be wrong as I can’t see what they’re doing. They said that it’s seemingly OK but after a few turns, the column spins but the wheel remains straight. Any thoughts? Thanks
They didn't tighten the jam nut tight enough. Having loose handlebars is very dangerous, I hope they figured it out.

Keeping the button pressed, to walk the bike in walkey mode is the lamest thing on these controllers. It is even worst on my bike, with just a light bubble bump type press button. After pressing continuously for a while your thumb gets dented and you loose the sense and muscle memory of it. Then the tiny button gets released unknowingly and you end up adding large amount of thumb pressure on it, which damages the button. It would be better for the walk mode to have a lever or something.

Very true. Rest the bike upside down on its saddle and handlebars. This should make it stable enough to install the wheels, etc. But gotta hand it to Ms Zophie, she sure put in the effort and prevailed.... Congrats Zophie 👍
