Love the slogan on the sign “Buy one or we’ll both starve.” 😆😆
The best ever slogan with deep meaning.......😊👍
Hi Greg
I struggle with mental health issues and watching your videos puts a smile on my face when needed
Thanks greg
hope you're well kevin -paul
"Buy one or we'll both starve" -- haha gold.
Tony Hancock: ' I thought my mother was a bad cook but at least her gravy used to move about!'
Geez he’s got some great variety of fillings 👍
Thanks Mate 👍
Greg, you’ve got to try a pie from David’s hot bread on wondall Rd at manly west. Across the road from the wynnum manly leagues club.
It’s a hidden gem! You won’t be sorry. I worked at a bakery that had award winning pies when I was at high school… David’s hot bread pie leave them for dead. Trust me, it’s be eaten a few pies on my time.
Hi we have so many things in common when it comes down to food in the UK and over there we also eat tons of pie's and fish and chips and Marmite and vegemite although i have to admit i do prefer your vegemite to are marmite as yours isn't to over powering, great as always mate 🍻🙏🙏🙏
Omg that looked so bloody good
It looked absolutely awful.
@@meegoreng8155 agreed
Love them pies!
In Los Angeles there are many things, but no AWESOME PIE SHOPS like this one here! What a wild assortment of quality pies! Oh my goodness me. 😳
Try The Pie Hole along Lincoln Blvd or the pie shop next to Chipotle on San Vicente in Brentwood.
You guys have a better choice of other things
Few points Greggo.
1) literally round the corner from my joint, so could have called me in for the review
2) Muzzas is okay, but only 5 mins away is a really bloody good pie. Stone Artisan Bakery, its inside the Rock n Roll fruit shop & Deli, on Logan rd Greenslopes just passed Stones Corner
3) 40c for the dead horse is a disgrace. When i come to power, charging for sauce will bet met with mandatory jail time!
It looks like a soiled diaper
Yes! Stone Artisan Bakery pies and cakes are incredible. Sausage rolls good too.
I would consider myself a pie expert, and I can tell you that Old Fernvale Bakery sells the county's best meat pie! I'm confident in saying this because I visited 9 other pie shops within the same week for the vlog!
Im also a bit of a pie buff and I know a good meat pie when I have one. I'll have to try the place you recommend. Trouble is I live in WA.
@@F50Aircraft borders are now open, might have to book an early 2022 trip
@@godgiventalentau For us here in WA - borders come down on 5th of February.
Country's Best Pie? I believe that title officially goes to the Pinjarra Bakery here in WA.
Fernvale Bakery is definately up there with the top dogs. Robbo's bakery at Karalee was a gun for years but sold to new owners who don't make them the same. Syds Pies off Drew's Road on the service road of the M1 is a bell ringer too. Their Guiness beef Pie with mushy peas are outstanding. I've heard WA has some crackers too. Be keen to try
Pie and a pint hits the soot during our cold winters here in the UK
Hi from Farmington New Mexico 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Alot of cornflour and I could see gelatin in that so called gravy! It looked good to begin with and made me hungry! But the puff was a magic act to create illusion of quality! Because you take the time to dissect your reviews! You were able to see pie smallish, pastry flavourless and guts lacking chunks of meat with an average gravy filling! The average punter would just bite into it and think it's ok! Because people eat with their eyes! If it looks good they are halfway there to believing it tastes good!
Gelatin comes from animal bones
Why is bbq sauce 10c dearer? Tight arses
Steak Tomato and Onion sounds good and the Custard Tarts look top notch but charging for the sauce sachets is just a no no.and maybe it's convenient it's next door to a Doctor/Pathology/Podiatry 😳
Always up for pie an chips mushy peas an gravy ..thanku lovely Greg much love and God bless always x
That's how the beef meat pies look from my local grocery store's store brand except larger.
Greg could you consider doing a New Zealand tour and trying our foods here?
Maybe not because he might have expensive girlfriend. We'll see.
yeah, steady on there. god put water between us for a reason. to keep the aussie's out.
Will Supreme Overlord Jacinda ever let us back in ???
NZ pies are way better than ours... Unfortunately.
@@waldopepper4069 🤣🤣🤣
Hands down another top review well done cob
Always wanted to visit Australia, a old hunting buddy was from Queensland but I guess With today’s world I might never get to see it. But I got these vids! Really appreciate it and enjoy your content!
Hang on , Why doe's BBQ sauce cost 10 cents more then tommy sauce. Glad I'm a tomato sauce fan . Can't beat a meat pie. 😋
must be becuase it's black
It’s cost about double
Australia’s favourite! The good old maggot bag.
i recall in the 70's, we had a local pie shop. got shut down because turned out the guy was using all the neighbourhood stray cats in the mix lol.
Pussy Pie..mmmmm😋😂
Ahhh, so that's the secret ingredient the kiwis put in their pies ... Gotcha.
The good old days when mystery bags had real flavour!
Yeah that old chestnut ,every town has that old wife's tale
@@somekindaguy100 Yep my ex swears she saw Sunnybank buffet gardens dragging in dead dogs in backdoor! Though $10 all you can eat buffet was good value and the sweet and sour pork was like nothing I'd tasted b4!
Looks yum
Looks very interesting 🙂
Looked terrific....until you opened the lid.
Riverhills Bakery is my go-to for pies. Tastes fantastic and their pies only cost around $3.40 - $3.80 each.
Even the local shops have gone eco friendly with the timber cutlery.
Law in Qld
Not a fan of the paper straws.
@@limosine Who cares. Better for the environment is better for earth and its inhabitants. And plus, I see nothing wrong with paper straws. They seem to work just fine for me.
@@chewie3977 Fair enough
@@limosine I'm not either mate!! Seem we need to bring our own these days!! Aliexpress has volumes of metal or glass ones but you're gambling with quality.
The best youtube title ever.
The filling is obviously anti drip ... the perfect one handed pie.
Fair review Greg. I've been to Muzzas a few times. The Pie shop you need to review is "Syds Pies" on the service road of the M1 near the Cleveland exit. It's a pommy joint and they have a Guiness Beef Pie that's amazing 👏
Theirs already a review on syds pies. Think grego had a Guinness pie too..
been there twice
Definitely cornflour . Added to the gravey ,mostly gravy and less chuncks of meat .humm you did say it was small . Just a pie . 6 grego lol
Odd that most different parts of the world have the same names of towns cites places and counties. Good video sir.
Interesting!
Congrats mate, you know now what dog tastes like!🤣
"Buy one or we'll both Starve"
I love pies 🥧
Greg.
I’m glad you’re not Santa Claus,
Stopping at every house for milk & cookies!
Please review a lot more salads and vegetarian dishes !
what do you think of fray bentos?
Awesome, Greg the Gardiner...
Easts tigers are in corpooroo
Chicken and apricot pie wow that’s different you should try that next time I like chicken pies cos it’s not so chewy
Haven't had a Muzza's pie for years, but they were always a solid choice. That combo of the firm pastry and thicker gravy made it an excellent pie for eating on the run. Reckon a 7.5/10 would have been a fair rating back then.
👍
It didn’t look appetising. They over thickened the gravy.
Greggo I love your vids bud keep it up sir
thanks :D
I guessed right! 😀
Looks like a nice enough pie but I think you guessed it Grego, too much flour in the gravy. Excellent review as always!!!
Can you do Piefection in Coorparoo?
That English place you went to on the M1 the go when it comes to Pies
Have you tried the scollop pie?
Pretty nice dude
If the meat is chewy then it was not stewed long enough!
i've tried 'em, they'd be lucky to get 2/5 from me
I'm sure it will look alot more attractive coming out
:D :D :D
What kind of minced road kill is that inside mate ? :-)
That's not a 'football' shape, Grego!
Pie and pastry Paradise, Hervey Bay.
On Elizabeth drive?
@@bizzlemizzle8467 I prefer the main St. Place
Probably beef chucks in it, which is cheaper to buy. I could be wrong.
All they did is scrape off the seargenrs logo at the top and he's impressed
Ha Ha you know he is from New Zealand? he used to own one in auckland and a relative bought it from him and it is still going strong in fact had pies from there last week just thought you might like to know in NZ pies have to have 75% meat content in aussie pies only 25% so chew on that
Do you have jesters pie franchises in the eastern states
No and I wouldn't buy a pie from a franchise.
It looks good and is a great buy for the price ✔
Well its meaty and pie-ey and well it chews like a meat pie and smells like a meat pie , in conclusion its a meat pie
yep. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...👍
I would try their vegetarian pies. They seemed pretty good.
That's not steak Grego. That's Brisbane Bin Chicken Casserole in pastry. Beef is too expensive these days.
The pastry looks undercooked in the middle
Made in a town famous for 'missing' hitchhikers.
You chose a boring flavour considering all the choices
Imagine Greg doing a fish and chip review at the local nude beach bahaha schnapper and gummy fish everywhere! #420Grego
Looks like Vilis, but they put too much flour or cornflour in the gravy
Why does it only comes in that Size❓
Croaky Greg look at all them pies!
fuckin oath greggo
2:24 That's what she said
maybe throw some brown sauce on it to water it down. lol Seems beany.
Mmm, looks like a chocolate pudding on the inside
$3 pie with a $7 price tag
How can you eat a pie without tomatoe sauce?. The gooey gravy is likely cornflour.
Il pass on that there grego
I'm a big fan of the meat pie but not a pie with chunky meat and jelly gravy good review though but the pies at emerton bakery are alot better nsw but I like a qld pie with mushy peas and gravy
I would actually prefer a really thick gravy like that, because there's nothing worse than when lava-hot gravy spills out of the pie and burns your arms or hands.
Not so sure about the meat, but even allowing for the fact that ol' Greggo likes everything "well-done," I've never seen stewed beef pink inside.
Maybe @Brad Tippa is right: it's not actually beef, it might be pork shoulder but I think it could also be silverside.
Always mince and cheese 😉
Slosh
You missed several "that's what she said" moments.... I'm seriously disappointed my friend.😂
That looks awesome!, if only we had pie shops in the US.. 😔
Maybe one day!
Better pies at Hervey Bay Top of the bakery
50c for sauce..what's the world coming to
You could almost use the sauce??? as blue tac to hang christmas decorations...even the worst homebrand pies would look better inside than that.
**aldi and coles sell single pieces of either rump steak or porterhouse steak and you could make a better pie at home using the pie maker.
It’s a little bit different 🥧 Just like the person eating it😊
Don't say that too loud Melissa might be listening 😂
It looks like chocolate pudding
Whatcha talkin bout Willis
Previously they never charged for sauce
the gravy looks like mushrooms, corn beef is dark pink, wasn't corn beef was it ?
There is nothing worse in this world than wooden forks.
Can think of a few things old mate..
@@rickythomas3034 I can't. Just cannot stand the texture of them. Like scratching a black board with nails.
Paper straws ☹️👎
Grego... Muzza does THE BEST SAUSAGE ROLLS.... EVER.. SO FLAKEY PASTRY Hmm ... Please try one... or we'll both starve
ah it says gluten free
They good old Aussie meat pie .gotta have 🍅 sauce
Gluey, gooey, pooey.
Its horse in meat
If that pie is an indication of the quality of their pies I'll be giving them a big miss. Pity given the variety. The only upside I could see is that the filling would not run down your hand & arm & burn you if it was too hot.
