Greg, you’ve got to try a pie from David’s hot bread on wondall Rd at manly west. Across the road from the wynnum manly leagues club.
It’s a hidden gem! You won’t be sorry. I worked at a bakery that had award winning pies when I was at high school… David’s hot bread pie leave them for dead. Trust me, it’s be eaten a few pies on my time.

    1) literally round the corner from my joint, so could have called me in for the review
    2) Muzzas is okay, but only 5 mins away is a really bloody good pie. Stone Artisan Bakery, its inside the Rock n Roll fruit shop & Deli, on Logan rd Greenslopes just passed Stones Corner
    3) 40c for the dead horse is a disgrace. When i come to power, charging for sauce will bet met with mandatory jail time!

Syds Pies off Drew's Road on the service road of the M1 is a bell ringer too. Their Guiness beef Pie with mushy peas are outstanding. I've heard WA has some crackers too. Be keen to try

Alot of cornflour and I could see gelatin in that so called gravy! It looked good to begin with and made me hungry! But the puff was a magic act to create illusion of quality! Because you take the time to dissect your reviews! You were able to see pie smallish, pastry flavourless and guts lacking chunks of meat with an average gravy filling! The average punter would just bite into it and think it's ok! Because people eat with their eyes! If it looks good they are halfway there to believing it tastes good!
