It's legitimately good, but there are a plethora of obviously paid for fluff piece reviews barking from a script floating around, unfortunately. I don't know why they felt it necessary to do that when the game is plenty strong enough to carry its own weight, so long as they don't sneak micro-transactions into World Tour / Battle Hub.

It may not be able to hold a candle to some of the godlike stuff people that have been doing it for years can do, but it was nice to see them go through the trouble of making some cinematic representations of gameplay.
I'd love to see some "canon-lite" theme matches to further characterize how each fighter would interact with another in a fight, if they were adhering to a story.

Been a while since i had this much fun with a Street Fighter game. The open bêta was enough for me to pre-oder this game, had a lot of fun ! and i didn't notice any major optimization issues. CAPCOM delivered again.

@@MrJigglebits Vicious is one of the play-by-play commentator options. You can choose a color commentator as well.
I usually avoid pre-ordering anything, but both this game and Final Fantasy 16 have changed my perspective of it completely.

As someone who’s been playing nothing but the demo for the past few weeks, I’m very familiar with this screen.
0:12 Unless it's a perfect tie we've never seen before, I'm glad that they made the DI push back if the two players press the buttons in a very close timing.
Seen it happen a couple times during the betas. Seems like it has to be literally same frame input, which is probably why they did it right at the game starting frame. Love how thei fight was choregraphed to showcase so many situations, hate that they made Luke win 🥲
So Capcom, whens the video about the Battle Pass coming out you "forgot" to tell us about until yesterday?

Totally hyped for the game.. but.. come on. Ryu would win, he's the main character for me, embodies the unending path towards perfection as a warrior for what's good while being zen about it. :)

This was a santion stage match to bring in the new guard here on out. Ryu is the face of Street Fighter but Luke is the future for Street Fighter.

Luke made me get into Street Fighter honestly
Even tho this was scripted this was still a great fight, would like to see live-action pardoy of this fight tho with Ryu vs Luke it would be sick! Also with early reviews so far this is shaping out to be another 1 of Capcoms greatest games yet again. You guys rock!

That commentary feature is going to get real old real fast.
It's just like a tournament so if you have a problem with it then just turn it off.
You can turn it off but the commentary feature has been a thing for a long. Wouldn't mind it from time to time when I feel like it.
Just glad they gave an option to turn them off. Its not my thing after playing the demo. A win/win for those who likes it and to those who don't.

The commentary is fine, it just absolutely needs a lot of lines and variations to avoid repeats
If you add the color commentary it sounds more fuller.
