Absolutely brilliant idea to have those shelves for each row of door bricks next to the kiln! It’s these little things that add up to make a smooth go of it!
Exactly what I was thinking when seeing it in the video. Those "little" things can almost be said to be defining for real craftsmanship, I think.
Hi jack great seeing your work, still remember the old college days when u were a teacher, teaching me, I'm still doing pottery after all these years producing traditional stoneware pottery, thankyou for inspiring me all thoughs years ago 😀
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Very clear explanation . All your pots are extraordinary. 👍😍
Thank you for this peaceful and gracious video. The pots are extraordinary and to see your firing process adds another whole layer of amazement. Wonderful. Stay well!
Lovely to see and hear
Beautiful pots! Thank you for sharing some of the specifics of your firing schedule. Is your hot chamber of the kiln built entirely of soft brick with a blanket over? Thank you!
soft brick? the bricks will be special hire temperature fire brick and thermal high temperature blanket on outside of these probably.
@@-swampsparrow4708 soft brick is just another term for insulated fire bricks, (IFB). Like the brick inside an electrik kiln.
Beautiful video, thank you. What recipe is used to make the little stilts placed under the pots to prevent sticking to the shelves?
wadding is usually made from alumina and fire clay, look it up on a pottery website such as ceramicartsnetwork.org
